WHAT I'M DOIN' AT THE MOMENT (in case anyone cares): My family is insane. And I mean crazy. My (fraternal) grandma bit my mom the other day. We have all these quirky family stories, and I'm using them for a basis of a collection of short stories, about a girl in the almost-fictional-but-not-really-cause-it's-kinda-mine family.

Sorry to tell you, but my family's the weirdest. Even our rabbi said so when we were having a meeting about my sister's bat mitzvah. My grandfather lives in a cabin in the woods, my great-uncle just changed his name...stuff like that.

Uhhh, since I have a boringly normal family, I'll talk about works in progress.
In progress is a story about a girl who basically gets sold into slavery and has to find her way back home. It was originally a story that I was going to submit for the monthly contest several years ago (the one where they told you to write a story about one of the places on the map on the cover), but it grew way beyond the 200-word limit. And I kept coming up with more stuff to add, and now it's almost a full-length (though short) novel. And I'm thinking about writing two more, but don't have any more than a general idea what will happen in them.
Anyway, since it's waaay too long to post the whole thing, I won't. Wish I could though; you people give great critique.
