So it has been just forever since I've done an rp for multiple reasons. Time, too many, none that caught my interesting, etc. etc. So now I'm finally making one that I've been thinking about forever.
The general frame of the idea takes place in a dystopian yet steampunk themed society. The world's culture and lifestyle is now is run mostly and dominated by machinery which is under the control of the once good but now corrupt government. Due to the government's corruption, an underground society formed to revolt against the government. Over the course of time however, the exhaust and output of the machinery
began to affect the people. Born to a handful of people were children with extraordinary abilities. These children had powers.
So I hope the idea was clear, it'll cultivate more as we rp. And usually I don't but I'm instating a few rules:
-No overpowering (if I think your character may be too powerful I may ask you to revise it a bit)
-No AEs please
-Please don't constantly post. This is going to be a slower rp. If you've just posted, or recently posted, please wait some time to let others have a chance to post. I myself can't get on frequently, and I know others can't always either. And please check to see who the last person who posted was, and if their comment has been posted yet. It makes it less confusing.
-Please write in full paragraphs, not just a few lines. Again, it just helps to make it less confusing and helps it to flow better. Also please caption the top with your character's name so we know whom we're reading from. I always forget whose character is whose.

I've been asked to save a spot for Indigo, Teresa, Theo, and True, so after that I'm allowing about five other people to join. Simply because a lot of people joining makes it chaotic and often times people don't stay committed when there're too many.

Thanks, BHR! This looks awesome. I'm really excited about this! Just have one question - do we get to pick the powers our charries get, and if so, what kind of powers are we talking about?
I'll think about my character for a while before putting him/her down. I'm pretty sure it'll be a guy who's 15 or something like that (to even the boy/girl ratio and to get along with the general age) but it might turn out differently if I can't get any character out of that. Knowing me, I'll probably change the facts on the form by the time the RP has ended. But at least I'll figure out what kind of person I'm writing for. I'll get someone in soon.

Of course, no problem! Glad you like it! Yes, you get to pick the powers whatever you like so long as it's not obviously over the top. It can be really well anything. Think .. . think along the lines of Keeper of the Lost Cities I suppose. The kind of realistic powers they have. Anything from pyrokenisis, or telepathy, or wing or ice abilities, or even flying and stuff like that. Really anything you like.
Okay that sounds great! Write whatever kind of character you like, and post it when you're ready. We won't be starting for a few more days yet.

Okay. I think I have room.
Name: Tris Lionheart
Age: 17
Personality: Incredibly serious. Really intelligent. She is probably equal in intelligence to Xi. Great at inventing. Kind of portrayed as emotionless. She has a deep fear of the ocean and everything in it. Somewhat sarcastic.
Appearance: Dark red hair, emerald green eyes, kind of lanky. Around 5'9". Wears a white, slightly dirty white T-shirt, ripped jeans, a denim button up on top, black combat boots, and green goggles usually hang around her neck. She usually keeps her hair in a messy low ponytail. Always looks bored. And when she does smile, it's really small.
Extra: Her power is where she can scan the interior of almost anything with her mind. When she scans something, her forehead glows a slight greenish blue. She was adopted by a war general and lives in a war base (Can they maybe find her? I have a little plan). When thinking, she makes a kind of ticking noise. (You all will later know why she always looks bored.) She speaks in a monotistic voice.

I think Xi should want to be friends with Tris but Tris is afraid because of Xi's startlingly ocean-like eyes and her mannerisms.

Or enemies, competing to be the smartest. Oh and one more characteristic about Tris, she's reserved. Because she's the outcast in the military base, she prefers being by herself. But they probably could be friends.

So I'm finally gettin' round to makin' this!
Name: Avril Coble
Age: 16
Personality: Open, attentive, sharp witted, determined. She takes things in stride, and tries not to let adversity get her down. When things affect her, she does her best to push the emotions to the side for the time being. Loves to smile and laugh, but she doesn't let them hide her brains or keep her from being serious. Affectionate and welcoming.
Appearance: Shoulder length blonde hair with it lightly feathered around her face and a light fringe of bangs. Black eyes, lightly tanned skin, and freckles across her nose and beneath her eyes. She's short, only about 5 feet tall.
Extra: She lives in a small apartment above an odds and ends store with her aunt whom owns the store. The apartment is neighbored by a large factory. Her parents died in in accident some years before but it doesn't really affect her. Her only little secret tidbit is the ragdoll she's owned since infancy and can't give up and gets quite defensive over.
Okay here's my character, I'm still thinking for sure on her power. By the way, so long as there's not competition over who's strongest, I dont' have anything against more than one person having the same power. I myself know powers can be difficult to write and good yet unique ones are hard to come up with.
Also, please no deciding friends or enemies right off. Something I've found with roleplays is when people do that they have the subconscious tendency to stick with mainly that other character, and not enough group interaction happens, so people become excluded.

Guess what, guys!! I am drawing a picture of Eyva!! It's almost done, and I'll post it soon!! It is the best art I've done in a while, so I'm really excited for it! Wish me luck in finding a way to sneak it online.

Awesome! I can't wait to see it! I drew Rose and all of the Tavern family, but they were just sketches and not very good, so I probably won't upload them. I plan to make a better one in the future, though. I don't know what image posting site you use, but I recommend imgur--it works pretty well for me!
