Okay, I get that
there are lots of roleplays going on right now, and that there is already a
dystopian roleplay or two.  But, I have
been planning this for a while, and now it’s my birthday! :D So, here goes:

In the year 2028
the taxes rose. For ten years after they kept on rising. The taxes became too
much for the people. Then, in 2038 the government and the world made a
‘deal.’  Any new babies born and given to
the government would lower a family’s tax. Of course they had to oblige, or die
themselves. Now, there is Newborn City, founded in 2038. There is a section for
each year, each age. 2038: 17 year olds. 2039: 16. And so on. The babies are
collected on the anniversary of the decree. 
That is our birthday; a day the world celebrates for the government’s
pleasure and morns in secret for our sake. Then we reached year 2055, the
latest, and last, newborns came in. Then the viper was released. It overgrew
the rest of the world. The earth was covered in jungle, people suffocated to
death by the man-killing plant. The world was gone, the only Exceptions
Washington DC and Newborn City.

We kids are force-fed propaganda,
completely under the government’s manipulation. 
Literally fed. The food they give us has something…some poison that
makes us stupid. We only know what they teach. What they teach is our all. Not
once have we ever thought about the massive, dense jungle that surrounds us.
Except for a very select few. These few, if found out, are taken and punished. We
few have certain powers, the only ones who can stop this nonsense and overtake
the government.

Goal: To find the seed, what
started the man-eating plant, and destroy it.

By having a goal, I believe it may help the RP
not to die. If we accomplish the goal, we can either start again or be done. In
that time we may let another person or two join.

The powers are not something like
water or fire control. Something more like telekinesis or super hearing.

Cool Cool Cool!!

Name~ Lindee Martino

Year (U made me do math!)~ 2044

Appearance~ Soft blonde curly hair that goes past her shoulders with a few natrual white highlights. Blue eyes that are kinda dreamy/fade-y/calm and she just looks.... White, gentle, and soft, like you could hug her. And I don't mean white like white skin (although her skin is a creamy sort of pale but not really colour) I mean like if you were to chose a colour to describe her you would chose white. White, white, white, white. And she wears white too. And flowy stuff. But not usually dresses just like a flowy white shirt and white jean shorts. 

Personality~ Like a princess but she's not snobby. She likes things to perfect, has a little bit of high expectations, and is kind like a princess should be. But she's not a princess.

Yeah sorry I'm not really familiar with this power thing... um.... how 'bout she can float. Like not fly but sometimes she can get a few inches above the ground but like she can't control it. How's that?

Appearance: Blonde hair, sea green eyes.
Personality: Smart, quiet, reserved. Currently somewhat wild, though (see Other)
Other: She was the first "Rebel," she was smart enough to throw off the government's control last year. She is now kept in the core of the Oscuridad Facility, and underground, labyrinth-like prison. She is tied tightly with chains and manacles. She has extreme telekinetic powers. Oh, and did I mention she can't see? However, she can sense where she is and what's around her to vey minute details. She is not really stable. As soon as she leaves the prison, she'll be fine, but just to give you an idea, no one keeps the job as her caretaker without being hurt or worse.

Jeniakiraseluua (Zhe-nee-ah-kee-ra-sel-oo-a) Nirumechitalite (Nee-roo-me-cheet-ah-lee-tay) (Goes by Jeni, pronounced Zhe-nee, mostly)  

Year: 2043 (12) (2050 would literally be 5)

Appearance: Black hair in a ponytail, green leggings and button-up shirt, and her eyes are the color of a bubble or an oil spill. 

Personality: Hard to figure out. Goes from funny but slightly off to sarcastic to "AHHH I am universally hated". The last one is rare.

Other: She can read minds. Also, she has a secret... MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

Name: Spike.

Year: I'm not doing the math. 20. One of the oldest. Came here a long time ago.

Appearance: Short blue hair that spikes up. Brown eyes, tall. Wears long boots and long jeans. Short tanktop.

Personality: Harsh, dark, a loner. Has long ago given up on escaping, and keeps her secrets with herself. Has no friends, and people whisper about her past... Can burst into tears at random moments, but when she wants to do something she gets it done fast and I quietly as possible. Althetic and resourceful, doesn't share her smart cleverness with anyone else.

Other: Whole family died to the plant. She saw it with her own eyes. She was 5 back then. The first one to come, she knows that it's pretty much impossible to escape. Has kinda like Scarlet Witch's powers. So she can make storms of energy created from the brain, and she can milipulate the mind and control it. Sometimes she can get overrun with others' thoughts, and breaks down screaming with memories. When this happens, Spike has to be put in containment. Her real name is Milani Pequrtiyta, but prefers to be called Spike.

Name: Anya Simforsha (Type random letters. YEAH!)

Year: 2040 (15)

Appearance: Long,wavy, read hair. She usually has it in two braids. Green eyes and LOTS of freckles. She smiles a lot and has suprisingly white teeth. Her lips are a pale pink. She is tall and wears regular jeans that flare out at the bottom. She has a belt buckle with a dragon on it. A button-up shirt with the top button undone. It's a pale blue color. She wears a necklace with a shark tooth.

Personality: Crazy and fun, creative, bubbly.

(And I forgot to add power. SILLY ME) Power: The ability to see different outcomes of choices. Example: She can see what would happen if she took a left, and what would happen if she took a right. 

Other: Has a western accent.

This is probably a stupid question, but is this based on a book? If not, can I join? If so, can you tell me a little bit about it, then can I join? Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I was at the hospital for a little while.
