Magic RP. I

Magic RP. I
Magic RP. I think we should do an RP were everyone lives in the present and they all (at different times) find a book at the local library. This book when opened will whisk the opener into a magical land called Soyrema where there are fairies, elves , dwarves , dragons and other magical things. There are five places that you can land in the booked depending on where you open it. The first chapter is about fairies and elves and if you open to that chapter you land in the forest. The second chapter is about dwarves. If you open to that chapter you will end up under ground in their mines. The third chapter is about magical animals. You will land in the mountains if you open to that chapter. The fourth chapter is about humans you will land in the planes. The fifth one is about the things that live in the ocean and all that live in it. If you open to that chapter you will land in a rowboat with land in sight. Anyway the idea is for ten children ages 8 to 19 to come through the book and stop the war that has been raging in the land. One more thing only the distant relations of the people listed above can find and go through book. What do you think? Here is the person sheet.

My eyes flutter open in a daze as I emerge from the darkness.
I gaze upwards and am face to face with a glowing yellow sun in a baby-blue sky. "Oh, how nice," I murmur sleepily, only to scramble up in a haste as soon as my brain registers that I'm not in the library.
My eyes widen in shock.

OK, are my facts
right? Aster picked up the same magical book that transported Nellethiel and
Zack into Soyrema. Zack and Nellethiel ended up popping into the same boat
together (or is there another charrrie named Jack whom I overlooked?), nothing
has happened with Corina yet, and Aster and Mellie have. Excluding
the librarian who thinks she's either going blind or hallucinating. Is
that right? Thanks guys! Ya'll are doing a great job.

HELP! I'M SO CONFUSED!
(January 24, 2015 - 6:44 pm)
Saoirse~~
I walk into the library, my boots clicking on the floor.
Click. Click. Click. Click.
They click their last click as I walk up to the librarian's desk. She looks up from the book she was stamping, an old green book with no name on the cover.
She pushes her glasses up and smiles. I smile back as she says, "Good morning Saoirse! How have you been?" She's so humble and warm; she reminds me of my grandmother.
"Good! Drama club has been going great as well!"
She smiles, and mentions something about a book-shelving meeting and I just nod my head, eager to devour another book.
She rambles on and on before she notices she was rambling. When she finally notices, she looks up at me and I smile as she smiles back. As she goes back to stamping books, I slip away to one of my favorite corners of the library.
There is one beanbag chair in the corner, one that I always sit at. Not many people go to this corner, so I'm normally alone. But, I notice a beanbag chair not far away. A book lies in front of it.
Intrigued, I pick up the book. It's green and has the title written in gold. I've never seen it before, so I open it, since it seems to be about fantasy: one thing I have and will always love.
I flip to a page. It's about mermaids and the magical world they live in. I sigh, thinking about how wonderful it would be to be one. Swimming all day, not a care in the world.
Suddenly, one word jumps off the page. Then another. Then another. Finally, the page is blank, except now the words surround me, circling me like whirlpool.
The next thing I know, I'm in a rowbot that is about to be flipped over, two other people in it with me.
Sorry it took long for me to to this! I hope it's good so far! I think Saoirse will just be a mermaid. Hmm... Maybe.

Huh. A book on the floor. Definitely a new low for the librarian. I've visited this section often enough, but wouldn't you think I'd have noticed a big green leather-bound book with a sparkly golden title? Maybe it's on loan from another library. But if that's true, then why did the person who requested it leave it here? In any case, it's intriguing. I pick it up for a closer look.
The book looks like it was made in the Middle Ages, and yet it's good as new. The title, The Magic Book for Children, is too shimmery to be real gold, and the emerald green of the cover is too vivid to be real leather...isn't it? This book just gets stranger and stranger. I plop myself down in a beanbag chair and let the book fall open at random. The left page is filled with a color image of a silvery dragon swooping down after prey. The right page is the beginning of a chapter: Dragons and Other Magical Animals.
But then I can read no further, as the words come alive.
They rear up off the page like a snake's head, regarding me coolly. An old, musty smell fills my nostrils, like a forgotten attic with some not-altogether-normal things packed away. There's a rush like a waterfall at the edges of my hearing, together with a roar I could swear was the dragon from the picture. Then the words begin to coil around me, first like a boa constrictor and then like a whirlwind. Everything rises - the sound, the words, my fear - and then I'm falling backward into darkness.

HELP! I'm so confused! Does Nelllithiel fall for Zack or is there a character named Jack whom I overlooked? I just wanted to know where I should go with the story. Nellithiel's an awesome character by the way! keep up the good work!
(January 29, 2015 - 7:44 pm)
I think she meant Zack.
(January 30, 2015 - 7:10 am)
Yes, it's Zack.
I start to swim towards the two people, but everything goes black and I am suddenly near a.. fairy and another girl.
I look down. I have an obsidian staff carved with snowflakes.
The two gasp. "Who're you?"
"I look like a Frost Elf," I say to myself.
Suddenly a white robed man who looks exactly like me walks in.
"You are half Frost Elf. Welcome, Nellethiel."
(January 30, 2015 - 8:30 am)
Mellie~
I blink, looking toward the supposidly half frost elf, Nellethiel.
"Gee, I'm glad I don't need to carry that thin' around," I say, glancing at the staff. Nellethiel is taking this way more seriously then needed.
"This... This seems impossible.."
"Look, almost half the day was impossible. I find it quite amazing!" I giggle, my hair bouncing on top of my neck.
"Oh, please," she says, looking offended. I look at the robed elf.
"Dude, aren't a bit hot in those? I'm quite fine in these fairy clothes. And seriously, the staff? All fairies have to do is wave their hands around and babam! I turn that rock into a angry blue eyed potato!" I look at him again. He looks very red in the face. Gee, people need to get a chill pill some time!
"But fairies are annoying, uncontrollable, unwise, mischievous little globs of magic," the elf says with his chin in the air.
"And that's why I enjoy my time, unlike elves, who are wise, serious, too polite, and with no sense of humor," I snap back.
(January 30, 2015 - 10:03 pm)
Okay, thanks!
(January 31, 2015 - 1:28 pm)
This is before Nellithiel meets up with Mellie:
Zack came close to
having a mental breakdown. He was trapped in some crazy world called Soyrema,
he was sitting next to a girl he'd never met before, and to top it off he had a
fish tail.
"AHHH!" he yelled. He flopped around in the
boat, trying to get up, but, of course, he didn't have legs. The girl next to
him was having about the same reaction. With the two of them crashing
around inside the boat, it started to sway, then it tipped, then it turned over
and sent both kids (still screaming) crashing overboard into the
water.
"Help! Help! I' drowning!" Jack yelled as
he thrashed around.
"C-calm d-down you dolt! You're part fish!" the girl shouted at him.
"Oh, oh, right," said Zack. He shut
his eyes. Slow your breathing, he thought to himself, so what
you're part fish? You love fish. You have one at home. Okay, you're stuck in
another world with mermaids with no way to get home. So what? Things could be
worse. After he finally opened his eyes again, he saw the same girl
staring at him in awe. He sighed. He was calm. He followed her
gaze down to his tail. Wait-his tail- it was...gone!
"How did you do that!?" said the girl.
"I-I don't know...I just...got control of myself
and...whoa!" The reason for his exclamation was simple. While he had been
jabbering on about his extra limb, his companion had shut her eyes and-with him
watching- her tail had vanished leaving just her legs. The girl smiled in
satisfaction.
"Well, now that we know we have a
superpower, mind giving me your name?" she asked.
"Zack. Yours?"
"Nellethiel." Just then, a Zack heard a
loud pop. There was a flash of light, and then, Nellithiel was gone!
“Gaahh!” Zack
yelped. “Seriously?!? I’ve had enough surprises for a lifetime!” he shouted in fear
and frustration. “Nellithiel! Where are you? Are you okay?" he called in panic and worry. His friend didn’t reply. Zack was alone
in Soyrema once again.

The staff seemed like it was--part of me. Like an extra part of my mind that heightened my senses, made me see more clearly.
I was not amused that the fairy insulted it.
"Fairies don't need staffs,"
"Neither do I," I said. I somehow knew it was true. The other elves gasped.
"Is she the one..."
"The MageWeilder..."
I turned to the fairy. "You want to see what I can do?" It felt like someone else was giving me confidence, or as if the discarded staff could still help me.
"I can show you!"
I blasted the wall next to me, coating it with MageIce. Fireproof, heatproof, shatterproof ice. The Frost Elves gasped. "You made MageIce at such a young age?" one asked me.
"Why?" I asked. "Can't most of you do it?"
Their silence was my answer.
"We need to see Oberon!" one called, and others muttered agreement.
I paled. Oberon, the fairy king. The Lord of Shadows.

Can someone make up the geography of Soyrema sometime soon? It might end up being me, but at the moment our charries are pretty far apart, and we might need some places in between to travel through, in order to meet up.
~Corina~
My first sensation when I wake up is of cold, rough ground beneath me, and a biting chill in the air. I groan and try to sit up, but am immediately downed again by a strange wave of dizziness. Pain claws at my chest; I gasp for breath, feeling winded and nauseous. Is the air thinner here, wherever the heck I am? A glimpse of bright sky and gray rocks through slitted eyelids answers my own question. Yup, I'm in the mountains someplace. The dizziness subsides after a minute or two, allowing me to stand up and survey my surroundings.
My first impression is that these mountains are HUGE! The treeline of the one I'm on is far below, and yet its peak is even further above, obscured by a layer of clouds. All the other mountains I can see are of comparable immensity. For a moment I stand motionless, in awe of their wild, majestic beauty. Then a frigid breeze slices through my sweatshirt and pants, and I realize that I have to get moving. The sun is at its zenith, which means I have only a few hours to find food and shelter. Down the mountain is my best option...But wait. What's that in the sky over there? It looks like a brown eagle, but if it's that far away, then it must be...Holy cow. If my reckoning is at all correct, then that eagle is the size of Mom's apartment!!

Aster-
I gaped at the ice elf who coated the wall in ice. As soon as the ice had hit the wall my injured arm had suddenly throbed. I look at her staff and see with a chill that it is made of an odd substance. It is like black rock but stronger and shinier. "Who made you that staff ?" I asked. "I did," an old man that I had not seen before said. He was all dressed in white and had a white beard to match. "It was made by the dwarves, then I cast an ice spell on it. It is made of fire stone melted many times then molded into a staff, "he told me. Then my elf ( her name is Aranauta) stepped forwerd and said, "That may be, Astmerval but I heard another story. I heard that you murdered the first owner of that staff and took it to use for your own good. Then, a woman came to you in a dream and said that the staff would no longer work for you until someone who is a true descendent of the first wizard came and would either use the staff to kill you or to kill us.". When she was finished I looked again at the frost elf who I thought I had seen before. She looked confused and she had good reason. Then the fairy who had been fluttering around my ear twittered, "We had better see the king and soon," and silently I agreed.

.:Evette:.
I'm pacing around in a circle and biting my lip, something I tend to do when I'm stressed out. This...how could this have happened? One second I'm cozied up in the library and the second, poof! I'm stranded in the middle of nowhere.
I search the area, in hopes of finding some way out of this place. The ground seems kind of rocky, a layer of gravelly dust blanketed across the earth. And it's warm - the sun beats down on the back of my neck, probably giving me a sunburn. Great, this is great.
Suddenly the bottom of my shoe slips, and I tumble backwards, losing my balance. I reach my hands out behind me to grip onto the ground, but there's nothing there...
My breath tapers as I slowly turn around and catch sight of the infinite sky hovering over a land that seems hundreds of miles below. I'm on a mountain...the - the same one that was in the book...
I feel breathing down my neck and whip around, suddenly face-to-face with two green marble eyes.
