Questions RP

So I started a "Questions" thread in Down to Earth and I was thinking it could be turned into an RP, so here it is!

Here are the original questions:

1. Describe your interests, activities, and hobbies. Describe what you do in your spare time. Explain why you’ve gotten interested in these things. (You may include your favorite T.V. programs, magazines, sports, ect.)

2.What do you like to read? Who is your favorite author? If you were on a deserted island, which books would you want to have with you?

3.Describe your passions of learning and how you are currently pursuing them.

4.What do you believe is the most important event, discovery, or development of the last few years and why?

5.Describe any talents you have. How do you demonstrate them?

I also answered the questions Name, age, and town. Lots of people answered, and there haven't been very many RPs right now. So, I was thinking we could all make a new character or keep our old one.

@ Teresa: I don't blame you! That sounds thoroughly aggravating! I despise when people don't try to keep up, and hold the rest of us back.

Whitney ~

We passed into the park, breathing a sigh of relief. I was especially thankful that I hadn't set off any sort of detector, since I was hiding three screwdrivers, several sticks of dynamite (you never know), my pocket knife, and a key ring of many things besides just keys. We entered into the jungle section of the zoo, where we saw tigers, lions, monkeys, elephants, zebras, and giraffes. Next came the ocean section, with a ride through tunnel with different types of sharks, fish, seahorses, and other random types of marine life. Then came seals, penguins, and polar bears. Personally, I think that a polar bear would make a great pet! Then came a petting zoo with camels, donkeys, horses, and pigs.

"This is terrible," I said as we sat on a bench, watching the crowds. Now that we were in, we decided it wasn't necessary to stay with the school group. "The animals hate being petted like this, you can tell that without trying. And they've become fat and lazy thanks to being kept in an enclosure! These animals don't even know what freedom is."

"Then tonight, we bust them out," said Millard, and Gloria nodded. I loved how they were getting into the mood of things!

---

I stood up, stretching. It was about eleven o'clock, and the place was deserted. I grabbed all my tools, including my machete, which I thrust into my belt. We crept up to the zoo entrance.

"Ready?" I asked.

Gloria~

"I'm ready," I whispered. Millard nodded in agreement. "Good, then let's get going," Whitney said, starting for the nearest cage: the crocodiles and alligators. I grabbed her arm, "Let's try another cage first".

I knew that crocodiles could be deceiving. They only look like they're slow, lazy creatures, but when put in the right situation, they can be aggressive.

Whitney shook her head in disagreement. "The crocs will be the perfect animal to release first. You aren't scared, are you?," Whitney challenged. Millard intervened, "We'll have to release the gators sooner or later, so it shouldn't matter if we do them first or last. Since we're here, we should do them now". I sighed, "Two against one. Let's do it".

Whitney ran up to the cage door and shook it. The metal rattled, but the lock did not break. Millard bent down to examine the lock. "This looks easy to unlock, if only we had something thin and strong", he said. I pulled a barrette out of my hair. "Would this do?" I asked. Millard took it out of my hand and examined it. "Perfect!" he said as he unlocked it, "I think that you should have the honor of opening our first cage," he said to Whitney.

Whitney grinned, "Thank-you!" Whitney took a deep breath, opened the door and said, "Welcome to freedom, little gators". That was a big mistake. The gators, probably awaken from their sleep by the rattling, were wide awake. Their gleaming eyes looked at us in a distinct way, while their jaws snapped happily. The gators believed we were prey.

A second later, the gators started running towards us. They were FAST! "RUN!" Whitney shouted to us, as if we needed to be told when a pack of hungry crocodiles and alligators were at our heels.

The gator behind me snapped it's jaws, grazing my ankle and stealing my shoe. Annoyed, the gator spit my shoe out and continued to chase me.

Millard was right besides me, panting. His focus was on the alligator behind him, who was inching closer and closer to him. Suddenly, a gator ran in front of Millard and I. I hurdled over it, but poor Millard tripped and landed on the alligator's back. The alligator that was behind him, ignored the collision and plowed around the obstruction, which was lucky for Millard. The alligator that Millard was sitting upon growled (What sound do alligators make???) and spun in a circle, trying to reach Millard. Unable to, the gator twisted and turned in a way that reminded me of a bull ride. Millard desperately hung on to the alligator back until he was tossed into the wishing fountain with a loud splash.

Whitney, the brave one, grabbed a strong stick and spun around to ward off the creature. She hit a crocodile in the head, saying "Back off you ungrateful thing!" Much to her her dismay, the crocodile opened it's jaws and bit the stick to smithereens. Whitney looked at the crocodile and then at the stick before she ran again for her life.

Whitney, Millard and I ran until we found a children's playground that was about two stories high. We climbed to the very top before collapsing, while the crocodile's circled around the base of our sanctuary.

How's that for our first animal saving adventure?

HAHA! I LOVE IT! Also, alligators make a deep, sort of gutteral sound. Like a growl, but quite deep. How do I know? I was at a zoo once (ironic, I know) where a bear and alligator enclosure were side by side (don't ask me why), and the two started growling at each other! They got up face to face at the fence, the bear snorting and growling, and the aligator opening it's jaw and growling. It was wild! So since the only difference I know of between Crocs and Gators is their nose, I figure that their growl would be the same or similar.

Whitney ~

Well how's that for gratitude? We go and give them their freedom, and in return, they try to kill us. Oh well. After the thing bit my stick (so rude), I decided the sane thing (I know, I know), was to run for my life, which I did. I caught a glimpse of Gloria and Millard stuck on top of a children's playground being stalked by the crocodile below. I ran toward a gift shop. The were no doors, just arches into a hut themed building. Inside, stuffed animals, tshirts, caps, bags, and other random stuff. I moved along the shelves, turning around once to find myself face to face with a grinning gator that laughed when squeezed, which nearly caused me to have a heart attack. Suddenly, I came to a wall with whips and fedoras for kids, which gave me an idea.

"Ha!" I shouted at the crocodile, which had been sitting outside the store. I jumped out of the shadows wearing a fedora and cracking the whip. I felt just like Indiana Jones! The thing backed off several feet, growling in return. I slowly paced around it, then headed toward the playground. Gloria and Millard had made several attempts at getting down, but always recieved a nip at their heels. I slowly crept up to it, and layed my whip down.

"What are you doing?" Gloria called down. I grinned up at her.

"Don't worry, I've seen this done on TV!" I walked up to the gator's side, and quickly tapped it. The croc spun around, snapping it's jaws, but I jerked my hand away. I continued moving around it, hitting it, getting it to spin in circles. Finally, when I figured it had been worn down, I slowly went around to it's back. I braced myself, then lunged onto it's back, gripping it's neck.

"Go!" I shrieked as it twisted and thrashed. Gloria and Millard jumped to the ground and raced off. I was about to jump off, when it swung it's head around, knocking me solidly in the head. I was dazed for several seconds, and could feel something warm running down the side of my face, but managed to jump off just as it started to roll. I staggered to my feet, and ran toward Gloria and Millard.

NOTE!!! NEVER TRY THIS! Credit for Gator wrestling goes to the show Gator Boys which premieres on Animal Planet/Discover Channel.

(I've always wanted to put that in an RP! =)

Gloria~

I ran to the nearest cage and jumped the fence. Millard and Whitney did the same before collapsing on the grass, panting. I was also sitting on the ground, focusing on getting my heartbeat back to its normal pace.

"That. Was. A close. One," Millard panted. Whitney nodded her head, causing something to glimmer in the dim lamplight. I crawled over to her and placed my hand on her forehead. The metallic smell of blood filled my nose. "Whitney, you're bleeding!" I said. "I know, but I'm okay," she said, grimacing.

Suddenly, a figure blocked the little light that we had and something rested its paw on my shoulder while snorting. I gave a yelp, but Millard and Whitney were laughing. I turned around to find a hairy black gorilla and his family. The gorilla looked concerned, his eyebrows furrowed. He took his hand off my shoulder and wandered towards Whitney with his arms outstreched. Bending down, he cautiously took a finger and touched her wound and moaned.

One of the shorter gorillas took of running at the sound of the male gorilla's moan. The little one ran to the opposite side of the enclosure where trees with large leaves were growing. He snatched five leaves and ran back to us. The little gorilla gave the large male the leaves, who used them to wipe the blood off Whitney's face.

Then, he placed the thickest leaf over the source of Whitney's blood and grabbed on of the gorillas's toys: a thin rope. Taking the rope, the gorilla tied it around Whitney's head and the leaf.

Millard and I were shocked. Here, a gorilla was giving medical aid to a human, while we didn't do anything. I was also surprised that Whitney was accepting the gorilla's help. If I wanted to help her, she would just shrug her shoulder and say that she was fine.

After making Whitney a make shift bandage, the gorilla extended his hand and pulled Whitney onto her feet. Then, the other family members grabbed our hand and lead us towards...

I was thinking that we could connect in a few ways:

a) after you make an escape or go to the woods, you come across my character hiking in the woods/camping/ whatever.

b) you find me also planning to free the animals (my character is the really outdoorsy animal type).

c) your suggestion

I have a feeling that Millard, Whitney and Gloria will be in the zoo for a while, so I think it might be best if we go with option B.
