Questions RP

Questions RP

So I started a "Questions" thread in Down to Earth and I was thinking it could be turned into an RP, so here it is!

Here are the original questions:

1. Describe your interests, activities, and hobbies. Describe what you do in your spare time. Explain why you’ve gotten interested in these things. (You may include your favorite T.V. programs, magazines, sports, ect.)

2.What do you like to read? Who is your favorite author? If you were on a deserted island, which books would you want to have with you?

3.Describe your passions of learning and how you are currently pursuing them.

4.What do you believe is the most important event, discovery, or development of the last few years and why?

5.Describe any talents you have. How do you demonstrate them?

I also answered the questions Name, age, and town. Lots of people answered, and there haven't been very many RPs right now. So, I was thinking we could all make a new character or keep our old one.

I realized that my character Gloria Hogan has the same last name as my NaNo's main character's foster mom, Mrs. Hogan. Mrs. Hogan also likes to plant flowers. Maybe this is Mrs. Hogan's childhood story!

It hadn't struck me before, but you're right Teresa. This would make a very interesting beginning for Mrs. Hogan!

Whitney ~

I was quite pleased with the girl's answer, though she seemed reluctant to give it. Oh, she'll lighten up, I thought cheerfully.

"You're first job is..." Here I stopped. Then a grin spread over my face. "Hmm." I glanced between her and Millard. A scheme was forming in my head. I could do a lot more with partners. "I'll have to think on it," I said, and I led them into the kitchen. It was small, looking like it came out of the 1940's. A small, square, wooden table stood in the center, with four wooden chairs. The cabinets were peeling white paint, and were falling off the walls. The stove no longer worked, but there was an old wood burner that I used more during the winter. I'd managed to work running water and electricity through certain parts of the house from my neighbor's system. Of course they don't know. All they know is they get an abominable large bill that they are constantly complaining about.

I waved them into a seat, and pulled open the cabinet doors. I had a ton of coffee grounds, though I hadn't the slightest clue what to do with them. I stole someone's coffee once, but it had ice cubes in it, and was just horrid. I had the notion though, that hot coffee with sugar and cream would taste a lot better. Alas, I didn't know how to make coffee.

Maybe I can use one of 'em for that!  I thought happily. I pulled out some crackers and tomato soup, since that was about all I had, and sat down.

"I've been thinking," I said, looking at them both. I allowed a small grin to spread over my face.

"I want to rob the local bank! Gloria, you can prove yourself on this mission. Together, we'll pull of the greatest heist this town has ever seen!"

"I want to rob the local bank! Gloria, you can prove yourself on this mission. Together, we'll pull off the greatest heist this town has ever seen!" Whitney exclaimed.

Rob a BANK!!! My mind whirled, I didn't think Whitney would make me do something that I could be PUT IN JAIL FOR! I inwardly groaned knowing that this could not end well for any of us. I glanced over at Millard whose eyes were wide with shock. Kidnapping me was one thing, but robbing a bank was a different story. "Millard," I said while waving me hand in front of his eyes. He shook his head, "What?"

Whitney rolled her eyes, "Come on, guys! This is going to be awesome with a capital A".

Millard~

I felt sick. Robbing a bank? I slowly slide down in my chair. As if I wasn't in enough trouble already....

"Okay," I sat up. "So we're going to rob a bank. Do you know how crazy that is?"

"You'll love it--you both will! Trust me. We can use the car we just stole, too! It's pretty darn fast."

I groaned, and cast Gloria a look of distane. "Her driving is terrible. Trust me."

"Hey!"

"It's true!"

"Well, I drive pretty well for someone underage with no liecense who never took a test."

I shot Gloria an "I told you so" look.

Whitney ~

Neither seem very enthusiastic with the idea of robbing the bank. I have no idea why.

"Hey, I got us away from the coppers, which you were yelling at them to catch us! I did just fine. Now, onto other business. The coppers are out there lookin for us. We just stole a car. So they'll likely expect us to be long gone, not at the local bank."

Millard and Gloria seemed to doubt this logic, but I forged on. "Everybody robs a bank in the moring or afternoon. Or at least they do in all the old west movies I've ever seen." At this, Gloria and Millard groaned.

"So we'll rob it at midnight! We quietly drive up, park in the back, which has access to a back road leading to the highway. I've become rather good at lock picking, so we'll pick the backdoor lock. Now, naturally there'll be an alarm system. I've learned the best way to take care of stuff like that is a big hammer. So the overall plan is simple, lock picking, hammers, more lock picking, grab the cash, peel out. A silent alarm will alert the authorities, nothing we can do about that. But we'll be long gone before they're even out of bed! You'll go between assisting me in the more, eh, difficult part, and being a lookout. After that, we'll use a lot of the money to buy coffee which you," I point a finger at Millard, "can make!"

They look at me like I'm totally insane and not of this planet. I shrug it off. I get that look a lot. And besides, that money would keep us going for a long time, and help keep me out of a home.

Gloria-

Knowing Whitney - and I haven't even known her long - I knew that there was no way around it. It was either rob the bank or rob the bank. Having no other solid option, I sighed, "Fine, but if I get in trouble..." "You won't, trust me," Whitney said, looking excited - almost too excited. I had learned from experience that if someone says 'trust me', you should not trust them, but going against my conscience I just nodded.

"Perfect. Get some sleep now, guys. We have a plan to put in action at midnight," Whitney said. Millard gave a questioning look at me, I just shrugged. Whitney had this under control, or so I thought.

A full moon glistened in the dark cloud covered sky. A strong storm was heading into town, hopefully slashing the earlier plans to rob the bank. "Oh, it looks like a bad storm, I guess we can't rob the bank tonight," I said, relieved. "No, we are. Don't you see this is the perfect night to rob the bank! The police won't suspect anyone to be out in this nasty of weather!" Whitney commented, picking at a finger nail. I gave her a nervous smile, she did know how the police worked, right? Pushing all my qualms aside, I said, "Well, I guess your logic makes a bit of sense". "Of course it does. Millard, Gloria, are we ready to make some dough?" Whitney said handing us black masks. "Whatever you do, do not take the masks off," Whitney warned.

Then, we went out of the door, carefully closing it, and walked out into the night.

Millard~

In the car, we all sat in solemn silence for awhile. "You know," I said, "if you want some dough, I'm a pretty good baker."

"Bread AND coffee!" Whintney squeled in delight. "This is going to be great!"

I had no idea what the coffee thing was about, but it unnerved me.

We pulled into town, my black mask feeling hot on my face. What was I doing here? What was Gloria doing here? Why was Whitney's driving so terrible? I felt like I was going to lose the dinner I never had. Gloria looked the same. I warned her, though, I though. Or I at least tried to tell her Whitney's driving was terrible.

We drove up onto Main Street, the street where the bank was located. I wanted to scream. But if I did, what would happen to me? What would Whitney do to me? In the worst possible situation, she would kill me. In the best, she'd make me make coffee. I much more prefered the latter, though neither were vary pleasing.

"We're here," whispered Whitney with excitement. A large white buiding with marble pillars that glistened in the moonlight, a sign above the front entrance labeled "Bank."

"We're here," Gloria echoed, and that's when the sirens started screaming.

I haven't been on top of any story at all.... but here's Millard now! So yay!

Oh gosh, this is so much fun!

Whitney ~

Great! I was liking my accomplices more and more. One could even make bread!

"We're here!" I said in excitement.

"We're here," Gloria repeated, sounding a lot less enthusiastic.

Suddenly, sirens blared from nowhere.

"WHAT.THE.HECK!" I shouted. "HOW IN THE NAME OF PROVIDENCE  DID THEY KNOW WE WERE HERE?!" Gloria and Millard merely shook their heads rapidly.

I jumped out of the car, trying to resist the urge to cover my ears. I looked over by the wall bordering the parking lot. My eyes rested on a small box.

A motion sensor, I thought groaning. You should have thought of that, dimwit. I ran forward, taking a small screwdriver out of my pocket. I flipped the cover off, and, with some thought, managed to unplug enough wires that the sirens died. I ran back to the car, and yanked the door open.

"The coppers'll already know we're here, so we gotta move. Fast!"

They jumped out of the car, and we headed up to the Bank's rear door. Using the screwdriver once more, I quickly picked the lock, while Millard and Gloria stood nervously behind me. I passed a hammer to Gloria.

"That alarm'll start soon as we get in there. It'll be located one the wall just opposite the front door. Run down the hall just in front of this door as soon as we open it. Head through another door, then turn right. Remove the painting, and smash the alarm with the hammer. That'll stop it."

She nodded nervously.

"How do you know so much about the bank?" Millard asked.

I just grinned at him impishly.

"Millard, me and you'll turn right as soon as we get in. At the end will be a series of doors. We head to the farthest one. There'll be another security code, but I know this one. Inside will be a series of vaults. I already snitched the key to the motherload, so that again will be easy. Gloria, as soon as you finish off the security system, come to the back and help us load up the money. Okay? Oh, and don't bother trying to open the front door. They rig it at night. They started doing that shortly after I showed up in town. Got it?"

She nodded once more. I grinned overly pleased. I could almost smell the coffee.

*******************************************************************

Just to be sure, I feel I should do this again.

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO ROB A BANK!!!! PURELY IMAGINATION!!!

Millard~

Whitney was grinning. And I was helping her rob a bank. As well as Gloria. My head pretty much hurt.

Whitney nodded at Gloria, who opened the door with her right hand, the left one ecliped with a hammer. The alarms went off, as well as the sound of Gloria's rapid footsteps. Soon, the alarm ceased to exist. "She did it," Whitney grinned.

On the other hand, I felt my face go pale. I was about to rob a bank.

Whitney stuck her head around the corner. "The cost is clear," she smiled, and we took a sharp right to a hallway filled with a series of doors, just like Whitney had said. We ran as quickly and quietly as we could, and I could feel my spirit sinking lower and lower. Whitney entered the code on the farthest door, and it emited a small beeping sound.

"We're in," Whitney said it as if it was a victory, but it felt like nothing like a victory to me.

Millard, I told myself. Help rob this bank quickly and quietly and you won't get caught. The worst thing Whitney can make you do is rob a bank, and she seems more interested in coffee.

On that pleasant thought, I slipped behind the doorway after Whitney.

Gloria~

Whitney passed me a hammer while giving me instructions on how to turn off the alarms. Not wanting to be caught by the 'coppers', I'll hurried to complete my task, dreading every second of it. Whitney's directions bounced around in my head, becoming a mixed ball of words. Walking in, I remebered something about the alarm being behind a painting oppisite the front door.

Painting. Painting. Painting. I whispered the word while walking down a long hallway, squinting to find my way in the pitch black darkness that surrounded me. I slowed down, how long exactly was this hallway? Did I pass the door? Distracted by my thoughts, I didn't notice the wall right in front of me until I walked into it. Surprised, I fell back, landing hard on the floor. Ouch!

To my right, a door stood, tall and looming. This must be the door that Whitney was talking about. I reached out and twisted the knob to the left. It was unlock. I walked in and immediately turned to my right. There it was, a gorgeous painting of galloping horses moving freely in the flowered meadow. The painting brought back memories, memories of the good times before my dad had died. I gazed at the painting until I remembered what I was here for.

Gingerly lifting the picture off the nail that held the painting in place, I set it on the ground. Under the painting there was a rectangular shaped cubby in the wall. The alarm was sitting in there, just three feet away from me. The high pitched noise hurt my ears. Raising the hammer above my head, I hesitated. Did I really want to do this? No, I didn't, but it must be done. Closing my eyes, I brought down the hammer with all my strength. The siren ceased. Sighing, I replaced the painting on the wall and hurried towards Whitney and Millard.

I like how this story is turning out! Of course, I would never ever rob a bank, but it is fun to use your imagination!

I know! I love where this has gone too! I wouldn't ever rob a bank either, but I'm convinced that this is my way of expressing my inner Whitney/psychotic bank robber that has been building up for years!

Whitney ~

Gloria quickly joined us as we stepped through doorway into a large room, similar to an office. In the back was a wall made purely out of metal, with a large, heavy door securely shut.

"What?!" I shouted. "I had the password, how am I supposed to get past that thing?"

"You didn't know about this?" Gloria asked in surprise.

"No," I answered simply. "Though I shoulda. How I didn't is beyond me. Well, I guess we'll just have to finish this off the old fashioned way, though I was kinda trying to avoid this. Wait here." I ran back to the car, and threw open the trunk's door. I grabbed a canvas bag, then ran back in.

"What's that?" Millard. I flashed him a purely phsycotic grin.

"This," I said, waving a stick in front of him, "is our ticket inside!"

Both Millard and Gloria paled. Significantly. "You're not..." Millard started.

"Yes, now both of you duck outside the door." They did as I told them. "This is certainly the more fun way," I said, sticking the dynamite all around the door. "It just attracks more attention. But the police already know we're here. They're just lazy getting outa bed... There. Ready?" I hollered over my shoulder. I took a match and lit one of the fuses. It sparked and started traveling rapidly down the wick. I ran to the door, shutting it behind me. A massive explosion shook the whole building, causing several pieces of drywall to fall to the floor, covering us in dust. After coughing most of the dust out of our lungs, I cautiously pushed the door open.

"Well, that worked!"

Okay, I know. Totally unrealistic (like this whole thing is ;) but I just couldnt' resist! I LOVE explosions! I watch too much Top Gear.

*evil little lightbulb* Plus, I had thought of a way to turn this WHOLE thing around and upside down, but I won't! *evil look while laughing manically*
