Which of the following books would you read if you happened to see these titles on the shelf of your local bookstore?
The Sound of One Hand Clapping
Changing History
My Life of Dreams
Forever Branded
Journey to the Edge of the World
Song of the Shadow
I made tiny little synopsises for each of these and want to know which sounds most interesting, based on the title.

Song of the Shadow. Or Journey to the Edge of the World.

@Gollum:
I know they're melodramatic. I'm melodramatic. It's my "fatal flaw." Believe me, I sometimes want to beat myself up because of my melodrama. I once had a dream that could turn into a romance novel. I once wrote a short story that made me blush every time I read it, it was so drenched in drama and romance. That's me. Sorry. :)
I'm glad you like The Sound of One Hand Clapping, though. I think that's the one I'll be working on the most.

I am looking forward to reading it in the far distant future of your writing career.

@L:
I like how Six Feet Under sounds. The other ones...not so much.
(June 18, 2012 - 8:50 pm)
Well, this is kinda how they're all turning out.
Drive to Peru: Basically, what would happen if you got in your car, just to go somewhere, and when you got there, you just... kept on driving? Not like "oh, I'm going here" driving, more like "When I get to an intersection, I'm going to keep driving straight". I'm not entirely sure who the protagonist is going to be, but they will randomly end up in Peru at one point.
Six Feet Under: A girl who thinks she's dead. A bit morbid, but you work with what your past self gave you.
How to Hide Under a Desk and Other Disaster Survival Techniques: Paranoid People Alert!!! It is about a conspiracy theorist who unexpectedly has his conspiracy theories confirmed, but I'm not sure how that's going to turn out. I just really liked the title.

All of them.

@ Sakura:
Thanks, I'm glad you like all of them!

Here are two more I just thought of now for the heck of it:
Caution to the Wind
Atlantis Rising
What you tink???
(June 23, 2012 - 7:28 pm)
Oooh! Caution to the Wind sounds like it would be one of those "I'm a runaway! An nobody gonna stop me!" books (I love those, but I know I read WAY too many of those.)
Atlantis Rising sounds... I don't know. Like a shameless rip-off of some moderately famous books: The Atlantis Complex and Scorpia Rising (both very good books).
(June 24, 2012 - 4:13 pm)
Here are yet even more:
Rowan
The View from a Two-Hundred Year Old Oak Tree
Goddess of the Hunt
Hail Caesar
I don't know why I keep doing this; I don't even have ideas for all these random titles but it's fun to see what you CBers think.
(June 24, 2012 - 7:21 pm)
Rowan sounds Elvish and I like elves. ;) I like Goddess of the Hunt too. It sounds sort of Greek Mythology-ish. :D
(June 25, 2012 - 9:43 am)
Hail Caesar is perfect as it is.
Goddess of the Hunt could be changed into something else, using the original as a springboard. Example: Alayna, Goddess of the Hunt (almost)
Maybe it could be some demi-god in training book.

Here are even more:
Silence
Delta
The Eyes That Saw a Hundred Years
The Year of Lies
(June 26, 2012 - 8:46 pm)
Silence. For some reason that sounds like a really interesting title. And The Eyes That Say a Hundred Years sounds interesting, although I'm not sure if I'd read the book. :)
(June 27, 2012 - 10:24 am)
They're all really good ideas! Just make sure they don't get too long. Long book titles sound weird.
