Which of the following books would you read if you happened to see these titles on the shelf of your local bookstore?
The Sound of One Hand Clapping
Changing History
My Life of Dreams
Forever Branded
Journey to the Edge of the World
Song of the Shadow
I made tiny little synopsises for each of these and want to know which sounds most interesting, based on the title.

Definitely the first, none of the others.

Maybe first, definetly none of the others. CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM ALLERT! All of them sound kind of melodramatic. I have experience. Read the back of American Chica in the worst voice you possibly can and you will immediately be enlightened on whether something is melodramatic.

Sing of the Shadow and Forever Branded sound cool! I'd read those! :D

First and third. The others sound a little hashed.

All of them except for the second-to-last one. It sounds trite.

If I walked into a bookstore/library and saw those titles, I would pick out My Life of Dreams, Journey to the Edge of the World, and Song of the Shadows (if it was fantasy...)

Song of the Shadow and Forever Branded sound interesting.

I read anything I get my hands on, but My Life of Dreams, Forever Branded, and Song of the Shadow sound the most interesting.

I will be in Quebec in 21 hours from now.
I would read the Sound of One Hand and Forever Branded. Maybe Song of the Shadow if it isn't one of those generic fantasy stories. :)

Yeah the song of the shadow, Forever branded and My life of dreams sound pretty good, but i normally look at the cover, blurb on the back and if it passes those the first couple of pages.

One, Three, and Six.
What about these? The way I write, I come up with titles that sound catchy, then build a story around them.
Drive to Peru
Six Feet Under
How to Hide Under a Desk and Other Disaster Survival Techniques
I've got a lot more, but these are the ones that actually have something semi-formed around them.

Six feet under sounds interesting.
I usually write the story first, then come up with a title. So far, only two of my stories have actually gotten to the point where they got a title.

The first three stories are pretty much the only ones I'm really working on: the first about a girl who's a wonderful riddle solver with a massive subplot about a rebellion, the second about a girl wanting to go back and time to try to save the RMS Titanic from sinking and the last about a girl's real "normal" life and her parallel "imaginary" person: a.k.a. Everinne. :) The fourth is a sort of YA/adult novel that I might work on later on once I think of a suitably horrible, grown-up plot. The only thing I got were the names of the two main characters. The last title will be a poem and the second-to-last...I shall ditch, since not many seem to like.
