For the question what is bread in Latin, the answers pane and panem and panis are all pretty much correct. Pane is the ablative case, panem is the accusative case and panis is the nominative case. And Mattie (You're probably not on here anymore), sorry to contradict you, but panis is masculine. At least that is what my Latin book says.
