Yeah... so I'm
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
Yeah... so I'm
Yeah... so I'm at college right now. ^_^ And it is awesome. But so hot, it's ninety degrees out right now, so... blech on that. Um... Classes start on Monday, and I'm absurdly excited for that... My roommate is awesome and coed bathrooms are not as big an "issue" as mother/Aunt Suzanne/Everyone made them out to be... And my advisor seems pretty chill, so that's good.
Um... yeah, I think that's everything important.
I was just thinking about you, TNO, and wondering when you were going. I'm sorry the Midwest is so hot! It's supposed to cool off by Sunday. Days are getting shorter, so that will help, too. Enjoy these first few days getting to know the campus and new friends, etc. Next week your classes will be priority! Do let us know how it's going from time to time!
Best wishes,

Cornell's on the block plan, so I will have one midterm approximately every three weeks. And one final approximately two weeks after every midterm. It is weird, I know.
re: auditions: no callback for Inishmaan either. As far as freshman parts go, I know at least five freshman were called back for one play or another, but whatevs. This was my first "real" audition so it was more of a learning experience for me rather than an actual matter of wanting a part (plus, there were a grand total of eight slots for both plays-- pretty stiff competition). Now, Company, on the other hand, I am going to be super emotionally invested in and probably a wreck if I don't get in.
Also, signing up for tech tomorrow yay!
Oh, I think tech would be fun! I've never heard of the block plan. Thanks for explaining it.

Agreed. I'm waiting for auditions to happen.

Good luck at school! Hope you don't get caught in the path of a tornado out there in Iowa...

Good luck!
Welcome to the Midwest!! Now that you've had a taste of the heat, get ready for the snow... and the sleet...and the wind... and the storms... and the crazy people... and the corn... and more corn... and more corn....
And soybeans!

Funny story about the wind: While we were visiting Cornell last spring, it was... breezy (I thought). So I asked our tour guide if it was always this breezy here, or if it was just a thing, and he looked at me like I was insane. ...And then I found out later that there were tornado warnings that day. >_>
I'm kind of excited for the snow and the sleet and the storms and the crazy people though. And the corn, though I'm not a big fan of corn myself. Or soybeans.

Well, not everybody's crazy. Just me, really.
