Yeah... so I'm
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
Yeah... so I'm
Yeah... so I'm at college right now. ^_^ And it is awesome. But so hot, it's ninety degrees out right now, so... blech on that. Um... Classes start on Monday, and I'm absurdly excited for that... My roommate is awesome and coed bathrooms are not as big an "issue" as mother/Aunt Suzanne/Everyone made them out to be... And my advisor seems pretty chill, so that's good.
Um... yeah, I think that's everything important.
I was just thinking about you, TNO, and wondering when you were going. I'm sorry the Midwest is so hot! It's supposed to cool off by Sunday. Days are getting shorter, so that will help, too. Enjoy these first few days getting to know the campus and new friends, etc. Next week your classes will be priority! Do let us know how it's going from time to time!
Best wishes,

Awwww, you are sooo lucky. I wish I was at college. I can't wait. Only four more years. I plan to go to the Oberlin Conservatory. Be sure to keep us posted on how Cornell is!!! (Aren't you going to Cornell? Lucky you...)

Have fun, TNÖ! We'll all be thinking of you. :)
(September 1, 2011 - 8:20 am)
Cool! What are you majoring in?
(September 1, 2011 - 4:16 pm)
It's still a while until I go to college, but when I do I think I want to go in Wyoming.
(September 1, 2011 - 5:57 pm)
Oh cool. UW, or Casper College?
(September 2, 2011 - 8:40 am)
I'm thinking Wyoming Catholic college. We know one of the professors.
And yes, I'm Catholic (duh, why else would I go to a Catholic college?).
(September 3, 2011 - 10:48 am)
Well, I go to a Catholic school, and I'm not really Catholic. I really have no idea which college I want to go to....
EEK!!! If you rearange the letters in what Spammy's saying, you get a swearword!!!

WCC is a good place, or so I'm told. I didn't apply there, 'cause I didn't want to go to school in Wyoming, but I've heard good things.

Wow, you're old. ;) The oldest person here, I think. Hope it goes well!

...auditioning for two plays tomorrow. I'm terrified out of my wits.
This is my monologue:
Perpetual imprisonment?! Am I not then to be set free?! Light your fire! Do you think I dread it as much as the life of a rat in a hole?
My voices were right! They told me you were fools, and that I was not to listen to your fine words nor trust your charity.
You promised me my life, but you lied! You think that life is nothing but not being stone dead. It is not the bread and water that I fear; I can live on bread-- when have I asked for more? It is not hardship to drink water, if the water be clean. Bread has no sorrow for me, and water no affliction.
But... to shut me from the light of the sky, and the sight of the fields and flowers? To chain my feet so that I can never again ride with the soldiers nor climb the hills? To make me breathe foul, damp darkness and to keep me from everything that brings me back to the love of God? All this is worse than the furnace in the Bible that was heated seven times!
I could do without my warhorse. I could drag about in a skirt! I could let the banners and the trumpets and the knights and soldiers pass me and leave me behind! If only I could still hear the wind in the trees, the larks in the sunshine, and the blessed church bells that send my angel voices floating to me in the wind.
But without these things? I cannot live, and by your wanting to take them away from me, or from any living creature, I know that your counsel is of the devil, and that mine is of God.
His ways are not your ways. He wills that I go through the fire to His bosom, for I am His child, and you are not fit that I should live among you.
That is my last word to you.
((Saint Joan, Bernard Shaw))

Good luck, TNO, and let us know how it goes. Is the audtion selection your choice? Or was it assigned?

No callback for the first one, no word from the other director...
Taking my midterm tomorrow, too.
re: Audition choice: I chose it.
Midterm tomorrow? I thought you just got there. Keep auditioning when you get the chance. I think it's usually really hard for freshmen to get parts. Upperclassmen get more chances. It will get easier for you.
