Chatterbox: Down to Earth
Hey everybuggy!!!!! I&#
Hey everybuggy!!!!! I'm so so sorry I've been such a slacker this summer. I've found myself to be so much busier this year, and I know that's not fair, since a lot of you do a lot more stuff than I do, but for me, it's been taking all my energy.
Anyway! I came on to ask forgiveness, and say: I SIGNED UP FOR NANOWRIMO!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so so so so SOOOO excited!!!!!!!!!
Ten points to anyone who finds me and becomes a NaNo friend/buddy/whatever you call it!!! :D
So anyway, a brief update:
So, as you all might remember, I was in Fiddler on the Roof Jr, which was amazing, but extremely stressful, and I actually had to go home one day because of an emotional meltdown.... But I got over it, even though I lost five pounds that month, and I finished, and the play was beautiful!!!!!
Then my singing teacher starred in Annie as Grace, and for almost three months, I have not had singing, until yesterday!!! YAY!!!!! Now I'm back to my normal life!!!! Finally!!!!!!
Then in September, I signed up for the Windsor/Healdsburg Community Choir!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! And so once a week we all get together and sing our hearts out. :D
And then the worst happened. I started reading the Chrestomanci books. dun dun duuunnnnn! Yup, when you read DWJ, there is NO WAY you're going on an online forum. Sorry, s'true. It takes too much time!!!!! You gotta get back to the stories!!!!!!!
So, as you can see, I've been busy.
Life is now getting back to normal, and I think I might be able to remind myself to come on here once in a while. I'm so sorry!!!!
(Z.A.R. says kvap, which sounds familiar.... like a Yiddish word I heard somewhere.....)
Hi, Laura. We're happy to hear from you again. I think Fiddler on the Roof is my favorite musical of all time. It has so many wonderful songs, and both funny and very sad parts.

Aw, thank you Admin!! I've missed you all a lot!
Yes, when I first saw it, I was really little, and bored out of my mind, but now I realized how silly I was! It's beautiful!!!! And also, I got to really understand how they felt, because I had to act like it so much, I started to actually feel like I was in Anatevka! It was really amazing. Then when I saw the movie, I actually cried a little, which is pretty rare for me. :) Now it's one of my top favorite musicals too!!! I borrowed it from my cousins... (in JUNE!!! And I've still managed to keep it!!! *wicked snicker*)
Anyway! Thanks! I'm so happy to be back! :)
Teyev has so many great lines. I love the way he talks to God. And when the daughter says, "Papa, God alone knows when we will see each other again," and Teyev replies, "Then we'll leave it in his hands," I bawl--every time I hear those lines. Even as I'm typing them now.

Yes, me too!!!! And I love that I'm able to recite the words now without even looking because I heard them everyday for three weeks!!! It was really neat in the movie to predict what people were going to say! :) I cried a lot when Hodel got on the train. I'm even getting a little sniffly now too... You and me... :D
I wish that we could have had a video of it, I would put it on youtube and show you, but a) there's the problem of no links, and b) we weren't allowed to film it!!!!!!!!! Of course, a lot of people did anyway with hidden cameras, including my aunt, using my camera, only, she seemed to have only been filming my cousin!!! So I'm not even in the scenes unless she is too. And usually then it's only a piece of me. But oh well, it's nice to at least have the memories. :)

Top, s'il vous plaît!!!!

Top?
(October 7, 2010 - 8:32 pm)
Ok, so I have a question:
Is this drawing (by Claire A, age 14, San Jose, Ca), and this took me a bit to narrow down, of House of Many Ways?? I thought at first that it was from Howl's Moving Castle, but I couldn't figure out who the little boy would be, or why there was a case full of papers, THEN I realized, duh! That's the suitcase full of directions in Great Uncle William's house!!!!! YAY!!! And the little boy then is Whippersnapper, aka, Morgan. Am I right???????? *hops up and down with impatience* :)
(Z.A.R. says: arnn, which makes me think of Arwen from LotR)
You're exactly right, Laura. Good for you! Claire's art was inspired by House of Many Ways by Diana Wynne Jones. We're so sorry that the way out Web site is set up, we can't post labels or captions for Cricket League art to tell you what people said about their art. BUT it makes it fun to try to guess what each one was inspired by.

Haha, yah, definitely!!! I was very proud of myself for getting that. I mean, out of all the books in the world.... :D
So, I don't mind. I think it's a lot of fun. :)

Ok! I'm off to read a book. Bye!
(Z.A.R. says: thwe, which means, the hat with elephants. It's a proverb. It's very meaningful. If you can figure out the meaning... HAHAHAHA!!!!!) *sorry*

Round three. Okay right. When I press submit my wifi keeps disconnecting. See how much trouble I'm going through just to say hi to you, Laura? :)
I'm glad you had an awesome time during Fiddler. I've seen the movie and I've (partly, long story) watched it on stage. My sister loves theater - she just finished playing Snow White in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and she's going to audition for Beauty and the Beast soon (Disney princess mood, I think) - but I don't like attention that much... or people staring at me. :)
I haven't been coming on here much lately, either, s'okay. I've had cross-country EVERY day and a LOT of babysitting jobs. And of course school work and chores and such. I've never been so thankful for weekends! (RELAX! No xcountry!) Now, let's hope this works this time and I don't have to type this whole thing out a fourth time...
(October 9, 2010 - 6:40 pm)
Haha, I'm glad it worked!!
And I'm glad you didn't give up. Hi!!! *waves a little obnoxiously*
Yah, me too!!! That's awesome that your sister played the lead!! Congrats to her!
I know... I'm shy too, but I had a very small part, so it was ok. Most of what I did was ensemble. :)
Hahaha, yes, weekends = happy people. I think it's a Universal agreement. :D :D :D

It worked!!! Yay, glad you're back Laura! :D

Ha, well, you know more about it than I do, I'm sure. :) Is that the word for complain? Or is that something entirely different....
