National Chatterbox Day!
National Chatterbox Day! :) OK, I know this is late, but on CJ's thread titled Lightbulb some buggies were making up holidays just for CB; Christmas in July, Harry Potter Day, etc. National Chatterbox Day was supposed to be on August 12th, but I totally forgot! :p Soo, let's have it today-September 1st! :) Let me think...Chatterbox is now.....2 years old? Am I right Admin? If so wow, it feels like it's been around a lot longer than that! :D I was thinking, maybe everybuggy could say some of their favorite CB memories. I'll start! Hmmm....this will be hard! ;) Well, one of my favorite memories is the first day I ever went on CB-the day that it opened. I met Paige P., Emily L., Allison P., Willa, Horselover, Maggie S., Julia, Hannah, Maddy, Hanna Q., Bellatrix, TNO, Laura, Brynne, Zoe, Grace, Mary Jo, Bekah P., Emma H., Elena B., Cara, Meadow, Pirocks, Leaf, Koffee, Lena, and so many other buggies.....lots of them don't post on here anymore. I love going back to old threads and digging up some from '08 and '09. So many awesome memories! Another one of my favorite memories is from just a couple of months ago. Last year I barely posted on CB at all......I was busy, I decided I didn't have time to post.....well, a couplt of months ago, I came back and made a thread saying that I was back. I was a bit worried-I had left without saying anything, which made me feel badly. Would anyone even remember me? Would they be mad? Well, I had no need to worry! Everybuggy was so amazing and friendly, and even the buggies who didn't know me yet were so very nice! Along with my old amazing buggies, I've met CJ, R~D~, Ima, Vida, Rachel M., Claire E., Cherry, ZNZ, and loads of others! All of you buggies, old and new, are some of my greatest friends. :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
Happy National Chatterbox day! Yes, 2 years is about right. Yay!

Oh, I forgot to tell you! Yes, we did; it was really awesome! :) We toured his house, (not the house he grew up in, the house he and his family lived in) walked his neighborhood, went to his tomb, (we made sure to rub the nose on his statue for good luck ;)) and we even got a picture with "Lincoln"! The man walking around dressed up like him did look a lot like him though! ;) Thanks for telling me about it, we had a really great time!
Oh, I'm so glad you got there. The museum is awesome, but my very favorite spot--the most moving for me--is his tomb. To think that he's buried in the midst of the city's public cemetery is so fitting for this champion of civil rights.

Yes, his tomb was really moving. I really liked that his wife and sons were buried in the tomb too. :)

I'm the only Admin on till Tuesday . . . and I may be having some work done on my computer sometime this weekend, so even I may disappear for a while . . . so I'm trying to keep up as best I can while I can. In between pulling weeds in the garden on a beautiful, cool day.! So posting may slow down, but maybe not!

I will honestly remember Chatterbox for the rest of my life; I'm not just saying that either. It has made quite an impact on me. As long as I live, you will forever be on my mind, oh Chatterbox!

Yay for the Chatterbox and Its National Day! I'm very, very glad that it exists; I don't know what I'd do without it. Well, yes I do. I'd be lonely and extremely bored, and I'd have never been to do all of the things I'm about to describe! Anyway. I love it here. Everyone is very kind and friendly, and the only way we can communicate is with words, which simplifies everything (RL is confusing...), and I actually have things to talk about (I don't generally share enough interests with many people to have much to say to them... That can be annoying.), and I feel more comfortable here than in most places. And I've here been introduced to all sorts of things I would ordinarily never have heard of, like WriMos. And thanks for mentioning me, Kimberly! And, erm... memories? I'm not sure I could choose a favorite. I have so many! As for the day I first came here... I'm looking back and laughing. I had no idea it would grow into something I loved so much; I thought it was kind of fun, but I didn't realize it was so amazing! And now I've been here for a year and four or five months, and I can't imagine ever quitting. I mean, I have friends here! Much closer ones than any in RL, and certainly more. I am extremely grateful to whoever came up with the idea for this, and to the admins for, well, everything, and to everyone who's ever posted, because, well, what would this place be if it was empty? *is overusing the word 'well' in absence of anything better to say* So, um, yeah. Happy belated CB Day!
