It was a year ago that I went, and we were in more than one city (not helped by the fact that we drove to Missouri immediately after leaving Illinois), and I don't really remember what happened in which city (or even which state), so I don't really remember much of what we did there. I think, though, that that was where we went first. That means I was at the airport, and then I went to a family reunion, then a barn (my ancestors one lived there, and carved their initials into the wall—when they lived there, of course, not after selling it to whoever had it before the person who has it now—and the entire family was somehow allowed in), than a hotel. Then we left, so unless you were on vacation just before me and came to my airport, or went to a family reunion (in which case you'd be related to me! Yay! But that's very unlikely, and besides, I don't remember anyone my age, especially not named Meadow), or hosted one in your barn ;), or decided to stay in a hotel in your own town, or saw each other on the street (much more likely than any of the others!), or visited one of the same towns I did, I guess our chances of seeing each other were a bit slim...

@ Ima: That is so cool Ima! Am I spelling your name right? I can't really tell!!

I was born two (2) years before you! I'm 10 so you must be 12 (right?)!!

Have you heard of a little town call Lockhart? It is by Austin and I have lived here since I was 1!

I noticed you live in Texas too? Do you live in Kingsville (I saw what town you live in in one of your posts on a different thread)!!

@ Vida: Yeah! And you spelled it right! And I turn 12 this week, on the 16th. I don't think I've heard of Lockhart (except for in your location box), but that's probably because I never pay attention to place  names, anyway. I could've been there before! In fact, it's likely that we couldhave seen each other sometime over the course of our lives! Right now, Ilive in a place called Kingwood, which is near Houston. I moved there when I was 8, during the spring. I do visit Austin several times yearly, though, because my grandmother lives there.

@ Meadow: Oh, and yes, I think KitKat is from Ireland. Kendra is from somewhere outside the U.S., but I don't know where. And Elizabeth H. is from England, I'm pretty sure.

Vida: Yes, I still live in Canada. :-) And I like your name. (I should have mentioned this earlier) Is it Spanish? I'm part Spanish. (apparently)

Ima: Yes. The Europeans are important too. And the South Americans, Africans, Australians, and Asians (me, but I live in Canada).

It's so cool that your name means life in Spanish! :) I have a friend who lives in IL, and her middle name is Vita, which means life in Latin. :)

Oh, and this was probably just a mistake, but I sort of noticed that when Vida posted her reply to Not Reuired, she said she was talking to me. I wasn't Not Required.

Also, if we're going to make a list of possible foreign locations for the CBers who don't specify their locations, what about Antarctica? A few people live there....

But I agree with everyone that it's great that Vida/Vita means life! It makes sencs, too, since Viva/vive is live... I wonder what Vivian means. *looks it up* Apparently it means alive! In Latin. And could that be related to vivid or vibrant? *looks it up* Yes! And no. Vivid is from the Latin word for live, but vibrant is from the Latin vibrare, which means vibrate. What about vigorous? *looks it up* Maybe... It's confusing, and I'm tired. i think I'll quit, although I love word origins.

*deep breath* Okay. I suppose I might as well tell. I was born on June 2, 1997, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

I guess that could use some explanation, eh? I know I would want some if it were me. My parents are missionaries, they work at a Christian school in Haiti. And they've lived here since before my brother and I were born, meaning that we were both born here and have lived our whole lives here. So, yeah, that's where I am, as you know if you've read my nano page.

@Ima: Another etymology lover! Isn't it fun? In sixth grade we had to write speeches, and I had just recently discovered Dad's Webster's Dictionary of Word Origins, so I wrote about etymology. Friend A. thought it was boring until I gave my speech, which she later admitted to enjoying. :D
