Avatar!!!!  Omg, I

Avatar!!!!  Omg, I went to see it in 3D and it was AAAMMMMAAAZZZIIINNNNGGGG.  I can't get enough of it!!!  :)  Has anyone else seen it?  It took four and a half years to make the movie. Why?  Because as you should know, it's about life on another planet.  Well, they had to make a WHOLE NEW WORLD.  It's like the coolest planet ever!!! :D  XP  Hee Hee!  Anyway, my favorite part is when the main alien girl, (I really can't even try to spell her name!)  sees Jake Sulley as a human.  It is so precious.  Oh no, I'm gonna cry!  :'(  That won't make sense unless you have seen the movie.  Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend that you go and see this movie, in 3D if possible.  IT IS WORTH IT.  HaHa, I'm a little crazy today.  Sorry if this doesn't make sense.  :)  But, it is a movie to cry over.

Why couldn't they have made up the bad guys then? Why'd they have to use the military? I'm positive that there was some intended bashing going on. Oh, and it might be fiction, but that doesn't change the fact that they were bashing the military. Not one bit.

I actually went to a movie theater with some small cousins. We were going to see Princess and the Frog while the parents saw Blindside, but when I got there I realized Avatar was playing in the same theater.

I was slightly ticked because I'd really like to see Avatar. Princess and the Frog was good though.

Ha, I just saw The Princess and The Frog today with smaller cousins!!  (R~D~, it's been raining for two days, and it plans to go on for the rest of the week!  w00t!!!)  I actually liked it, which I was a little surprised about, since I really do hate most disney stuff.  Mainly because in basically every disney movie I've see, the main character is an orphan, has only one parent, or runs away from home.  Or gets separated from their family.  Bleh.  Who wants to watch that?  I mean, I get it, they want the whole, oh poor me!, I have a sad story, thing, but really, almost every movie?  *rolls eyes*  I mean, COME ON!  Ok, I'll stop ranting.  I liked the movie.  They could have skipped some parts, but on the whole, it was better than I thought

When I was at a Spiral Scouts meeting thing yesterday someone was talking about it.  He saw it in 3G, or something.  his wife liked it.  I don't know if they brought their *under eight year old kids* with them or not.  He said that there was stuff being thrown at him like water and other stuff to make it realistic.  I want to see it.  I'm going to convinse my dad to see it with me.  I could never convinse my hatey violence grandma or my mom.  But I think that jason (the person that was talking about it) allready made my dad want to see it.

THAT MOVIE WAS AWESOME!!! I really loved it. I was tearing up behind my 3-D glasses a number of times. I don't think that it used the violence to cover up a weak plot, because the violence was a part of the plot. The end was really cool. At this rate, the producers could make a sequel and become richer than they already are. Also, I loved the part where he goes into his avatar for the first time and he's all happy cause' he can walk.

Thank you, Ann.  :)

I didn't intend for this thread to become a debate.  If you don't like the movie that much, why would you post on here?  It hurts feelings.  I wasn't trying to hurt anyone's, but this thread was to praise the movie.  Not "bash" it.

Did you know that the guy who came up with the movie had it all planed out MANY years ago, but wanted to wait until technology got more advanced. He wanted the faces to have the right emotions in major detail. He decided now that the technology was right, so he made it. (the technology included cameras pointed at the face of the actor to get the perfect face emotions in detail) The person who made it was also really rich, and didn't care if it was liked by anyone or not. He just wanted to fulfill his life long dream of creating this movie.

P.S. If anyone disagrees with anything I said, please say so. I am just quoting what my brother told me. (He probably got his resources from the internet somewhere, so yup, word of mouth can get muddled sometimes.)

*laughs* This sounds like my social studies (blech) class. Well, sort of . . . We have a daily journal question and Tuesday's question was if we thought Avatar was racist. Some people think it is because the basic plot is "natives are being attacked, American man comes in, American man save the natives". Some people think it's racist because it makes the Na'vi look helpless and like they need help from Americans, which can be seen as "Americans are better than everyone else." I, having never seen the film, can't really make a fair judgment about it, but it sounds very good and I really want to see it!!! It sounds really good!
