The CBer Claaws actually largely created Claaws and is actually the one who gave the dragon that name. I think they also might have played Claaws for a while.
As for 'gory,' would you mind specifying what you mean? There's gotta be some evil characters for Kyngom to have a plot, after all. What bits do you find problematic? After all, the Admins aren't too strict about violence. We've still got our ski lodges and roleplays. People die in those. And don't forget, the Admins ran Kyngdom and admitted all of its comments too. We feel that it really wouldn't be right to take away all the hard work the Old Kyngdomers did, but if you could tell us what's bothering you we could make sure not to include it in New Kyngdom. Of course, we can't take out every conflict, there will always be some bloodshed and some characters dying, but we can do our best to meet you in the middle.

The part that makes me uncomfortable includes: a) the Sideaffected Powers, I don't like how they just control people like that, and how I read about it in the backstory it is just too much. b) In the backstory there is just a bunch of relentless killing. First Catastrophe kills the Powers, then after learing Celesti's true identity kills her too, and Claaws, and yeah all of that. Also, I thought that Catastrophe died already. So why are you saying he collaborates with B.I.G. to create some kind of Bleak Peak machine?

Ah. First of all, Catastrophe died at the same time as Claaws, and somehow got sucked into the instrument with Claaws, so when the instrument was played Catastrophe and his son came back to life at the same time as Claaws.
As for the SAPs, it's true that Whist has hypnotism powers. There isn't much we can do about that, because again, it's part of the backstory and also a crucial part of the plot. Without it a lot of the other bits based on it fall apart. Other than that, some of the Powers have been sorta possesed with a special kind of Brazen Goo. But Brazen Goo only affects the Powers, and Whist could be very easily avoidable.
For all the death, it's just part of the story. Kyngdom is kinda a medieval-ish setting, and it's a little bit lawless. Like I've said, we're not willing to change the backstory, and like Poinsettia pointed out, pretending it isn't there won't change it. But Kyngdom is more than just the Powers and Catastrophe. It's a giant world where you can go anywhere and do anything, and there will be many more threads that don't have violence than do. Also, when you make an RP thread you can ask people not to involve fighting on it (you probably shouldn't do that on an RP thread somebody else made because that might be seen as rude, but you could do it on your own).
Also, I like the idea about another instrument! All of the current Powers have been activated, but we're thinking of making more, and if we did that could be one of them.
And the character Sachiko sounds interesting! I think Kyngdom is in a different world than Earth, so Japan probably wouldn't be on the same planet, but maybe they accidentally fall through a portal or something and get sucked through to Kyngdom or something like that. I've actually got an idea for a character with a similar backstory, who came from a different dimension. Also, remember that you can have more than one character! Some of the Old Kyngdomers had over 20. Having a lot of characters is crucial to the story.

I still like the BIG letters, maybe this time they want to activate another instrument that they have found, and they need more scientists from Cypher Labs because most of the others have betrayed them. I think my character could be named Sachiko, who moved to Kyngdom from Japan.

I don't think that erasing all of Kyngdom's backstory would do, because it would be disrespectful to the old CBers who worked on it - and also, just pretending that it's not there won't make it go away. But, because of our timeskip and the new directions the story is likely to take, you won't have to focus on it too much if it makes you uncomfortable :)
I'm planning to make a new RP thread where we can all get our bearings... what do you think about making one that focuses on the Nobyls?

Ah I like that RP idea. I think my first character will be a cook's helped maid for the Nobyls. I still don't know what I'll name her.

Also, here's a few notes:
- If you don't want to help plan the reboot, you don't have to! We just need people willing to join once it's started.
- If you're confused about how the Kyngdom website works, try reading page 2 of the kyngdom academy. It's got a helpful explanation to how it works!
- I think we can start developing characters and make a few RP threads, but before we go very far we need to agree on what happened during the last 10 years. Once we've decided on that, we could ask the admins to post it on the home page (the same place as the Who's here? thread and the Kyngdom Live Chat thread).
- We should start brainstorming ideas for the last 10 years.

Maybe in the last ten years, the powers of Wing and Howl created a new power, the power of Nature, the Pegasus Bamfiha. Catastrophe destroyed Bamfiha, and she too became an instrument. But this instrument is the most special of all; When it is played, Bamfiha emerges so quickly she sucks out all the air in the area immediately before touching down back to the forest of Kyngdom, her home. The instrument is also so big it could contain all of the other instruments.
Also, should I fill out my character form now?

Well, there's a few rules to Powers.
One is that it has to be an attribute that the animal power can have. So, for example, Caelani, the Power of Wing, has wings, and Sylvia, the Power of Hoof, has hooves. Another thing is that we don't want to have any of the Powers be more powerful than the others. A third is that I dunno if the Powers would be able to create new Powers. It's possible that Caelani and Lunee could make a new Power but it would most likely be an SAP.
So I like the idea of Bamfiha, and we are discussing adding new powers, but we aren't sure if we will add new Powers, and if we do the character of Bamfiha might need a little modification.

Oh also I think we can still use Charlie W. Because even back then, he was an NPC. Maybe Bamfiha is still a Pegasus, but she is the power of Combined Animal Traits. Or the power of HoofWing, so maybe Caelani and Sylvia created a good SAP? Or maybe we could have a human-Monkey shapeshifter that can disguise as a golden lion tamarin and is the Power of Animal Wisdom. It could be contained inside a violin or a cello. Honestly I first imagined the instruments containing the powers as a wooden flute with engravings. Also since Lunee has no SAPs she couldn’t create an SAP with Caelani. Though I do want something with Lunee. She is my charrie Sachiko’s mentor.

Right now it isn't looking like we're gonna create any new powers... If you see Poinsettia's comment, it points out that "no more Powers" was a pretty big rule. Plus, like Zealatom said, it will just make things way more confusing.

I agree with Scuttles. Before we get too far into this we need to figure out what has happened in the last 10 years. I like Scuttles' and Poinsettia's ideas of having the Resistance withdraw while BIG and Catastrophe grow in power. It would be handy if Jaaws disappeared, just for a short while though (because Jaaws is an important part of Kyngdom and the plot), and while Jaaws is gone the Powers that she's been controlling via the special Brazen Goo get freed.
We still need to figure out what the Powers are doing with Catastrophe and the Resistance, whether they are allying with one side or the other (if they took sides, it would probably be with the Resistance, 'cause I've always gotten the sense that the Power are good), and we need to make sure to involve them in whatever is happening. Now that I think about it, I do like the idea of some of the Powers maybe taking sides? It would help us tie them into the current thing with Catastrophe vs the Resistance. Also, since it looks like the Powers will be NPCs (Non-Player Characters, meaning nobody plays them, we control their motions through their interactions with Player Characters. This would be out of respect for the Old Kyndomers who created them and so that nobody has an unfair influence on the story), it'll mean that they are interacting with our characters, which will make it easier to help them be active.
I've also heard a little discussion about more Powers. I think this is an interesting idea but first we need to agree on the basics of what happened during the last ten years. It's possible that during the Resistance's withdrawal, if that is what we decide on, they've focused on researching the Powers and maybe found new ones. If so, we need to agree on what those are and whether they'd be NPCs or played by somebody. My vote would be NPCs.

Nah, just kidding. I've been tagging this thread for the past few days to see where we get to. Of course, we need to figure out what happens during the timeskip first.
On pitching in ideas...
1. I would think Catastrophe would have finished his machine by now.
But that would introduce the rather awkward matter of him feverishly building a strange portal-opener for the length of an entire decade, so I was thinking some type of unexpected infiltration or sabotage that set him back for a couple of years, how's that? I do have some character ideas that would accomplish that role nicely.
2. We do need urgently to settle on A) MORE POWERS! or B) NO MORE POWERS UNTIL THE EXISTING ONES HAVE PLAYED THEIR PART! because hurling mixed messages around while brainstorming, though helpful, is not that friendly for people trying to enter Kyngdom. It gets confusing, and being confusing and somewhat intimidating with its 10000+words of history was why Kyngdom died in the first place.
I'm not going to add any more on this (I really don't mean to stand against extra powers or anything, seriously), but I do suggest we follow B for a while and then consider A when things have gotten rolling and we have everything under order.
3. The second bullet wasn't a plot idea, now that I look at it. Whoops...
Everything has been brewing for a decade now, and perhaps one side (like FAFA) or some alliances could have made a discovery on I dunno, the orgins of Kyngdom, or some type of prophecy about the future which took quite a long time for them(whoever 'they' are)to analyze and decipher. The resulting game-changing information from their studies causes the temporary 'peace' between everyone to crack once more, and brings Kyngdom into a new conflict, one with new settings that we can create, resulting in-TADA! New RPs. Is that good?
4. I'm not very sure what to add here, that was everything I have right now...
