Hi Amethyst and Poinsettia, here is our make a friend group! Any creative endevours occupying your spare time at the moment? I discovered conlang calligraphy script a few days ago and it's gorgeous! I reeally want to make my own! What kinds of books do you like? I'm excited to get to know you both!

My family also has the rule that sevens don't count in the first round of Settlers of Catan! And I would also like to find out what personality types my family are, but how do you tell? I've heard of introverted/extroverted feeling and I think I'm more of an extroverted feeler, but I have some characteristics of both just like with the personality types.
I don't like heavy metal/rock either; I don't think I've ever listened to it if I could help it. I don't really like country, but it could be just the modern country like you said, so I'll try listening to some if you have recommendations! I do like Spanish music too, but I'm not quite at a point where I can understand it all yet :)
Do you have any summer vacation plans? I'm going to the Pacific Ocean in a few weeks! I'm so excited because I've never been to an ocean before! We also go to a lake every summer for a week, and we visit my family in Canada. I hope you both have good summer holidays! I'm going to be off the CB for a few months starting next week, and have a mostly computer-free summer break, but would you like to keep doing this thread when I get back? We can keep topping it or start a new one if you would like, to eliminate the pain and strain of continual topping!
Also, thank you for the medal; I will now award you the Olympic All-Time Nice Person Award :D

Aw, thanks so much :) I would definitely say that you're an Olympic All-Time Nice Person too, and I've enjoyed this entire chat thread so much. We should definitely continue it when you come back to the CB :) (heeeeeelp not another emoji!!!!!!! Never mind) Probably we should just start another thread then, as it would probably take entire pages of tops to keep it on the first page of DtE for the entire summer.
We still don't start summer vacation for about a month *sighs and shakes head*, so we don't have any particular plans - probably, because of the pandemic, we'll be staying home and enjoying our baby rabbits (wild baby rabbits). I hope you have a lovely time in the Pacific/next to lakes/in Canada! A computer-free summer seems like the wisest move, so that you can enjoy yourself... I'll probably not be on the CB so much either (another reason why the topping might not really work).
Oh yes, I certainly have some country music reccommendations! There's:
~Tennessee Flat Top Box, by Rosanne Cash - very bouncy and happy
~The Lucky One, by Alison Krauss - also very happy and fun to listen to
~It All Comes Down to You, by Union Station - an exciting sound, if you understand what that means, and a lovely rhythm
~and I'd better stop there or I'll go on forever.
Oh, and there's one other thing! I'm not sure if you still get Cricket, but a bit that you had written on this thread got into the Letterbox: "I like watching some horses a few blocks away from my house and I've named them all, too. They're all mares and foals, and the foals are so cute! --Flamarestii, Down to Earth" I thought I'd let you know :)

I love playing Catan! It's so intriguing and absorbing, and all the different variations are really fun - I especially like the one where there are fish as well as all the other resources, and the one where you use cards instead of dice.
Personality types are really fascinating! I'm the same as you, I'm pretty sure everyone has a mix of different characteristics from several types (although some people probably have that more than others, I guess). I think I'm probably an ENTJ, although I don't identify with everything about that type... and I'm pretty sure I introvert feeling, because it's often hard for others to tell what I'm really feeling about something (which was slightly surprising to find out!)
I do have some country music recs, but I see Amethyst already shared some, so I'll just mention a few - "Find My Way Back To My Heart," by Alison Krauss (more like a song in a movie than anything faintly resembling typical country) and "Coat of Many Colors" by Dolly Parton. I hope you like them! Do you have any favorite songs, country or otherwise?
Wow, you're so lucky that you're going to have summer vacation already! Ours doesn't start until mid-June, sadly. I think we don't have any plans yet - we're probably just going to have fun around here with the parks and wilderness areas and libraries and so on :) Your plans sound wonderful! It's great that you're going to be able to have a computer-free vacation; I should probably try to do something similar. Anyway, I hope you have an amazing vacation, and I'll be looking forward to seeing you when you get back! (And yes, I'd love to keep this thread going! Maybe we can start a new thread once you're back.)

Starting a new thread after the summer sounds great! I'll also try listening to some of those country music recommendations from both of you!
