I'm so sorry I didn't make this thread sooner!! Anyhow, to start the discussion... what sort of music do you like? I like Celtic, some country and folk - basically any music that I find inspiring.

Aaaaand, I'm sick again. Ugh. Plus, I'm a bt of a germaphobe, so, that's not fun.
Yes I've seen both Frozens. The second one is much better. Sorry this is so short!

I'm so sorry that you're sick! :( I hope you feel better soon...
Most definitely Frozen II is better. The first Frozen was sort of interesting (a lot better than some Disney movies anyway - I like how it has the exact opposite of the idea of "the handsome prince who comes along and kisses the princess and breaks the spell and they get married right away"). But in my opinion it's basically just Elsa having her little conniption and learning how to control her powers. Frozen II, on the other hand, has a much more complex and interesting plot, better music, and more things that seem to reflect reality - the Northauldra trapped in the Enchanted Forest, for example, could be seen like the Native Americans on thier reservations, while the spirits becoming angry is actually a lot like climate change. That's my opinion, anyway :) What are your favorite parts/songs?
It's fine that your comments are short! My comments are pretty short too, sometimes :/

I like Into the Unknown and All is Found. I think your points on Frozen 2 are quite similar to what I think, if not the same.
What other Disney cartoon movies do you like? I like Pocahontas and Encanto.
(February 26, 2023 - 6:23 pm)
Yes, those two are lovely... I think for myself I really can't pick just one or two favorites. I really like all of them, except for Lost in the Woods, which I consider completely pathetic. Just my opinion, though... :)
Well, I've never watched Encanto or Pocahontas (though I have heard some of the songs from the latter, such as Colors of the Wind, and liked them very much). Of Disney movies I like one called Mulan about a Chinese girl, which I don't believe is very well-known but is quite good in my opinion; also The Aristocats and Ratatouille (did I spell that right? oh well).

I totally agree about Lost in the Woods. I haven't seen the cartoon Mulan, but the live-action movie. Have you seen those live actions? There's one for Beauty and the Beast that's really good too.
(February 28, 2023 - 5:14 pm)
I didn't know they made live-action movies of the cartoons! For Beauty and the Beast I've also just watched the cartoon - it's good, I think, though not one of the best.
Hmm what else can we talk about?

How about we NOT bring this crazy zoodle war into our nice, peaceful thread.
Here are some ideas I have:
We could talk about books (always)
We could collaborate on a writing piece
We could give each other writing prompts and critique
We could talk about art
Thoughts or ideas?

Oh definitely, I am all in favor of forgetting all about the zoodle war while we're on this thread! (especially since we seem to be on opposite sides, hehe)
Nice ideas! Why not all of them? If we go in order, we could go back to the discussion about books...
What are you reading at the moment? I'm reading a book called Beppy Marlowe of Charlestown, by Elizabeth Janet Gray. I've been reading a lot of her stories lately - they're mostly historical fiction, and quite interesting.
(March 1, 2023 - 5:54 pm)
I brought that up because I am currently reading a series that I absolutely can not tear myself away from. The Michael Vey series by Richard Paul Evans. It is soooooo good! I could just talk talk talk about it.
I haven't heard of Elizabeth Janet Gray. It sounds very interesting. I do like historical fiction.
(March 2, 2023 - 9:11 am)
Ooh, what's it about? I've never heard of it.
So do I. Probably historical fiction is about my favorite genre (after fantasy, of course), especially when it's really well-written so that it sounds as if it isn't really about the past at all. I've finished Beppy, and I would definitely recommend it - also Jane Hope, by the same author. They're both set in the United States, though Beppy Marlowe is from earlier - Beppy is a girl who leaves London to live in Charles Town, and has adventures while she decides that she really loves America, while Jane Hope is a girl living in the United States just before the Civil War. They're both quite exciting and fun.

It is about a boy who has electric powers trying to take down an evil organization. Ok, it might not sound too interesting, but it is sooooooo sooooooo good.
That's interesting! I enjoy books about the Holocaust, actually (I'm Jewish). They are very interesting and I do feel some responsability to know those stories. I like Out of Hiding, and Signs Of Survival. I also read the Diary Of Anne Frank.
(March 3, 2023 - 6:15 pm)
Well, you're right that it doesn't sound that thrilling, but I can well imagine that it could be wonderful :) I'll have to look for it.
Ooh, that's interesting! I've never read any books about the Holocaust, though it might be interesting too. The book of The Bronze Bow which I mentioned earlier is actually about a Jewish boy at the time of the Romans - I posted a review of it on Cricket Readers Recommend, if you want to see it.
I've never read Out of Hiding or Signs of Survival, but I have read The Diary of Anne Frank. It's from a while ago, isn't it? I think that so many good books are never read just because they're old, when really they can be much better than most modern books.
What's your favorite color? Or season? For season I really could not decide lol, but for colors I like turqoise, lilac and sea-green.
