Let's see if one person doesn't get two things by accident... Starting, I have heard you!
Landscape at Dawn:
The soft sigh of waves sounded along the beach. Night still lingered in the air, but dawn was starting to flush the sky with the most delicate of hues.
Everything was softly gray, and you could see nothing distinctly. It was slightly chilly. Gray sea spread out in front of you, gray land to the side of you, and soft fragrance hung in the moist air. That was all.
Then suddenly there was greater light in the east, and a few seagulls, wings sparkling, flying in it. Still the sky and sea were gray, but you could see the land a little more clearly. Great cliffs dropped away to the sea, and there were flowers in myriad colors on the cliffs.
The dawn was coming, and the rosy glow on the land and sky was flushing into hazy gold. But the sea still stretched away to the ends of the world, gray and motionless.
Then, between one heartbeat and the next, in a moment that has slipped by as water slips through your fingers, the sun has risen. A great fiery spear of light shoots through the waves, the birds burst into song, and it is morning on the coast of Ireland.
