Some of you may know this game... some of you might not. This is the CB Edition™.

RULES:
- ten CBers may volunteer to play, and one CBer to narrate. Keep in mind the first person who volunteers to be narrator will be the narrator.
- the narrator will choose a Mafia, a Nurse, and a Detective. The Mafia must choose someone to kill, the Nurse will save someone, and the Detective will accuse someone. Everyone will convene to vote someone innocent or guilty. If the Mafia is caught, the people of Nowhere, Nebraska win. If the Mafia kills everyone, the Mafia wins.
- after ten players and one narrator have been chosen, the ten players will then post a character sheet, posted below. For example, I might first post like this:

And then like this:

[insert the rest of the charrie sheet as directed]

Or something like that.
- DO NOT REVEAL YOURSELF, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Everyone will know which CBer is the Mafia, but they won't know which CHARACTER the CBer is RPing as, and therefore, they will not know which character is the Mafia. Likewise for the Nurse and Detective. So if you reveal which charrie is yours, the game is kind of ruined.
- please don't dispute my rules unless they seem unfair. There are millions of versions of Mafia, and to avoid confusion we are just going to use this set.
- be active! If you join this, you need to not drop out immediately- it's characters reactions that will allow people to decide whether one is guilty or innocent.
- if you have any questions, ask them! I'll be happy to answer. You may also ask Sky NightStar or Bakerloo. See footnote.
- you may not narrate twice in a row, unless no one volunteers to narrate next. You may, however, use the same charrie twice in a row if you want to, but this might reveal you to everyone so I advise not doing it.
- in the next game I might shrink or grow the amount of people, this is a test run. I also might make it so that multiple games can go on at the same time.
- if you are the narrator, please remember you are basically running the game: I don't suggest volunteering for this if you've never played Mafia before or if you don't think you'll be able to keep a commitment.

The cheap motel matress is lumpy and the thin blankets itchy, making it near impossible to sleep. Not that I would be able to anyway. I stare up at the cracks in the dirty, low ceiling, recounting the events that led me here, wondering if I should have run like that, and should I go back and face them-and everyone else-or keep fleeing. I can't do this forever. I don't have a job. I'll be out of money soon. Maybe I could go to my parent's house. But I don't want to spend my life like that. I want to finish my degree and get a good job. I don't want my life to be defined by that one moment.
I roll over, trying to get as comfortable as possible, wishing my brain would just shut up for 2 minutes and let me live my life in peace.

Briar has just woken up from a nap and is currently trying to open the window in their motel room. They tried the door first thing that morning, but it was locked from the inside. Then they tried to pick it, but picking locks turned out to be much harder than it looked in movies. They'd spent some time in the middle of the day reading every brochure they could find in the room before falling asleep-- it seemed whatever they'd been drugged with had lingering effects. They started moving as soon as they woke up again. Briar doesn't know what's going on, but they know they're not going to be able to fall asleep again until they figure it out.

I'm sorry to bother, but I was just scrolling through the comments of this and saw that Nite is taking a short hiatus.....does someone have a way to contact them personally? Nite is my partner at the writing+art contest on Pudding's Place, but I understand if like a family emergency came up or something, however,@Lumi if you have a way of contacting Nite, could you let them know that my story is done? Thanks.

@All, specifically Quill and Silver for this round,
I just realized that since everyone can see what everyone else posts, the mafia can see who the nurse saves and vice versa. *facepalm* I should have thought of that XD This is not the best workaround, but it'll have to do, as DMs and PMs are not possible on the CB.
So from now on, if you're the Mafia or Nurse, it's honor system. Please make your decision on who to kill/save BEFORE the next day begins. As in, if I was the Mafia, I'd say to myself next time, I'm going to kill Charrie A, and I wouldn't change it even if it turned out that the Nurse was saving Charrie A. Likewise for the nurse.

Sorella is sitting silently on an old, creaking wooden chair in her dusty motel room. Poppy is asleep at her feet, and Ella is currently trying to sketch her dog onto the back of a napkin with a pencil she found on the floor of the room. The shutters are pulled tightly shut and the room is mostly dark. She gives up trying to perfect her drawing (she was never much of an artist, anyway), and leans back into her chair, closing her eyes. Just a few hours ago, Ella was sure that Nowhere, Nebraska was the right place to lay low, but she had forgotten to take into account how little there was to do. She thinks it might be the most boring place on the planet, but at least she's free to do what she wants. Ella's eyes open when she feels Poppy nudge her foot and bark. Ella rolls her eyes and gets up to take her dog on a walk.

I'm going to assume that Abie is not yet aware that she was accused of being the Mafia.
Abie sits on her bed, drumming her fingernails against the hard, dark wood peeking out from underneath the clean white mattress. She sighs. Rain is pattering against her windowsill, now, and she grabs a book to read. There is really no reason to suspect that anything is up. Everything is perfectly normal, so normal that the normal-ness of it all doesn't even cross her mind. She tucks herself into bed, closes her eyes, and goes to sleep -- a long, deep sleep.

Quincey sits on the floor of their room, back resting against the bed. They stifle a yawn as they turn the page of the textbook, eyes scanning the text. They very much regretted not completing the homework sooner, but they'd been exploring the town all day and hadn't had a moment to sit down. It was so quiet in Nowhere, and now they could hear nothing but their own breathing and the rain.

So, I'll be posting (as the narrator) the way you died/K.Oed (I think I'll be using died, but admins, if you think K.Oing would be better/more appropriate, let me know and I'll switch to that :)) soon. I haven't had time to really sit down and write this weekend, but it'll be out by the end of tomorrow at most. Then you can still post, as the Ghost/Consciousness of Lavender, and when someone else dies, they will be able to talk to you. You can also describe what you were feeling when you died/K.O.ed and who you think it was in those posts. Also, if you are the nurse or detective, make sure you let us know.

I have an idea...
The character posts under the name 'Mafia' 'Nurse' or 'Detective'...
Then we work out a system with the Mafia on how to y'know.
Maybe create a thread on This Month, establish that the Mafia has seen it, then ask the Admi-
Oh.
The Mafia HAS to post either last or second to last.
The Nurse must post before the Mafia.
'Cause if you already know who the Mafia's gonna choose, then the Nurse can easily save them .

Gasp! Ooh! It's - it's the thing - the thing that I did! Adapted for the CB in a loving and clever way! Wow! You're the best, Lumi :,) I'm definitely joining next round! (Shame I can't play as Leland Navarro. He remains one of my absolute favorite OCs to this day.)
