This makes me so mad. I got an
email forward from a good friend :(. It annoys me because they are blaming Muslims for things that Terrorists did! Just because the Terrorists are Muslim doesn't mean that the Muslim faith promotes the Terrorism!! All through history religion has been used wrongly by humans to promote violence, but that is not what God ever wants. And at the end they complain that this is unfair because Christians don't have the same sort of thing with stamps - what about the virgin Mary and baby Jesus on the stamp that I've seen during Christmas season? That is about equal to the Muslim holiday stamp. I'm a devoted Catholic which is why I feel like I have to stand against this - Jesus does not want us to treat other human beings like this. They deserve the same amount of respect that I want for me and my religion. I'm not Muslim, and don't agree with their faith, but this is just not right. Please post if you agree! |

The thing that really disappointed me was not so much the forward factor of it, just that my friends would support it by passing it on. And of course that anyone could be blind enough to write something like that. :S

That's awful. I too am Catholic and don't agree with their faith, but they shouldn't be blamed for stuff other people did!

I agree. Most Muslims aren't bad!! Every religion has some bad people in it, but that doesn't make the religion bad! I'm not Muslim, nor do I have any desire to be, but saying such horrible things about them is wrong! In fact, I'm fairly certain that the Quaran (spelling?) says not to ever kill anyone, so the murderers aren't actually true to their faith at all! Racism is horribly unfair!!

I find it easy to discard any promises or threats made by forwarded emails as rubbish. As for everything else on this thread, no comment. I'm not even reading to the second page. That's because I do beleive Islam is a violent religion by nature. Whoops! I said I wasn't commenting.

Do you even know many things about the Muslim religion? It has many of the same rules as Christianity: Do not murder (so the ones who do are not following their religion properly), give to charity, show compassion, etc. It is not a violent religion. And you won't even see this comment, because you're only reading the first page, but...

I don't know too much about the Muslim religion. I don't think that average American Muslims are violent. Even if they were violent, I don't think that's an excuse for people to treat them in a mean way, is it? (Heehee, love your enemies!)

Wow, I just found this thread while digging through old threads. Snopes actually debunked this email (the stamp part and probably criticized the racism). Snopes rocks!
