Dolphin

We arrive *fashionably late*. Or maybe just late. Oh well! I take the cake pops from Shaow and they runs off to find Abcde. I place the cake pops on the conveniently located table and head off to find someone to talk to. I see Abcde, with PygmyOwl, and she doesn’t seem happy. So I slide over and grin at PygmyOwl. “Do you want to go check out the corn maze?” Abcde flashes me a grateful smile, and I point to the entrance. “I think Shaow is over there.” She walks serenely off. (How the heck does she do that?) and PygmyOwl says... 

»Shaow« 

»Abcde comes over and I immediately trip over my words. “I’m so sorry I couldn’t keep up with the other party, you look beautiful tonight, how’s Rayne and Grace? I’m so sorry-“ I break off. Collect yourself, Shaow! “Ahem. Sorry. How are you?” I reach over and dust her off. It looks like she fell? She smiles at me and half-hugs me. “I’m pretty good. How are you?” I pause, thinking. “Pretty much the same. Do you mind if I hang out with Tomru a little bit tonight? I wish I knew who I was at five.” I grin a little. She says...

---Nightfall---

Nerd says something about staying. “I can’t. I’ve been no use.” I whisper as I disappear completely, hidden partially by the mist. I start down the left path in the fork, then turn to a lovely scene of the sunset. “How beautiful.” I sigh, turning around and restarting.

---Galaxy---

We walk over to the dinner table and get some food. Cameron takes her plate to her own table, lost in her own thoughts. “So, just so you ought to know, don’t go into the haunted house. I snuck in there earlier and sprinkled itching powder all over the floors and totally lost it and sprayed cobwebs everywhere. Ha.” I say to Archer as I take a cookie. 

---Burn---

"*Are you ready?*" Dallas asks. “Oh yeah. Definitely, just watch out. I think I saw Galaxy sneaking over here.” I answer as I push open the door and it makes a creaking noise. I can hear laughter coming from inside. “C’mon!” I yell. 

---[Spellcaster]---

"<Uh, I-I think I like you, too.>" Evan whispers. I laugh, watching Burn go into the haunted house.] “Whatever you do, don’t go into the haunted house. Galaxy told me not to cause she’s trying to prank Burn again.” I burst out into laughter, almost falling over.

~PygmyOwl~

I rush off to the corn maze with Dolphin. I've never actually been in one of these before, and, although I was looking forward to it, I'd much rather get lost with someone else, especially since Grace refused to let me bring a book. Of course, Rayne, her favorite sibling, was allowed to bring two...

Dolphin lets out a long, romantic sigh. She's looking at Abcde and Shaow. "They're so perfect together, aren't they?"

I laugh. "Yeah. Shaow is the only  person who can make Abcde be completely nice. Besides Dallas, I mean, since he's her patient. But she's decided that if she's a psychologist, she needs to be nice sometimes. Honestly, it's refreshing to see her act like a normal girl, not a perfect queen-lady." I pause. "Is it weird that I feel like a mother to all my AEs, even though they're all older than me?"

~Abcde~

"You are rather pretty. Would gloves perhaps help?" Ocean asks, handing me a pair of delicate white gloves. I look over them. They're really lovely, and actually go okay with my costume. I pull one over my hand. It pinches a bit, because of the wrapping, but it's actually rather comfortable. "I love your costume, by the way. You do look nice. Red hair never ceases to amaze me. I only have this dirty silver-blue hair." Hm. Ocean's actually rather nice when she's not arguing about being better than me.

"Actually," I whisper, "It's dyed. My hair's naturally just regular old dark brown, nothing special. Don't tell." I giggle a little, and then I hear it. The sound of footsteps rushing toward me. I gasp a little. They've arrived. Slowly, I turn around, allowing a tiny smile to slide onto my lips.

»“I’m so sorry I couldn’t keep up with the other party, you look beautiful tonight, how’s Rayne and Grace? I’m so sorry-“« Shaow pauses, seeming to collect themself. I wait. It's nice to have someone apologize to me instead of saying "Be nice, Abcde" all the time. »“Ahem. Sorry. How are you?”« 

I tug off Ocean's glove and motion toward my bleeding hand. "I'm pretty good, besides this thing." I grimace. "How are you?"

»“Pretty much the same. Do you mind if I hang out with Tomru a little bit tonight? I wish I knew who I was at five.”«

"Of course! Tomru's absolutely adorable." I pause. Is Shaow trying to get away from me? I guess they might think it's a bit draining to always stay with me at every party. "Do... do you want me to come, or not?" I pull Ocean towards me, grabbing her hand. "It's fine if you don't want to me to come, I'm talking to Ocean. But... you know. Whatever you want."

~Grace~

Aspen, one of NerdFace's AEs, rushes toward me. "Hi," she says, "Pygmy, Nerdface is in the cornmaze. Want to join her? Then, Grace, you and I could hang out until your other friends get here..."

"Actually," PygmyOwl says, "I'm already going to the cornmaze with Dolphin. We could meet up with Nerd there. And Grace, that sounds like a great idea! I know you were getting annoyed with talking to me."

I jump up and down. "Yes! Yes I was! That's a great plan! Let's go to the cornmaze."

~Rayne~

Blaine bends down and pets Charlotte Brontë. "Does it have a name?" 

I grin. An easy conversation starter. "Her name's Charlotte Brontë, after the author of Jane Eyre. It's my favorite book. I can just see a spark of genius in her eyes. I rescued her from the forest by my house." All of a sudden, my words stop coming. Blaine's smiling. She looks so regal today, dressed as a Queen. Even though I'm taller than her, I feel small. Or enormous. I don't know. I smile back. "She's beautiful, isn't she?" I don't know if I'm talking about Ms. Brontë or Blaine herself.

We finally made it on Instincts new landrover, when we got there i saw A lot of Ae's and Cber's going to the corn maze, "Hmm, okay, if they want to take hours trying to get out, they can" i said as i brought out a few baskets of pies. Instinct Oak and Storm immediatley went and helped me carry them to the table. After that we parted ways and went to party. I found a place to sit on a couch next to some other Cber's and started typing away on my computer. Who knows? Maybe i can do something useful at a party instead of trying to get lost in a corn maze.

 I hopped out of Instincts Jeep or landrover or whatever and carried my share of pies to the back of the table. After almost tripping like one  milion times, i went to the other side of the table, grabbed a cookie and went outside to think what ill do back at the city, by myself of course. Who needs anybody else when i can handle things just fine? i was suddenly distracted by some people running into the corn maze, "intresting, i wonder what they want to do, isolating themselves in cold, dark, place full of prickly hay? Not me, i don't like mazes. I looked away to continue eating my cookie when i saw  Waterfall, Nightfall's Captcha prancing around. "Hmm, maybe it is time to socialize" i thought to myself remebering what Oak said to me. So i got up finsihed my cookie and went to say hi to Waterfall.

-----Oak----- 

I helped Inari carry the pies, why wouldn't I? His pies are amazing! After carefully setting them in a nice pattern, i went to the corn maze to see if i can get to the other side, it might be the only time i will ever get to go into a maze, ever! So plucking up my corage, i stepped into the maze and started walking. After walking in the dark, i bumped into someone else, i saw the persons face. It was Nightfall! "Do you know how to get through here?"

-----Instinct-----

"Ah yes, the beautiful smell of the trees." i say as i finally got out of the loud party were i put some of the pies in. I jump up giving me a start as i climb up a pine and sit on a branch admiring the sunset as i saw that there was a HUGE corn/hay whatever maze. But, it was a maze! I quickly scouted out the path to the other side before i actually going into the maze and getting myself lost. Once i knew the path, I jumped down, (i respect them ankles though) and hurried into the maze before anyone could get to the before me. WHy you might ask? Becuase i have a family tradition to uphold, the tradition? Be first to get through a maze. I had upheld that tradition all my life and now is not the time to lose that.

"I can't. I've been no use." Nightfall replies. And then she disappears. Was it someting I did? I felt immensly bad. I walk over to Kitty. I need to figure out a way to get out of here, I like Kitty, she seems nice. But I need to be alone right now. I pretend like one of my AEs is calling me with an emergancy. It's the oldest trick in the book, but I don't know what else to do. "I-I have to go. I'm sorry. I'll meet up with you later." I tell her. I feel bad, but I don't want to ruin her night. Kitty keeps on walking and I turn around and walk into the stalks of corn, where no one will find me. I sit on the ground and lay my head on my knees. I can't help but think I did something wrong to Nightfall and that I've blown my two chances of friendship for the night. I just sit in the corn, practically invisible, and hope my AEs are having a better time than I am at this point.

I eat my food. Galaxy says something about pranking the haunted house. I text Dallas what she says. I don't want him to get hurt. I'm bored again. I see Adrian with Winter, Evan with Spellcaster, Aspen with Grace, and Dallas with Burn. I don't know where Nerd is. It's halloween, for goodness sakes! I shouldn't be feeling like this!

"Actually, I'm already going to the cornmaze with Dolphin. We could meet up with Nerd there. And Grace, that sounds like a great idea! I know you were getting annoyed talking to me." PygmyOwl says to me. Grace jumps up and down and I chuckle slightly. "Yes! Yes I was! That's a great plan! Let's go to the cornmaze." Grace shouts. I smile. "Come on! I'll race you!" I tell her. I'm no longer bored. 

~~||*Dallas*||~~ 

"Oh yeah, definitely. Just watch out. I think I saw Galaxy sneaking over here." *Burn says. We walk into the haunted house and it just looks like a house. I check my phone. Cameron texted me.* "*Burn, Cameron just told me that Galaxy sprinkled itching powder on the carpets, so be careful.*" I say.

<Spellcaster laughs and I cringe. I just told her that I liked her and she's laughing. Did I do something wrong?> “[Whatever you do, don’t go into the haunted house. Galaxy told me not to cause she’s trying to prank Burn again.]” <She says. Oh. That's why she's laughing. Okay. She laughs harder, and well, laughter is contagious because I laugh too.> "<Oh, how fun. I hope Dallas doesn't get hurt.>" I say, concerned. 

»I suddenly realize that I shouldn’t have said that the way I did. “No! You can come! I meant- it’s not that I don’t want to hang out with you, I-“ I stop and scream at myself to get it together. “Ok. Let’s see if I can maintain some semblance of being normal. Starting over. 1. I really like you. 2. I’m pretty sure you know that. 3. I want to talk to Tomru because I want to see how I could have been. 4. Hello Ocean, I’m Shaow, it’s nice to meet you! And 5. I’d like you, Abcde to come with me when I talk to Tomru so I don’t say anything embarrassing and also because I like you. Ocean can come with if-“ I realize I don’t know Ocean’s pronouns. “If they want. And then maybe we can explore? And Ocean, I’m terribly sorry, but I don’t know your pronouns. May I ask what they are?” Phew. That was way more talking than I thought. I slip my hand around Abcde’s. “I’m sorry.”«

Blaze~

“Come ON!” Lumi and Midnight are lagging extremely far behind, and I’m the only one with a heavy dress and headpiece. Slowpokes. Kiwi is on my shoulder but she frequently hops off to jump on a branch and race me to the next tree. Obviously, she wins because I am wearing a Tudor era dress from the fifteenth century and a headdress, while she can FLY. Unfair.

Kiwi hops off  my shoulder. “Wait, let’s let them catch up,” I say. But really, I just need to catch my breath. I’m also carrying a box of caramel apples in my hands. Kiwi is wearing a backpack stuffed with candy and Midnight and Lumi are both carrying pies.

Lumi decided not to teleport us because four is a lot, plus candy, pies, and caramel apples. So we’re walking. I can see the party from where I stand, and it’s only making me want to get there even more.

“Thanks for waiting,” Lumi says, adjusting her grip on the pie. 

A few minutes and many “Hurry UP!”s later, we’re at the party. “Finally!” I say, and without further ado, run inside, Kiwi not far behind.

Midnight~

Hmph. Lugging a pie to a Halloween party in a costume (ish) is really not how I imagined spending today.

“Come ON!” That would be Blaze. How she moves so fast in the Jane Seymour costume is a mystery of life. I don’t think Lumi and I are going slow, but she is still yards ahead of us.

Luminescence sighs, adjusting her grip and moving a little faster. “Thanks for waiting,” she says as we catch up to them, but Blaze is already inside. Lumi and I look at each other. “Okay then,” I say. “Let’s go in,” she suggests. As we walk in, I can see AEs, CAPTCHAs (there’s even another sugar glider), and CBers. Blaze has found Jeremy and they are happily having a conversation.

Lumi and I walk over to Mary, who’s by the food table. “Hi, should I put this down here?” Lumi asks. “Sure,” Mary says. Lumi puts down the pies next to the caramel apples and bowls of candy and other delicious Halloween themed (or not) food.

“The AE Pavilion is over there,” Mary says, gesturing to the pavilion I saw Blaze talking to Jeremy.
