As a slightly faster song comes on and all the partners start swinging each other around, I decide to follow suit. Unfortunately, Stargirl has the same idea at the same time and we end up tripping over each other. “Whoops! Are you all right?” How embarrassing.•

How do you make the "dot" that starts before Coral talks and ends after she stops?

I do it on my iPhone, so I don’t know if it’s on other devices, but there are two ways. One is to hold down the - button on the number keyboard and it should pop up in some sort of options menu. Another is to go to the numbers keyboard and the the other symbols keyboard, (I don’t know if it’s actually called that...?) and it has its own button there. Hope this helps!

Georgia and Diana have finally left me alone, and I'm glad for a moment, but immediately start feeling awkward again. To make myself look busy, I reach for another cupcake, but accidentally bump another AE's cup of punch, spilling it all over their shirt.
"oh - uh - sorry," I say, but he just laughs.
"I told Luminescence I would spill punch on anything nice that I wore, and look at that. I was right."
"I was forced to dress up nice too. I don't even know where this button down shirt came from. I think Diana bought it for me or something -" I realize he probably has no idea what I'm talking about. "Oh, I'm Arrow, by the way. Majestic Mary's Æ."
"I'm Midnight, Luminescence's Æ." I nod, grab a cupcake, and we start to chat. Maybe coming wasn't such a bad idea after all.

@Mahriel, this shipping might not get anywhere. We can keep trying if you want, but I think this relationship might work better as Blaze and Jeremy just being friends? Let me know what you think.

Yikes. This AE is awkward, insecure, and uncomfortable.
It's kind of cute.
But really, he just asked me if I was a sports fan. I tilt my head slightly, a little confused, but I can tell he's mentally berating himself furiously. I can't help it. I burst into a fit of giggles. Jeremy laughs along uncomfortably.
By the time my giggles subside, I'm breathless, with aching cheeks and a stitch in my side. I've already left the dance floor because... dancinig and giggling? Nuh-uh. "I have to admit that dancing isn't really my thing," Jeremy says at last. "I gathered," I said, smiling.
Jeremy smiled too, and he seemed to relax a little bit. I leaned back on my bench, smoothing the light pink fabric of my skirt. "Oh! And to answer your question, I'm sorry to say that no, I'm not really a sports fan," I replied with apologetically, albeit a little belatedly.
Both of us laughed. "You?" I asked, and waited for a reply.
Midnight~
Starlight and Midnight hadn't answered, so I just got my butt out of there. I have to admit, Starlight makes me kind of nervous, and she and Night together are just an alarm that says, "Midnight, get out of there. Now!"
So I did. And then I proved myself right. An AE accidentally pushed over my punch in the middle of grabbing a cupcake. I opened my mouth to say, "Hey!" but I can see he's already apologizing. I think I recognize him as MM's AE, but I can't be sure.
I grab a cupcake. Arrow- I was right, he is Majestic Mary's AE- turns out to be pretty fun to talk to. As it turns out, he didn't want to dress fancy either- which is a relief, because I thought I was the only one.
"Did you come to the ball with anyone?" Arrow asks. For some reason, I get very flustered and mixed up. "Oh, um, no. Well, yes. But no." "What?" Arrow asks, understandably confused. I can feel myself blushing. "No, I didn't except for my sister, Blaze. She's over there, I think, talking to Jeremy. Mahriel's AE." There, Midnight. You did fine. Calm down, I tell myself. "You?" I ask out loud.
Luminescence~
I am hereby officially declaring my AEs human instead of hippocampi. It's just too confusing.
Also I didn't realize this earlier, but Blaze is turning into one picky AE. XD

"I came with Georgia and Diana, Mary's other AEs. You've probably seen them." I nod toward the dance floor, where Georgia is busting some wack moves and Diana is talking to a cat. To most people it would seem weird, but Midnight nods like he understands. "Siblings," He sighs. All of a sudden, the music changes and starts playing a strang rap/hip-hop song that I've never heard before. "You'd think that having song requests would be a good idea, but some Æs have no taste," I say. Midnight laughs, and I reach for another cupcake.

I finally start to feel comfortable, I guess laughing does that. "I am, sort of, I play basketball, but what I realy like to do is play piano and write songs." I realize I just told her something only two other people know. Blaine, and Archer. But somehow I know she won't laugh at my songs.
If they don't work out that's fine, I would love for them to still be friends though!

"Whoops, are you all right?" Coral asks as I pull her up from the floor. "Oh! Yeah, of course! It was both of our fault's. I mean...not that it was your fault! We just...BOTH of us started to spin each other." Ugh, what am I babbling on and on about? I decide to try and distract herfrom my ramble by suggesting, "Um...want to get something to eat?"

I am officially changing Tofix's font thing to this: ^-^This it what it looks like^-^ Because he's a cutie pie. And we're talking strawberry rhubarb pie. The most deliciously scrumptious...
^-^Sirfire escorts me to the front door. "Are you sure you don't want to leave Amid with me?" she asks. "She told me she wants to have a naaap..." Sirfire is so silly sometimes. How could she possibly know what Amid wants? "No. She wants to stay with me!" "Okay, okay! Have a good time." She pecks me on the nose, and I squirm away. "Okay, bye!!!!" I shift into a cat and run into the double doors before she can stop me. The smell of warm, savory food and the sound of lively music slap me in the face. I rub my cheek and sniff the air. Chicken, ripe oranges, and...is that...ECLAIRS???? I run through the maze of legs, following the scent. My path is especcially rocky since a fast, quick song just came on, and people are stomping their high heels and shoes. Since when were Æs good at dancing? Finally, the table comes in sight. I'm so close! I can taste the chocolate filling and flaky crust... When suddenly, a thin leg blocks my path. Hey! I want to say. So I do. But not before scratching the calf and knee. The owner of the leg screams in agony. Their friend inspects me closely and picks me up. I bare my teeth at them. They stick their tongue out, and I giggle. Their eyes cross. Now I'm full on laughing. They put me back down, and I transform into a human boy again. By the time I'm done, I'm hicupping. I stand up, trying to reclaim my dignity. I fail. Miserably. I give up, clutch Amid, and tentively squeak, "Hi".^-^

Georgia -
I'm enjoying myself on the dance floor and chatting with Diana when my carefree thoughts come to an abrupt halt. I feel the scratching of claws down my leg and shout in pain. I look down and see a little cat meowing aggressively at me. Before I can get mad at the cat, Diana steps in and stares at it. I can tell her soul is melting, and she immediately scoops the cat up and starts making faces at it. They both giggle, and as Diana drops the cat back to the ground, it transforms into a young human boy who's hanging onto a stuffed bunny and laughing like crazy. "^-^Hi^-^" The boy squeaks.
Diana -
"^-^Hi^-^" The little boy says in his fits of giggles. "Hey there, you," I reply. "What's your name?" I kneel down to meet his eyeline. "^-^I'm Tofix^-^" He says, taking a deep breath to stop laughing. "Hi, Tofix! I'm Diana, and the girl you just scratched is Georgia. I look up to Georgia, who is still scowling and rubbing her leg, but I can tell she's being softened by his cuteness. So am I.

^-^The tall, kind girl wearing a light and carefree dress that makes me smell wildflowers introduces herself as Diana. But the flower scent Diana has supposedly been making me inhale probably comes from Georgia, the shorter girl wearing a blue dress and a flower crown in her hair. She inspects her wounds, and we both wince at the same time. I'm very empathetic. Her hard gaze softens a bit when she sees my adorable face, but I still decide to apologize. "I'm-sorry..." I mumble, slightly embarrassed. "It's just-there were ECLAIRS and-your leg was suddenly RIGHT THERE, and when you're a cat, you have claws and-sometimes you USE them, without meaning to-" Geez, and I thought Stargirl was the awkward one! "It's all right," Diana says. "Georgia gets hangry too sometimes." At this Georgia scowls at her, and I compliment her crown. "Oh! Thanks. I like your bunny. But my flower crown-it took me hours to make." I smile. Diana beams, probably praising herself for making a friendship happen. "Now," Diana says, "How about we get you some of those eclairs?"

Georgia ~
Diana and I grin as Tofix gobbles down multiple eclairs at once. I take one for myself, not realizing that all that dancing had made me hungry. Diana takes a carrot stick, she's always been a healthy eater. I, on the other hand, take another handful of chocolate-covered pretzels as I gaze around the ballroom. Glancing to a snack table on the other end of the room, I notice Arrow - and he's actually talking to someone! And not just talking, laughing. I nudge Diana and point over.
Diana -
As I'm watching Tofix scarf down his fifth eclair, Georgia nudges me. I turn and she points to the other end of the ballroom, where Arrow is talking and laughing with another AE. Georgia looks at me, raises her eyebrows, and we both giggle. "^-^What's funny? ^-^" Tofix asks, chocolate crumbs flying out of his mouth. "Oh, nothing," I sigh. Being happy and carefree is much more enjoyable than acting like a babysitter for Georgia and Arrow. I smile and enjoy my carrot stick, but my thoughts are broken by the feeling of fur rubbing against my leg. Tofix has turned back into a cat, and he's melting my soul with his purr. Georgia and I give in to the cuteness and reach down to pet him.

I lean into Shaow and sigh happily. I feel as if I have reached an oasis in the wild desert of life. The Chatterbox, my home, is exploding into chaos. But this little corner of the world is peaceful and quiet. Shaow holds me tightly, and I feel as if I am melting. The world is perfect.
Then Grace walks up to me.
"Abcde, can you introduce me to people? Please?"
I sigh, and glance back at Shaow. "Sorry. I'll be right back." I almost wish I didn't beg so hard for siblings. Already, they are ruining a beautiful, romantic moment. I heave another sigh, deeper than before, and look around, seeing who I could introduce Grace to.

"okay" i whisper. Felix sits up.
"Whatthehuh?" He says, whipping his head around. I realize I'm sitting too close. i scooch away selfconciously.
"S-sorry if i woke you up, i was, um, talking to myself." i whisper.
"nah, its okay." Felix yawns, exposing his slightly pointy 'vampire' teeth*.

I whip my head around and stare at the tree.
"what? is there, like, a beetle on my face?" Felix says, jumping up. I laugh.
"No, I, um, I saw a butterfly?" i say awkwardly.
"ooh, cool. what kind?" Felix asks. I wrack my brain for butterfly types.
"Um... a monarch I think?" i reply, hoping thats a real kind of butterfly. Felix grins.
"you didnt actually see a butterfly, huh?" he says, laughing. I grin sheepishly.
"Nope, heh..." I say. Felix laughs harder.
"Shall we see if the slow song is over?" he offers. I nod. Felix stands up and holds out his hand. I take it and he hauls me to my feet.
"Cmon." I start walking. Felix is still clutching my hand. I dont let go.

and so the two brown-haired AEs, one reasonabley shorter, walk across the damp grass, hand in hand. They are discovering things they never thought of, and from this moment onward, they will never be the same.
