Shaow lets me drag them onto the dance floor. As we dance, they ask me about me siblings. "They're doing great!" I can't keep from smiling. I'm so happy to have siblings. "I think this ball is going to be really wonderful for both of them. Grace seems to already be having a lot of fun. Rayne. Well, Rayne is hopefully going to come out of his shell a bit here. I know that my first ball was quite difficult for me socially. I was so. . . shy and awkward. I'm glad you weren't there, you would probably have despised me." I laugh. "I met Alice there, she was nice, we had a pretty long discussion. Poor girl, I'm sure she hated every moment of it. I babbled on about veganism and tofu and who knows what else! Anyway, as I was saying, first balls are always hard, but I think Grace and Rayne will do just fine. This music is simply lovely, isn't it?" I hum along to the song, still in Shaow's arms. For once, I am perfectly happy.

Bean~

For a moment, I'm at a loss for words, admittedly surprised by what Archer's just said. Finally, I manage to form a response.

"Oh, I, um, I'm not sure-" I stop and start over. "I understand if you'd like me to leave, but if you don't mind... I'd kind of like to stay and get to know you better? If you don't want me to, I can go, I just thought maybe even as friends we could have a nice time because you seem like a great guy and I think..." I realize I'm rambling and trail off. I don't usually get this flustered. I take a breath and look at Archer, waiting for a reaction and hoping that any of what I just said made sense.

Coral blushes and hands me a bouquet of star-shaped flowers. I should have brought her something! She pulls me out of my inner scolding by tucking a flower behind my ear. Heat rises in my cheeks and my chest, almost like a little blossom of love taking place in my heart. She says, carefully, like she's walking through a minefield, "Would you like to dance?" I take her hand and smile. The notes of a slow song prick the air, and we gracefully glide across the dance floor. 

"Do you wanna get some punch?" Reese asks me, and I nod in agreement. I'm filling a glass for her when I hear a slow song start. Excitedly turning around, I think aloud, "I wonder if any of my sisters are dancing!" Me and Reese scan the room. "Aha!" she exclaims. "I think I see Stargirl and Coral dancing!"  And she's right! Star and Coral are sweeping around the ballroom, cheeks pink and mouths smiling. I squeal. That is adorable!" Me and Reese obsess over this romantic devolpment for a few moments. I finally hand her some punch and gaze out, wishing Harper was here. 

Sam offers to dance, and I accept. We attempt to glide and spin like the other pairs are, but we can't get a few feet without stepping on each others'. Eventually, we give up and just freestyle. I spin, she does the wave, and we both have a pretty good time. We retreat to comfort of the chairs by the wall. "Wow, these are squishy!" I exclaim. She presses down. "You're right! I didn't even notice." She pauses, looks around, and says, "That's exactly the kind of thing Night Vision would point out." 

Blaze~

I smile to myself, a little dazed. What did I just do? My smile disappears. KIWI. What was I thinking? "Kiwi!" I yell, looking up. I can see a small shape whizing through the air. "Oh Kiwi... Get over here!" I yell again. She jumps off the plant she's hanging on to, a grin somehow plastered on her little face as she jumps and lands on my shoulder.

As I keep walking I reprimand her about going off on her own. She points out that I was the one who told her to, so it isn't her fault. I have no reply for that, Soon I bump into an AE. "Ohmygoodness, are you okay?" I ask frantically, bending over the AE on the floor. He groans, looking a little embarrassed. "Yes, I'm fine." 

"Sorry for banging into you," I apologize. "It's okay," he says. In the background, I can see Midnight hovering, and somehow I inexplicably put the pieces together. "Ooh, you banged into my brother earlier, didn't you?" I ask. "Who's your brother?" the AE asks, sitting up. "Midnight? Over there?" I point to him. The AE flushes uncomfortably. "Yeah," he admits. 

"Midnight, he's fine! You can stop hovering now!" I yell to my brother, embarrassing him. "You don't get to tell be what to do! I'm older, remember?" he grumbles. I roll my eyes. "So, what's your name?" I ask the fallen AE, sitting down on a bench. "I'm Blaze, by the way. Luminescence's AE. Are you one of Mahriel's? I saw you with Archer and Blaine earlier."

He nods. "I'm Jeremy. Nice to meet you." "You too!" I say. Jeremy nods, but doesn't say anything. I can't help feeling a little disappointed. "Well... wanna dance?" I finally ask, waiting for his answer.

Midnight~

"Well, Blaze has found someone to hang out with. Really, that AE needs to watch where he's going!" I think to myself. Then I remember I will totally bang into someone myself if I don't pay attention to what's happening. I spot Starlight and.. is that Night Vision?... talking awkardly. I walk over to them. I've always liked Starlight. She's introverted, but (and don't tell them I said this) a little less annoying than the rest of her crew.

Before I know it, I'm already where the two girls are sitting. They stop midsentence. "Sorry," I groan. "Didn't mean to intrude." I sigh a little bit. Night and Starlight look at each other.  "Night," Starlight introduces me, "this is Midnight, Luminescence's AE." Night nods. "Hi," I say. "I can... go now, if you want?" I have to admit, Blaze would have laughed at me. A lot. Because I was squeaking. Literally.

Night and Starlight look like they're trying to avoid laughter as they look at each other, trying to see if it would be okay to let me join the conversation. I wait.

Luminescence~

Haha, just kidding. @Winter and @Heroes, just so you know, Midnight isn't really looking for shipping material, so if you were worried about that don't. Or there could be some sort of triangle? I don't know. Are Night and Starlight shipped, by the way? If so Midnight will leave you to it. ("I'll leave you to it. One week later I'm getting a letter nightly (Hamilton quote)- sorry) If not, he'd like to join the conversation and possibly become friends.

Archer~

"Oh, no, that's not what I meant, I want to get to know you, I wouldn't have asked you if not, you seem like a really cool person, I just didn't know if you would wnat to dance with me if there's someone else you like, but if you don't mind then i definently want to keep talking." I blush, embarresed.

Blaine~

I stand there awkwardly for a second, then I decide to go for it, it may not go well, but jumping in is my style. "Do you want to dance? Or at least just sit and talk? I don't know many people here, and it would be nice to meet you." I reallize that I'm blushing and try my best to stop it.

Jeremy~

I blushed a little, "Ok, I-I would love that." I lead her out to the dance floor, and we begin to dance. "So, are you a sports fan?" I mentally scream at myself. What kind of a question is that?! 

Of course, Ace, I'll go with you. Sorry for being so late to reply.

Georgia -

As the music picks back up, so do I. I jump up and down to the beat of the music until I'm too thirsty to keep dancing. I walk over to the snack table where Arrow is standing and spoon myself some punch, then turn to Arrow and say, "Why aren't you dancing?" He sighs and replies, "Seriously? You think I'm going to dance?"

"It's better than standing here doing nothing," I reply. "At least find someone to talk to instead of just standing there."

"I'm perfectly fine just standing here, thank you very much," He says, then grabs another cupcake and walks away. I sigh and return to the dance floor, and accidentally bump into another AE on the way. I turn around to see who it is.

Soo, with the whole Starlight/ Night Vision thing: just clarifying, does Night Vision like Starlight? Because that's ok, but Fauna and Starlight are currently shipped, so I just though AW should know that. ALthough I would be fine with Fauna and Star being just friends if you think Night Vision would be better (they are both introverted and all), but only if you want to. Thanks!
