Quarantine Hobbies
I've been curious about whether anyone has found new hobbies or things that they enjoy/interest them, with all this free time with a pandemic going on, or if anyone has found oppurtunities to do things that they have wanted to do. You can post them and talk about them here!

Well, in my extended free time I found out about a theater group in my town, which I'm thinking about joining when this passes! My friend also started a survival co-op world in Minecraft, which I've been playing a lot. And I'm drawing a lot more, but that doesn't really count.

I've joined another (online) D&D campaign. I have also joined a "flex class" about drawing certain features more realistically, although Ive been drawing well before this started. Maybe I will upload a picture of what Ive done there! (Two eye drawings).

I am in 3 different online D&D campaigns. I want to see some eye drawings!!

Cool! in my school D&D campaign I have a very annoying lawful good nature cleric with ten cats and a zone of truth deer. In my other campaign I have a mysterious warlock who made a pact with Hecate. Here is a hand drawing I did in that class!

I've been learning both American Sign Language, and Spain Spanish! (which is way different than regular Spanish as to pronunciation and stuff.) So at the moment I'm learning 3 different languages, French, ASL, and Spanish which is cool.
I'm also hoping that my Dad teaches me some calligraphy so I can do fancy writing. :)
Oh, and if I have time I'll read and write more short stories.

I have been doing a lot more bookbinding, whittling, and a bunch of other things that I don't want to have to type here, and have started weaving my first tapestry. I'm getting more sewing practice too - besides face masks, I also machine-sewed an apron and hand-sewed a stuffie bunny who I haven't found the perfect name for. Oh, and I learned paper quilling! I have had a lot of time to think of environmental things, and have had 2 good story ideas! Two! Also, if this counts, we have FINALLY attracted Baltimore orioles to our yard and we saw a pileated woodpecker too! Lastly, we have some old telegraphs and I'm learning Morse code on them.

My dad has been letting me play his banjo! He said that I've learned more in a week than he has in the 15 years that he's been playing XD

Well, I am also learning ASL. It’s really fun. So now I am learning two languages, Chinese and ASL. I have been playing violin a lot more and listening to music. My teacher has been doing bi-monthly recitals, and I have to practice for those. I’ve had a lot more time to read and write which is nice. I haven’t really started new hobbys, mostly just spending more time on the ones I already have. Once I find my cloth I am going to embroider (the cloth seems have to been misplaced). Hopefully I will find some time to re-ink the ribbon on our typewriter so I can type letters that aren’t so faint.

What model is your typewriter? I have a FACIT 1620 and Smith Corona XL 1000 and 1800, which are electric and nowhere near as fun. I love typewriters!

Oh, I’m sorry Blackfooted Bobcat. I didn’t see your question until recently. We have two Smith Coronas (one electric which we picked up for free, but electric ones aren’t as fun), and an Underwood 319 (which we also picked up for free). I can’t remember the model numbers for our Smith Coronas. I also love typewriters!

I like the way Underwood 319s look, though I've never typed on one. And I've been doing a lot of viola too.

I play violin too! What songs are you working on?
(June 27, 2020 - 8:27 pm)
I’m finishing up Mozart’s 2nd violin concerto. After I finish that my teacher says I can start the Bruch violin concerto. I’m really looking forward to the Bruch, I enjoy it a lot.
What songs are you working on?
