I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

I don't think people usually do anything specific for a one month aniversary. It's usually one year. You could make something though, like art or a recipe.

It's quite easy to transition from rhyming to freeverse poetry, but not so easy the other way round :/ also very difficult to get motivation to sort through all the potential slant rhymes sigh

really? I'm so much worse at free verse! or, it takes me a lot more time. it's a bit easier to not have to think about rhymes though. i think with rhyming poetry an important thing is to change the content of the line to suite the rhyme more often than the rhyme to suit the content; like, set your current line to the side and think of others to see if they'll go better and use the saved one later. or try phrasing it a different way. it actually makes it easier to be creative and sound more natural. that's just me though, i haven't written poetry in a long time... i didn't explain that well though, and maybe it just works for me, idk.

I agree; freeverse does take a long time, but I find that it has more potential for originality, and less stress. Rhyming takes me much longer, though, and because I insist on consistent line lengths and lately meter as well, much much much more effort and hunting through the dictionary and thesaurus.
Hm...I change the rhyme as often as I change the content, because setting my heart on a certain rhyme and then squishing or stretching content usually just makes the poem really awkward (what I like to call a forced rhyme, which is one of my pet peeves). Therefore I change the content to fit the rhyme or leave it if the content is perfect, change the rhyme to fit the content, change other rhymes to align and then their content...etc., and eventually it gets all smoothed out.
I do save different versions of lines, in both types of poetry. But more often I just replace, and the previous versions wander back to my mind if they are better than the replacement.

In my experience, real people are quite interesting too! The difference is: you have to take time and effort to get to know them first, whereas with fictional characters, everything you need to know about them is laid out for you to see (or infer---*sigh* analyzing. Sometimes it's super fun, though!)! You probably already know this and this wasn't your point, but I love this revelation (it's a revelation for me haha---I rarely try to get to know people but once you start trying, it's amazing what you can find!) :)))

i have a lot of CB catching up to do - my laptop keyboard's number keys and arrow keys are broken, also i'm losing my mind again XD (don't worry, as soon as it's gone, another pops up so i can lose it again!) oh also i've been able to practice so i've been doing more of that. either way i haven't disappeared, you're still stuck with me i'm afraid.

Y'know, when Encanto came out and people started sayin' "We don't talk about Bruno", I honestly thought they were talkin' 'bout Bruno Mars, LOL.
Also, this was said on the gorup chat I have with my friends R and G:
G: When life gives you lemons throw them at Umbridge.
R: When life gives you Em (she used my real name), stop her from eating a car.
Long story short, a few minutes prior to this tidbit, I had said that I wanted to eat a car. Yes, I was on a sugar high, LOL.
Bradley just said "mbgcb". Somethin' 'bout the CB is all I'm gettin' here, dude.

Saturday!: Go to a renaissance faire with my gf, sister, and friend! Buy taxidermy.
