I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

I'm sad the CB doesn't seem to have as many new CBers :( growing up the CB was such a great influence & inspired me to start my entire creative writing journey. I feel like gen alpha could definitely use a positive internet space like the CB instead of whateverother sites.

hey, welcome back! i TOTALLY agree, but there's generally a steady amount of new CBers still! though it may be less than before, i'm not quite active enough to know. i remember when i first joined there were already people predicting the CB would "die" in the coming years or stop getting new CBers, so i'm optimistic that that won't happen for a good while. :)

Hii, welcome back Ditto!! And yeah, I don't love all the ideas getting/that seem like they're getting fed to kids nowadays... the CB would be an awesome alternative! But y'know, at least we can still make the world kinder without having the CB as a necessity, but still...

Yeah, I totally agree about the internet thing. I watch kids watching online shorts, what I consider racist, homophobic, generally "politically incorrect " junk, and liking it! I kind of laugh to myself because my only internet experience is the CB.

Heyy, welcome back! It's amazing to meet you (unless maybe we'd already met on a Valentine's Day reunion?) - I've seen a ton of your old posts :D But yeah, it does feel like very few young writers/artists/Otherwise Great People are coming to the CB; I'm not sure why. Every now and then we do get an influx of new CBers, though!

RAINBOW RIOT?! I'm so glad to see you!!! i agree, the CB really hasn't been very active lately :(
also yeahhh the internet at large is not a great place for kids. i find that to be interesting actually, because for certain people the internet can be really really important (for instance, queer kids being able to find stuff that is more accepting or know that what they're experiencing is real or that they're not wrong or alone) but then it can also be super detrimental (trends, which also have a horrible environmental impact*, or having to fit in or whatever, i honestly am not quite sure because i'm not really on the internet at large.)
*Clothes alone are bad enough - read The Conscious Closet by Elizabeth L. Cline.
Bobcat, I'm not posting the details from the book that you submitted, because I don't have time to check them, but I have heard that The Conscious Closet is a great book to recommend.

A cat appeared at my house day after Christmas... He's the sweetest everrrr
