I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. So I may have a girlfriend? But also I'm not completely sure. They weren't kidding about relationships being confusing I'm afraid.
Also, it's two weeks into school and I'm already failing AP US History and I'm supposed to start my internship on Tuesday even though they haven't emailed me back and I still have to do vocab for AP Lang and Latin vocab and edits for the literary magazine and-
On a happier note, I've read over 1,000 pages of Les Miserables! Which means I only have around 300 or so to go!

Wow, only 300 more left, yay! (I stopped after the part where Jean Valjean got buried alive, but I can't find the book right now so I don't know what page that is; I'll probably read more sometime in the future when I have the time).
Good luck with Latin vocab!! Sometimes it helps to think of derivatives of the Latin words, or write the Latin words on one side of a piece of paper and the English translation on the other, then cover the English translation side and then slowly move the paper down as you go through.

Who decided what languages are going to be called in English? It makes no sense. There are no rules. Take Thailand, Iceland, and England--they all have the same structure, something-land. But the language names are COMPLETELY different! Thai, Icelandic, and English. Why?? In Japanese, you just add -go to the end of the country name, and that's that (unless I haven't learned about irregulars).

I LOVE MY HISTORY CLASS SO MUCH OMG
Right now I'm reading an assigned reading that's all about economic & educational inequality across racial divides and it doesn't sugarcoat ANYTHING, it just goes right out and says "yes Black people get paid way less and don't have access to as good schools and that is because of systemic racism thank u for listening." Like. In some schools that would get a teacher fired. I'm so lucky T_T my history teacher is amazing.

For my history class my history teacher has all these little booklets about all our neighborhoods so we're going to get to learn about the history of each of our neighborhoods!! History I think is just pretty cool in general, though it's hard to know the whole history of things..

FINALLY! ACESSING THE CB AT SCHOOL! (for an instant)
This is going to be a short post because I have a class to take, but yes, hello guys, I'm not dead yet. I'll be very infrequent in posts bec I'm at my boarding school now that the school year is here, and we only have computer classes (where I can enter the internet) once a week... (and high school classes are harrowing)

Welp, apparently my dad already knew 'bout my crush on Chris Pratt before my mom said "HEY, *Insert my dad's name here*, *insert my real name here*'S GOT A CRUSH ON CHRIS PRATT"
Me: EEP! *Tries to cover mom's mouth*
Five minutes later:
Me: *Hides in room, panickin', puts pillowcase over head to hide in shame*
Mom: *From the kitchen* HE ALREADY KNEW!!
Me: Thank goodness.
A few minutes later:
Mom: He was in *insert show that I don't believe I can say due to content*?! That may be the only reason Em wanted to see it, 'cause he's in it!
Me: *Still wearin' pillowcase* No, that's not the reason!
Also, the reason I was wearin' a pillowcase was 'cause I have a TERRIBLE liar face sometimes, especially when it comes to my crushes.
...I'm still recoverin' from shock, while listenin' to a VERY good version of Minecraft's Aria Math song. Man, it's GOOD.

i know that feeling. in the library one time i was reading this book about a celebrity who i secretly *liked*. my mom came up and saw me reading it and i was in panic because i was sure she would deduce i liked him. it's one of the closest i've come to having a panic attack.
