Random Thoughts/Things?

Random Thoughts/Things?

I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

@Lord Entropy, wait Star-Lord and NEBULA?! Huh. I didn't know that that was a thing.... could you explain it maybe? I've never watched the movies (my parents have, and if I could, I'd just watch all the movies 'bout them), so I don't know much 'bout the storylines...

Maybe I should do a drawin' of Star-Lord and Nebula gettin' married... do y'all think I should?

Hey, y'all. I'm back. With many stories from camp. *chuckles to self remembering all the fun times...* Right. So, how have y'all been? I'm working on catching up on this thread, but as of now, I'm only on page... 665. I made a handful of friends, all but like 3 of them not in my age group (mainly ones a year younger...), took home some more beautiful beads, went slightly insane a couple days (like that one day he fed me candy.... ha, I loved that day), was told I was pretty (YAY), wore a wonderful tie multiple times, got last place in color war, crossed the Delaware River, spent all morning organizing books with a random child I don't know, among many many other things. But, I didn't do my reading or math homework... So bye for now, gotta remember how to do math, figure out what book to read (not a 750-page book on Fredrick Douglass like my friend), and pack for a different trip. Also procrastinate. Love y'all, and I'm glad I'm able to chat with y'all again!

Hi Rainbow, I'm glad that you're back and have missed seeing (or reading, but I've forgotten who thought of that phrase instead of seeing, oh bother) you around. You have just as colorful and bright of a personality as your name :D Ooh, organizing books. Fun!

Yay, I'm really glad you're back! I've missed seeing you around. Camp sounds like it was amazing. The CB's been pretty quiet lately, but I think it's pepping up again now that the ones who left for the summer seem to be coming back. Have fun on your next trip!! :)

(Also: since you mentioned trying to choose a book to read, would you like any book recs? I promise they will not be along the lines of huge works on Frederick Douglass :) )

Thank you! Camp was amazing. Also, yes, a book rec would be very much appreciated. What I have to read is a book (non-fiction or fiction) about the American Dream. So, yeah, pretty loose. Thanks!

Ooh they are but they also have bioengineered ingredients in them and therefore I will not allow myself to eat them. *sighs*

OMG I never eat bioengineered ingredients either!! I got mild indigestion a lot when I was little, but it went away when my family really cracked down on all the GMO stuff in our diet and resolved to eat only non-GMO and organic food. Yay we're kindred food spirits :)

My family also has had issues with GMO, because it gave us heartburn and difficulty breathing. After we realized it was the bioengineered food ingredients, I made a thorough inspection of the entire kitchen and threw away all of the bioengineered food (it was mainly snacks like chips). So now I always check the back of the food to see if it's genetically modified, then avoid it forever (like M&Ms, which used to be my favorite candy when I was little, and Goldfish). The tricky thing is that some companies very deceptively place a QR code on the back of the bag that says something like "scan here for more food information". When we scanned it, it led to a page that said simply, "This product contains bioengineered food ingredients." So I watch out for those QR codes as well...

i would love to give up gmo and stuff and eat all organic i really hate how it's in like everything but i don't know if i would be strong enough for that, plus my family wouldn't be on board with that and we don't have the time or money anyway
