Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Random Thoughts/Things?

Random Thoughts/Things?

I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

Some interesting about the CB is that people in 2017-18 were making a lot more threads, especially on CaC, and I used to think that it meant that it was just much more active back then, but after actually looking at a lot of those threads I think that a fair amount were things that nowadays people would just post here, on Random Thoughts/Things. So therefore, the creation of this thread in 2019 cut down on the amount of threads created but streamlined the threads that were so all of the random thoughts/updates/questions were filtered out.

That being said, I think it's pretty cool how this thread has kind of evolved from a place to post random thoughts to kind of a communal chat that the entire CB uses (that still receives plenty of random thoughts).

Yeah I use this thread for practically everything. Also right now, I'm on my way home from school on the train.

i love the Chatterboxian concept of surveys merely for the sake of surveys. also, raise your hand if you've read The Count of Monte Cristo.

*half-raises hand*

I started it, but it was wayyy too dramatic and stormy for my taste, and it was so long... I gave up after a few chapters XD

And yes, surveys are so much fun :)

Apprarently, today is the last day of school. I am officially a high schooler and I have completed 8th grade even though I honestly wish middle school could last for another month.

I had my first CB-related dream this year! It was really weird, but I'm gonna try to summarize it because I don't want to forget it.

So it was sorta set in CB city, but it sorta wasn't--a bunch of us as our CBsonas were there in the flesh, but we were in a thread--the thread was big and stretching across the floor, and everybody was sitting on their own comments--and we weren't talking to each other despite being sorta in-person, we wrote comments on the thread and responded to each others comments without saying anything out loud. We made comments by writing them on the floor with permanent marker and then drawing a box around it--the moment the ends of the box closed, the writing would morph into the CB font and little reply buttons would appear in the lower left corner and it would become a proper comment. I remember Reuby Moonnight, GLT, and Chaser & Jay being there. I know there were other CBers too, but I can't remember them super well because it was a dream.

The point of the thread was to bring back some giant fantasy sea dragon that was the guardian of CB or something like that, according to my dream, some past CBers invented it, but people forgot about it and stopped using it so it died. We were doing this ritual that was supposed to bring it back to life. This ritual was done by each of us eating goldfish graham crackers at the same time on the night of a full moon. Apparently even though we couldn't talk to each other except through posting comments on the thread via writing on the floor with sharpie, we could have other interactions that didn't go through the thread, because I remember passing a bag of graham cracker goldfish around to all the other CBsonas.

And then it morphed into a dream about hockey. So that was great.

...also look what I did to my banana

Fluffles says <woaaf>. Apparently Fluffles is pretending to be a dog today.

The finale of my ski lodge is literally fighting me tooth and nail. It Does Not want to be written. I've been working on the final part for like a week now. It's still a mess T-T RIP me

*sighs*

Yes, finales are so ridiculously hard. Conclusions are my weakness. Tip: Try to put a lot of action and perilous things that the characters do/have happened to them, in order to increase the tension, despair, and conflict. The more this escalates, the more bonechilling it is to read. Good luck! :)
