I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

Do any of y'all AE experts have some advice for giving my AEs a fresh start? I haven't used them in a really long time and they are in desperate need of an update. How do you go about making AEs? I can't believe that I've been here for almost three years and still don't completely understand the concept...are they meant to represent different parts of your personality, or can they just be creative characters that you love?

Well, I wouldn't call myself an AE expert (I find the whole concept sort of vague), but here's what I've managed to figure out about AEs: I think they're supposed to be characters you've created specifically to embody parts of your personality that don't get seen as much. For instance, if you have a really enthusiastic, giggly side that loves skiing, you might create an AE who shares those traits. I guess you could also just make an already-created character into an AE. I think Reuby did that once. It's basically like creating a charrie for a story, except an AE plays the role of a sidekick rather than an actual main character. I hope this helps!

First off YOU USE XENOS TOO?!?! That's awesome! It's so cool that you've made your own :D I'd be curious to see the Cricketgender flag if you want to share? (No pressure of course.) I can definitely see Cricket being a gender, especially the color scheme. (If you want to reply, it could be good to post this on the QSA thread as well/instead.)

Ummm...Apparently she hasn't noticed that I bring them everywhere???
I don't even know why I do, honestly. I never have time to write on these types of events, but I feel nervous when I don't have a notebook, or just a place to jot down sudden plot ideas. My theory is that writers are just people whose thoughts keep leaking out of their heads and need notebooks to catch them in.
And eventually the notebook becomes so filled that it's like a basin of treasure?
Yes! It would also explain why I bring them everywhere. And why I don't like people peeking at them without permisson.
Actually, just talking about this is giving me an idea for a story...
