I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. High-five, fellow History Day-er! A friend and I did the exhibit category. Our project is the Mercury 13, and I know I should be good at describing it by now, but ... um. :D It's basically a group of women in the 1960's who took astronaut training tests and opened space to more gender-inclusiveness. We actually did really good; we're moving on to state! I'm so excited! How about you? What was your topic?

*high fives you back* Wow, the Mercury 13 sound really cool! Congrats on advancing to state! :D I also did an exhibit (my partner is one of my classmates). Our topic is the Matchgirls' Stike of 1888, which was a labor movement in London that played a significant role in fueling the New Unionism movement of the late 1800s and many other unskilled worker strikes of the time period. We're also heading to state, actually, which is really exciting. I wish you best of luck in states. :D

Happy Pi Day! (Periwinkle already said this but I had to celebrate as well)
My school literally has an extended lunch period on Pi Day. There's a pi recitation contest (the winner had 340 digits(!!)), a whipped cream eating contest, and a pie baking competition. And many pies that are for eating. It is marvelous.
@Phoenix Tears, ahhh. Friday, March 13, 2020 will always live in infamy in my memory. I'm not sure if we should be celebrating making it through 3 years or lamenting the fact that it has been 3 years?
@Artemis, I just read A Darker Shade of Magic and it was awesome! The cover is really cool, and I love that all of the author's covers kind of go together.

Double-posting but can I just say that I love the CB because it loads so quickly
Like my email or Microsoft Teams will take ages to load because they have to load my account & everything, but the CB is instantaneous. It's magical.
