I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

back to the Down to Earth

Why does everyone choose the days I've had a long, busy, awful day to be like "family bonding time, we're all having dinner together and you have to entertain your little cousins for three hours! And, when you go home, ready to finally take the break your mentally and physically exhausted self needs, the only thing you're going to be thinking about is your homework!" 

Also, being good at English is really frustrating. My teacher is making us all learn how to use quotation marks and I'm bored out of my mind because… I know how to use quotation marks
Also also in English we're writing a short story and I was excited but honestly I'm writing it and I think it's really bad? It's realistic fiction, which I don't do much of these days, but there was gonna be character development and all and like a plot twist, but it's just really lame? I think part of the reason though is that while we get a lot of creative freedom there's still some stuff tying us down and like it's so guided bc as my dad says "not everyone has been creatively writing since they were eight and knows what they're doing, sweetheart" but that kinda puts me in a box. It doesn't really help, if you know what I mean? And so much pacing. At the beginning we went too slow, but now we're going way too fast! Kinda just wanna throw the whole thing out the window and restart but we're peer editing on Monday so idk :/
But today at musical rehearsal I was kinda crying bc today sucked and all my friends comforted me, so that was nice :,)
And I'm trying to start playing Dungeons and Dragons! My friends and I are all beginners but we made a party and we're gonna start playing next week, and I'm gonna try being Dungeon Master. I'm really nervous and I have like no idea how to prepare XD but I'm also super excited!

Sorry about the whole exhausted-but-must-interact-with-family thing, hun. :/ It's not fun to be forced into situations like that when you have your own work and stress and needs, I know.

Also about the writing thing. I get how tiring that can be -- frustrating , if you will.

Anyway, congrats about starting on DnD! Not to dissuade you, but being a good DM can be an awful lot of work; lotsa research, planning, story-telling skills and improv. It can be really rewarding though, and I'd be thrilled to hear how it goes for you, if you do end up taking a liking to it! Sounds like fun, good luck Peri!

oof. that time I did not manage to drink all the root beer.

and I got sub-40 minutes on a 5K, which is 3.1 miles :D

just realized that in Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Link is left-handed, but in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Link is right-handed
