Random Thoughts/Things?

Random Thoughts/Things?

I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

The homeschooler problem of not being done with school when one was supposed to and having to catch up, extending one's school year into mid-June/July

I'm just slightly wary of impersonators today. I'm looking at people's posts and thinking, "Did they actually make that post?" Ugh.

On a happier note, I'm wearing shorts today for the first day this year! I'm not even someone who likes to wear shorts ever but it was warm yesterday and I was a little overheated in my longer clothes, and then I saw a group of girls from the middle school up the street walking home from school and every single one of them was wearing shorts, so I just decided okay, if they can wear shorts, I can wear shorts. And so I'm wearing shorts...I feel like most of this paragraph is redundant.

Hazel says naww. Pardon? And now she says gvty. If anyone would like to interpret that for me, please feel free.

Ack, same. About the impersonators. Now I’m reading every comment a little suspiciously.

And actually same about the shorts too. XD I had worn them a few times this year, but our house is cold, so unless I was outside, I’d only be hot enough to wear shorts for a little while before I got cold and had to change into pants again. But today I was finally hot enough to wear them almost all day! I don’t know why but I’m happy about that.

My last day of classes is the 28th, my last day of school is the 29th, and Field Day is the 30th.

Being a sixth grader was fun. But hard.

My last day of school will be June 11. I'm so sad. School is awesome for me, and 6th grade was fun.

Really? When I was in sixth grade we got out May 24th. I remember because it was a big deal. Our grade only had thirteen people, but we were still the biggest sixth grade there had ever been and bigger than the fourth and fifth grades, which we shared a class with. Every year all of the sixth graders present a short graduation speech, and they almost always contained multiple inside jokes. They used to sing “There’s a Hole in the Bucket” and “There’s a Hole in the Bottom of the Sea” (different but both very repetitive and long songs) at graduation until they decided that was overkill, but they still sing “Thank You for Being a Friend”. I wore a kimono to my graduation, and even though it was only a really fancy juban no one there knows much about kimonos so they didn’t notice I was basically wearing underwear, if you consider juban to be that. And the French teacher gives everyone berets, which we threw as our graduation caps, and the teachers gave us little gift bags. The year my sister graduated, they gave all the sixth graders John Cena Rubik's Cubes.

Sorry for that semi-tangent! I love telling stories.

Today's the day, aah aah aaaaahh....

Also, I'm testing out a linking trick that I heard from Vyolette. This link here should go to the first page of the Ultimate Guide to the CB.

Whoa, that's so cool! I'm glad it works, I think I'll be using that trick to link posts now. It looks so much cleaner than copying the whole url in.

Oh, that’s awesome. I’ve never been able to link well. How does one do that?

@Everyone, here's the link to where Vyolette posted the instructions, on the thread where she's posting a book she's writing. (I haven't read it, I just clicked on it to see what it was and saw the linking thing.) She said you should use the Mail application, but I think you can do the trick on anything, like Google Docs, the TextEdit app, or whatever. As long as you can highlight a word and have "link" pop up as an option.
