I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

The darnedest thing just happened!
We got an earthquake!
My mom woke me up and as I was making my bed it shook a little, but that's not unusual because my bed is a loft. However, it just kept going, and then I noticed my fan was shaking too! I was just sitting there, super confused, wondering "did we just get an earthquake" until the shaking stopped. And when I got out of bed all the neighbors were texting and asking if anyone else felt it. So strange!
And I'm in NC, so it's not like we're sitting on top of a fault or anything.
@DoodleGirl and @Mistia, fellow North Carolinians, did you guys feel anything?
Something similar happened to me several years ago in Illinois. It was early morning. I was lying in bed when the bed gently started to shake, then everything in the room startled to rattle. Nothing fell. That has been my only experience with an earthquake.

Nah, I'm at the beach right now. I'm surprised I didn't hear about it, though. I didn't think there could be an earthquake without a fault.

I would really recommend checking out Yael Nathan's art. She did a series where she drew "24 Women Of Different Body Types As Powerful Warriors". It's really empowering and the art is just amazing, also.

Yesterday I went to the library and got out this picture book, "You Name Is A Song". So when I got home I started reading it and I noticed that it had a very distinct smell. And I knew I had read a book that had smelled like it once, but I couldn't remember what book it was. So I smelled and smelled and smelled some more, but darn it, I could not remember what book it was! This morning, I woke up really sick (it's not COVID) and you know how people have comfort food? Well, I kind of have comfort smells, were I smell things that I like. (It's usually weird things like wet towels or our basement.) So I got out of bed to get that book, and I smelled it and BOOM! I finally realized what book it smelled like. (Kiki and Coco in Paris.) I don't know why I had to share that, but I did. XD
