Chatterbox: Down to Earth

I have become

I have become obsessed and infatuated with the sky. Weird right? Lately, I have been spending tons of my time staring up into and composing randomly in my head. But it's so,magnificently beautiful. At every time of the day, too, and it's always changing. Of course, I know the reasons for this, but still, I always have my best ideas between light and dark and at sunsets, and sunrises, and moonrises, and when the stars come out, and pretty much every other time of the day.

Go you, JFB! You've become enlightened! (jk, but still.) The sky rocks beyond all rocking. Here in Nevada we get skies you wouldn't believe, skies practically the color of a blue M&M. They're unbelievable! I love the sky!

I know what you mean... I wholeheartedly believe that the sky is a miracle.

I know what you mean. :) We sometimes

go outside on summer nights and look at

the stars. Thankfully we live just far enough

away from the city lights to do that. XD The

sky is amazing.

That's really cool, JFB! And I know what you mean... I should start doing that too. :)

Interesting... 3 people in a row saying 'I know what you mean'. I don't think that's ever happened before.

Yeah, I know what you mean... just kidding XD

Interesting, very interesting. o.O

I comprehend entirely what you are attempting to convey through the written word. (I'm sorry, I had to say that to end the streak of "I know what you mean"s.) ;) The sky is indeed cool. We've had a *lot* of rain lately (a month and a half straight), though, so I've kind of forgotten what a blue sky looks like... but nevertheless. :)

Ah, yes, Maine has had that rain, too...  But it's been clearing up a bit within the past few days here.  Has it for you?? :):)

Oh, yeah, now that you point that out... I know what you mean. ;)

Wow. Where I live, we're in the middle of an enormous drought! Hey! Has anyone noticed the similarity between the words 'drought' and 'drown'? Maybe they have the same root... they have similar meanings, too. You can die of thirst in a drought, which is like drowning from lack of waater... Sorry. I hope that wasn't trolling!

Stars are quite a miracle. I saw this video, where this guy was talking about stars. So first he compared the size of the earth to the size of the sun. If the earth was the size of a golf ball, the sun would be 15 feet in diameter. (that's three times the length of me.) Enough golf ball earths would fit into it to fill a school bus. Big, but then there's Betelguese (sp?). Betelguese is twice the size of the earth's orbit around the sun! If the earth was the size of a golf ball, Betelguese would be the height of five empire state buildings. Another star I beleive is called Mucifi is so big that if the earth was the size of a golf ball, Mucifi's diameter would be the width of two golden gate briges. And then, I forget a little information here, but the largest star found so far is Canis Majoris, Big dog star. If the earth were a golf ball, Canis Majoris would be the height of Mount Everest! Over two quadrillion earths would fit into it. I wish I could post a link!!!!! I found the video on youtube!!! (After I saw it at a camp.) This is so amazing. And God made all of them too.

That was cool. Atheists have to make up a pretty big story to prove that was an ACCIDENT.

Ahem. Moving right along.

Have you ever seen the sky like, right around a thunderstorm at some times? It's kind of weird - like a yellowish golden streakiness in the sky. It's pretty, but kind of creepy.

The other day I saw a double rainbow!!! It was so cool. :)
