Chatterbox: Down to Earth

I have become

I have become obsessed and infatuated with the sky. Weird right? Lately, I have been spending tons of my time staring up into and composing randomly in my head. But it's so,magnificently beautiful. At every time of the day, too, and it's always changing. Of course, I know the reasons for this, but still, I always have my best ideas between light and dark and at sunsets, and sunrises, and moonrises, and when the stars come out, and pretty much every other time of the day.

I think I know what you mean, Lena.

And I saw a double rainbow before too. XD

It was cool. And that reminds me... the host

of one of our homeschool get togethers at

the library said she saw the end of a rainbow

once, in someones backyard (strange, very

strange). And, to many's disappointment,

there wasn't a pot of gold at the end. XD

My sister saw the end of a rainbow once too. The weird thing is, when you get to the end of a rainbow, it's somewhere else.

You can't see the end of a rainbow, because technically there is no end, it's just a big circle that goes around the earth. Of course, bits of it disappear where there isn't enough moisture, but if the whole thing was visible, you could see, it sits like a halo on the earth. Look at the rainbow in a sprinkler, and you'll notice it doesn't go into the ground.

No gold... LOL. I don't think they go all around the earth, though.

I hope I didn't sound like a know-it-all there... I don't want to. :)

Did she see the pot of gold??

Cool!!

I once did a project in my old school's science fair, where I did scale models on the planets compared to the sun. If only there had been prizes... all the kids thought mine was the coolest, and I'm not trying to sound like a braggart. :) And I took a map of Santa Rosa, which said "if the sun were here, in this auditorium, the other planets would be here" and I had little dots with the names of the planets everywhere. It was awesome. :) (the sun was a big yellow yoga ball)

Hey, if any of you come to old californ-eye-ay *shivers* (about the pronunciation!!! I would love it if you came!!) and you go to San Fran, and you go to the new 'aquarium' (I can't remember what it's called, something conservatory) (quotes because most of it's NOT an aquarium) go to the planetarium there. They have THE most AMAZING movie. :) It would have been worth paying for it just to see that!!!

(Oh, and the roof-top 'garden' is really not all it's cracked up to be) :) :) :)

I'm watching that right now... actually Betelgeuse is the size of 6 empire state buildings.

if anyone wants to watch them look up Louie Giglio:

How Great is or God.

I do that a lot. Isn't it... magnanimous? There aren't word to describe it, really... I just stare at it and feel so... so... I dunno, small, important, unimportant, big, happy, sad, like sighing or laughing, or even crying, and just being awestruck. You know? It sort of opens my eyes a little more, when I've had them closed for too long. I don't mean physically, I mean emotionally, mentally. And it makes me think more, and feel more. I often feel very lonely, but also so very peaceful. And like I need to do more with my life, but also content.

I don't know if that makes any sense, it hardly does to me, I am just saying the truth.

And I want to be part of it. And I know this sounds silly, but if I could fly, just once, I feel as if I'd have the greatest feeling of... freedom, being part of the sky.

I agree, completely. I've had the same feeling.

You know what, methinks you wrote it just about the way I would have. Well put, and that's exactly the way it is. I get it, entirely, because I've felt it myself. Well put.

What happened there? I put "Hi, Ima -EH" for my name and Hiya for the comment! That's weird.
