My first AE!!
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
My first AE!!
My first AE!! Yayy!! I'm so exited!! So I've reviewed my questions thread and Imma gonna make one now!!!!
That might be just a few too many exclamation points.
Shush! I haven't introduced you yet! Okay, here we go. I present to you, Celeste!
Hi everybody, I'm-
Could you wait a minute?! I'm TRYING to post the sheet.
Wait, what sheet? Why didn't I get to fill it out?
Name: Celeste
Age: A G E L E S S - but looks in her mid to early teens
Gender: Female
Speaks in: Bold. I wanted italics, but apperantley Shy Peacock writes in them too much anyway. Hmph.
Crush: None, yet. Although... *looks around* who has an AE with no crush? What are you saying? Are trying to ship me right off the bat?! Mayyybe.
Personality: Curious, optimstic, enthusiatic, talkative but is a good communicator, friendly, loves the arts, impractical, sneezy, imaginitive, creative, sometimes can't focus, overthinks stuff, very emotional, easily stressed, playful, artsy, figety
Appearence: Red hair to her waist (in braid most days) , freckles, eyes the color of the sky in summer out in the country - raidiant blue, likes to wear jeans and galaxy print
Okay, I think that's it.
No, you forgot my dragon. I ride around on a dragon who I can understand perfectly. I can actually understand all animals. I love musicals, and am an amazing singer-- yes, I know. I'm a horrible singer. Sigh. *Sticks tongue out* Ha. I love fantasy, and I like to read. I'm exited to meet the other AEs!!
(March 19, 2018 - 3:16 pm)
Hey, Celeste! Nice to meet you! Here's Onyx, my CAPTCHA/CAPTCHAE.
heya clst nice tmet yoou
(March 19, 2018 - 6:42 pm)
Hey, Celeste! Pretty name. Welcome!
Oh... hi, Celeste. Um, that's an epic dragon. I love dragons. Dragons are so cool. Um... right- I'm Counter. I like, um, muffins and- and basketball... uh... yeah! See you around. *dashes off*
Sorry, Counter can be a bit shy-
Ferme la bouche, Cockleburr!
But I promise he's quite nice when you get to know him!
(March 19, 2018 - 9:09 pm)
*ferme votre bouche
I know enough French to correct people on basic phrases! *throws confetti* Oh, and for clarity, "la" means "the", and "votre" means "your".
While I'm here, I should probably introduce myself. Hello, Celeste! I'm Viola?, and these are my AEs, Sea Glass and Nymph.
Greetings, and welcome to the Chatterbox!
Hey.
So, SG is single, if you don't mind hir being aporagender...
(March 20, 2018 - 7:51 am)
Well, excuuuuse moi, madmoselle Grammer Police! I didn't realize I was in French class! Anyway, 'shut the mouth' is a perfectly fine thing to say, thank-you-very-much.
Haha, I actually do need to work on my French. But I figure I'm doing ok as long as people know what I'm trying to say! So, personally I think the French attempt was successful. I'll keep my grammer in mind next time.
(March 20, 2018 - 9:51 am)
Apperantly Celeste can understand all languages and all creatures, but I can't. Thank's for clarifing, Counter. Although, this reminds me of anytime my English teacher makes a French joke. Like,
TEACHER: "And if you have any done [insert assignment here], you can put them in le pile," *gestures elegantly to messy pile* "Which of course is French for 'the pile',"
EVERYONE IN THE ROOM WHO TAKES FRENCH: "NO IT'S NOT IT'S ACTUALLY NOT WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT"
TEACHER: (Good naturedly) "Geez. It was just a joke. What is it then"
EVERYONE IN THE ROOM WHO TAKES FRENCH: "..." "um" "well"
GIRL SITTING NEXT TO ME (who takes French): *Google Translates it on Chromebook* "It's 'le pile' [pronounces it like 'peel']".
ME: *Sighs*
(March 21, 2018 - 2:57 pm)
Hmm... what is SG like? I'm kinda new, so I haven't seen him much....
(March 20, 2018 - 9:59 am)
Hir, actually, although now it's xyr. Don't worry, that doesn't happen often. The reason it's different now is that it was recently announced that Sea Glass is aporagender, meaning "third gender", and we're still figuring out what works.
SG is very quiet, polite, awkward and sweet. Xe spends a lot of time either in xyr room or at the beach, watching the waves, thinking and collecting things the sea gives up. A worrier and a terrible liar, xe has budding powers of healing and prophecy. Xe also has long, sandy hair and always wears summer clothes with a lot of bracelets. Of course, I don't suppose it matters as much, if you and Celeste aren't comfortable with xyr gender...
(March 20, 2018 - 3:15 pm)
Augh! I meant to type hir!! I'm actually totally fine with xyr gender. I'm still fleshing out Celeste, and soon I'll post an updated sheet.
(March 20, 2018 - 6:07 pm)
Oh, good! It's okay, I mess up, too. Thanks!
(March 21, 2018 - 11:27 am)
Welcome Celeste!!! I'm Jwyn, and here's my AE, Alex! *pulls her out from behind a banner*
Umm.... Hi *blushes and looks down*
She'd be happy to show you around!
I would?
Sure!

Hello Celeste! I’m Tux. Your CBr may (or may not) remember me- or my Æs for that matter! *whispers* They don’t do much with Æs, as in shipping.
You can stop talking now. It’s my turn! After all I am an Æ! Hullo Celeste! I’m Christopher, but you call me Bates, ok? Great, what a dear. Any way, Wonderful to meet you! I don’t read much myself, although dragons now days are quite hip!
You seriously just said the word “hip.” *facepalms* Well, it’s your turn Alfred.
*Bows*A pleasure! But, *whispers* Please don’t mind my brother, Celeste, he’s a bit... over bearing at times, get my drift? Anyway, names Alfred, and I do enjoy a good book and a cup of tea don’t you?
Ugh, British people. Always so refined with their “spots of tea” and fancy accent. I like Americans better, myself.
Your delightful, Chris, you know that? How delightful.
Please guys.
Anywho, hope to see you around Celeste!
(March 20, 2018 - 8:30 pm)
Okay, so I think there's probably going to be multiple drafts of Celeste on this thread. The more major edits I'm making is having her represent a more thoughtful aspect of me. (@Viola?, I've looked at Sea Glass a little more and I acutally really admire your portrayal of xyr. I'm trying to live up to that, I guess? Like, I'm not trying to copy you or anything, I just like the idea of a thoughtful AE.)
Take two!:
Name: Celeste (duh)
Age: A G E L E S S - but looks in her mid to early teens
Gender: Female
Speaks in: Bold.
Crush: SG...? Maybe? Sorry, I don't think we're sure yet.
Personality: Thoughtful, tends to look for metaphors in everything she does (I do that way too much irl XD), optomistic, kinda a budding poet- you weren't supposed to tell them that! I'm not a good one anyway! I could disagree with that. Anyway, curious, enthusiastic, imaginitive, impractical, emotional, easily stressed, overthinks stuff, creative, talkative- but more in a thinking-out-loud way but is still a good communicator, loves music (especially musicals) and can rarely be found without her earbuds
Appearence: Red hair to her waist (in braid most days) , freckles, eyes the color of the sky in summer out in the country - raidiant blue, likes to wear jeans and galaxy print
Powers: Can speak every language and speak to animals
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Random side note: has anyone read Goobye Stranger by Rebecca Stead?
(March 21, 2018 - 8:03 pm)
Thanks! I wouldn't worry, as long as it's inspiration and not directly... basing? Following? Anyway, it's fine.
Celeste and Sea Glass haven't really met yet, have they... Well, that's easily fixed. Let's let them talk for a bit and see if they start crushing! :3
I have not read Goodbye Stranger. What's it about?
(March 22, 2018 - 7:57 am)
Hey, Celeste, you said you were exited to meet the other AEs. One wants to talk to you. Remember Sea Glass? Of course I do. Great. Also, feel free to discuss Goodbye Stranger. Oh yeah, that was a good book. It was-- *shoves out door* Hey! But- I thought- just- ugh. FINE, Shy Peacock, I'll go talk to xym.
So, um... hi, I guess? Nice to meet you? Um. Is that enough plesant small talk? OK then...
Today I wenty sledding, because me and Shy Peacock had a snow day. We mostly slid down one trail. Sledded? Yeah I guess we SLEDDED down one trail until it was mostly dirt, then made a new trail. I fell off my sled once or twice. Once, my sled went down before I did! Although, the snow was so slippery I'm not surprised. Once, when I was trying to get up the hill, I fell. It was so slippery I couldn't even get up! Ooh, i bet I could use that in a poem somewhere. Hmm... I read a poem once where sledding was a metaphor for gaining knowlege. Like, you were ignorant at the top, and you "tobboganed into know". So, if sledding down is gaining knowlege, then what would failing to get up the hill be? Hmm, I'll have to think about that some. Sorry if that was ranty....
Gold star if you knew what poem that was.
