Relationship to other AEs: he's Attina's half-brother, he could be Faranor's distant, distant relation.

Personality: Brave Thank you!, kinda clueless when it comes to shipping what's shipping?, pretty smart, kinda vain. NO I'M NOT!!! i'm just completely AMAZING!!!
Apearence: um... he's 6''5', with short black hair, dark skin, muscly,(he has a flippin' SIX PACK, i wish i had a six pack. Why? to impress Scarlet HECK NO!!! *smirks* Uh-huh. Who is this "scarlet"? and why would Reganam be trying to impress them? Geez, you ARE clueless...) handsome, usually wears a cape and tunic, possibly a helmet too. Are you TRYING to make everyone want to ship their AEs with him? yes. no.

I tried to find the original thread, but that would have taken me hours. There's a version of it in The Ultimate Guide to the CB. Sorry for formatting, I'm copy/pasting it from there.
Abigail's Suggested-And-Totally-Unofficial Alter Ego Guidelines
Alter Ego: An alternate personality one sometimes reverts to usually
to show a different side of oneself; i.e. sarcasm, nastiness, insanity.
a. Amount of AEs should be from one through three (1-3) per person. Recommended amount is 2.
b. Take time to develop your AEs. Create slowly. They're more fun to
write for if they are developed and human. (On a similar subject, avoid
OPness.)
c. Use common sense on which threads to bring your AEs onto. The
subject is usually a good indicator, and the tone of the writing.
d. Read AE posts and get information about existing AEs prior to making one.
e. Be unique! Try to make your AE singled, seperate, and memorable from the rest.
f. If you do not want AEs on a certain thread that you created, state it clearly.
Abi created these rules after the First AE War. (or was it second? Were there two?) They aren't set in stone, of course, but they are heavily recommended. We don't want to have another fight about it. You've recieved some pretty good suggestions about what to do with your other ideas, Catsclaw; I'm not going to force these "rules" on you, but I also don't want you to be making too many AEs too fast. It only causes regret later on.

Oh man, I totally forgot about those! It was during the 2nd AE dispute, when there was some disagreement about how many AEs was the proper amount. Someone proposed that CBers should be allowed to have 2 AEs at most, and I remember that I drove myself crazy trying to decide which of my AEs to get rid of and pulled them all off CB for some time.
(It was before my time, but to my knowledge, the first argument mostly regarded where AEs should be allowed. I don't think we've had any issues with that since then.)
I still agree with those "guidelines" I wrote up there. To me, it doesn't seem right and is probably impossible to forbid people from making over 3 AEs. However, after a point, it gets really difficult to control and for others to keep track of. (Sometimes with three I find myself getting confused!)
I feel that having 3 or more AEs can work, but only if you take time to develop them, make them unique and distinct and refined. With a lot of hastily created AEs, their personalities blend together and they tend to melt into certain archetypes with few unique interests. It's likely better and easier for yourself and others to have less than three.
Finally, let's remember to keep this discussion polite and respectful! The fact that we can share our opinions on topics such as this is a lovely thing, but we need to do it in a mature manner in order to avoid fighting, which is never pleasant.
