Languages!Hi
Languages!
Hi! What languages does everybuggy speak/learn?
I am currently learning Korean (Annyeonhuseyo) which I honestly find very difficult. Saying hello and thank you would probably be the extent of my skill. I tried Italian once and thoroughly enjoyed it (bonjourno) and next year I will be doing Japanese. I already know a few words in Japanese, since I travelled to Japan not long ago.
Anyway, I am curious to know about you guys.
RANDOM QUIZ QUESTION: What is the meaning of this word, and what language does it come from?
Bechá
(don't look it up on the internet it's cheating!)
Arigato, and enjoy!

I know some Japanese from anime, Portuguese, and I am currently in Spanish 2. I'm improving my grammar in Portguese, and am trying to learn Norwegian. A lot of my family history comes from Norway, and I have a family tree in Norwegian that I can't yet read, but I know that our family dates back to the Vikings. There is a statue of someone I am related to in Norway.
I'd love to go to Japan! My friend moved there a long time ago and every once in a while, she sends things back.
@Lilypad: I just thought of this, but do you have an Australian accent? Now that I think about it, I'm assuming you do, if you were born in Australia.

Yeah, I guess I do. It's very obvious compared to British or American accents, but it's not as heavy as some people I know. Green Mango, what countries have you travelled to before?

Hmm. That's intresting to think about. I suppose it would be very obvious, but I hadn't thought of it before.
I've been to Norway, Brazil, Canada, and the U.K. (and obviously the U.S.). What about you?

yeah, i have a couple of friends whose dad is austrailian theirs is'nt very obvious either.

I can speak English (obviously), and I'm learning Spanish and Hebrew.

I know English and French, and I'm currently learning a little bit of Italian.

I speak English, can read and somewhat translate Hebrew, and I'm learning French. I want to become fluent in Hebrew one day. I can sort of speak it, but not very well.

I can speak English, and I know a few phrases in Spanish, Hebrew, French (because of ballet), and Italian (because of music). I take Latin in school, so it helps me to figure out a lot of words in romance languages. I don't speak Vietnamese fluently, but I can understand quite a lot of it, and also get the gist of what my relatives are saying from their tone of voice/context. I do know a TON of names for food, though. :P

I speak English (obviously), and I'm taking French in school. I can read Hebrew, and my dad and grandparents speak it, so I can understand a lot of it, but not speak it. My other grnadparents speak Russian, and I know a few words of that but not much. I also took Spanish in elementary school, so I know a bit of that, but I don't really remember it.

I speak English, and am trying to teach myself French. I also know a few frases in Spanish, like hello, goodbye, where is the bathroom, that sort of thing. Music lessons have been really going in-depth about learning Italian terms, so I know what they mean, but cannot pronounce most of them. It's easier to read them, than to speak them.

I'm fluent in English and I'm "learning" French (I have a CD course but I always forget to listen to more of it), and I know a few disparate words of Japanese, Norwegian, and various other languages.

I’m fluent in English and Japanese, and am almost 50% fluent in French. I might start learning Klingon too, just for fun. XD I am also working in Korean. I don’t think it’s as hard as Chinese.

I can speak English, I'm learning Spanish, and I can speak and listen to Cantonese fluently, but can't read or write it.

I speak English, some Spanish, and can understand-but-not-speak Polish.

@GreenMango
I have been to Japan and Singapore. I travel around Australia a lot, though. (I've been to Tasmania, if that counts).
Does anyone speak Pig Latin?
