Please pray. There is a forest fire near our home, and we are on prevacuation. I'm really worried.
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this, Brooklyn Newsie! Yes, we'll keep you, your family, and everyone in the path in our thoughts and prayers that the fire will be put out soon or at least turn away from people and their homes. Which state? I heard about Colorado this morning, but I know there are several other fires, too. Please keep us posted.

Admins, I am in Colorado, as a matter of fact. SEVEN FIRES around the state. Our fire is about 87 acres. It's on a mountain, and near a lot of beetlekill (trees killed by pine beetles) so it's growing instead of shrinking. We've had helicopters flying overhead for the past few days. It hasn't rained in ages, and the wind keeps blowing.
Oh. Colorado is such a beautiful state. Many CBers are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. We hope you can stay put, that it will rain soon.

WOW REALLY!!!??? OMAGOSH I THINK I MIGHT LIVE BY YOU! Yes, I live in Colorado too, and YES THERE IS A FIRE RIGHT BY MY HOUSE! Well, not right by. We're on the other side of the county (which is just over a mountain and a few miles west). Is it the Peak 2 fire? I heard they had ALL of Breck on pre-evacuation, and Peak 7 already evacuated. you kno, this is pretty ironic, because it's covered in snow 9 months of the year. I think the fire actually melted the rest of it...? And to think it snowed on the 4th last year...

OHMICOWSPOTATOES, I LIVE IN YOUR SAME AREA! Yep, it's the Peak 2 fire. I'm near the high school, so we have helicopters flying overhead all the time!

*gives big hug* Oh, Brooklyn Newsie my friend you are in my thoughts and prayers....that you, your family, your home, and your neighbors, (as well as everyone in Colorado really) stay safe. It must be very worrying, and I'm sorry you have to deal with that fear. Keep us posted, and remember that I and everyone else are always here for you. Like Ashlee said, take deep breaths.
