Hey, Im Amber.

And that's Amber. He's a guy and hes sort of chilled and relaxed. He's kind of nerdy, but nice all the same. Very polite...unlike some AEs I could name.

The AEs stared up at the skyscraper in front of them in wonder and disappointment.

It reached into the sky, with every window reflecting a cloud. It's inside was hidden and the doors were closed--strange.  The doors were midevial,  and fit with iron hinges that gleamed in the sunlight.

The doors swept open and the AE Enlistor stepped out.

A silver Phantom of The Opera style mask covered his or her face and a black hood over his or her head. A black cloak dropped to his/her feet and he or she clutched a magnifying glass in his or her left hand. 

"Welcome!" The voice of the strange person cried. 

Some AEs mumbled and nudged themselves.

"I am here to give you opportunity to travel my halls and use my labs for the GREATER GOOD--AEs!!"

He or she swept them a graceful bow.

The AEs just stared.

"The crime labs are at the seventh floor. The offices--why are you groaning? Sitting at a desk all day is FUN--are at the sixth. The dung--BASEMENT  is off limits. Bouncy house and pie floor is on the fifth. Deadly lasers and weapons are on the fourth. Interrogation chambers are on the third. THAT'S IT!  I know exactly what to do! Follow me, everyone!"

The AEs exchanged quizzical glances. They weren't entirely liking this so far--except for the fifth floor. Cooped up  at a skyscraper all day? Eek.

They finally followed The Enlistor to the third floor.

It was a series of white cubicles with doors, each containing a table, two chairs, and a large flashlight.

"Pair up with an enemy--why don't we just practice interrogation techniques--" The Enlistor started to say, but was interrupted by INSERT GENERIC RINGTONE HERE.

"I have to go--STAY HERE! My staff--they showed up and volunteered for the job sometime after I announced we were going to investigate AE mysteries, and they each wear masks, oh, and one has this queer accent. For some odd reason they didn't want any job hours except when you're here--ANYWAYS!  I gotta go, will be back soon!" The AE Enlistor sped off.

ROSARIO THE REDPANDABLOSSOM:  I don't know if this is the best idea. I mean, I agree with Grey. Pitting AEs against each other is not going to help us. And allowing AEs to choose who is "suspicious?" That sounds dangerous. It could lead to old prejudices.

SRIRACHA: And that "interrogation" sounds a little like torture.

Malachite watched the masked, oddly accented AE Enlistor try to sweep their cloak dramatically as they stalked out of the room, barely avoiding tripping over it.

<Hmm, offices. Most <extroverted> AEs wouldn't go in the offices. So, that would, I suppose be the best place to start! Also, I suppose I count as suspicious. After all, what AE isn't?>

She caught the eye of Estella, who walked over to a small and coincidentally convenient reading niche for two. 

"I saw your questions when we started. I definitely agree that this is too fishy to let go. I mean... to turn all suspicious AEs in is basically a command to turn us all against each other. What do you say to finding other allies, then investigating this entire skyscraper, floor by floor? Together, with no treachery. If you know any AEs we can trust unconditionally, then invite them over! I'm always open."
