Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Oregon has to

Oregon has to be the best state!! A lot of people here live in Oregon, and I think it's about time that someone made a thread about it!

P.S. Non-Oregonians:  It's pronounced Or-e-GUN, NOT or-e-GONE.

Actually, I think NJ is a pretty boring state.

- Adina, the Londaner by heart . Go, UK! (I've never actually been there though. *tear tear*)

Wow! An Oregon thread! Yes, I live here, and it's amazing!

(though rather rainy on the coast. But it's nice and hot right now! woo!)

GO OREGON! Amazing how some people forget about us. For example, a friend was in Kansas and saw a weather report on TV with a map of the US and California spread all the way across OR and WA! This was on TV! And whenever we are in Tennessee and say we are from Oregon, they say, " That's up by California, right?"  Ugh...

Tennesseans rock, too! And Mainahs, and Nebraskans, and Coloradoans...

I've only been to Oregon once, but it seemed nice!  I went to a HUGE park in Ashland.  It was a really cool place, but I can NEVER remember the name of it, even though my mom constantly tells me.  Anybody know what it's called?

Okay, just saying. Let's talk about Oregon. I've never been there.

Thank goodness I've been pronouncing it right ;D Sooo, I don't know all that much about Oregon, really. Seeing that I live on the other side of the country... Anyways, I do know that it's supposed to be a pretty state, and I've always wanted to go to the west, so I'm automatically fascinated by it...

I've heard two people now talking about how their state is pronounced. I have my own state paranoia: I wish people would not confuse Washington State with DC!!!

I bet that gets annoying,Emily. I kid in my class thought that the president lived in WASHINGTON STATE. The crazy thing is next fall my class is  going to be in 6TH grade. My class,is,um,well,it has it's quirks.:) We'll leave it at that

I think that all 50 states have their own cool stuff, but Oregon is really awesome! I've lived here for most of my life, and I love it. It's so pretty! You can always see mountains, trees, and flowers. :)

Isn't there any ome on this thread (like me, for example) that's from New England? Like, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, Vermont, or New Hampshire? We were the first states, you know. And Massachusetts is where the story of Pocahontas took place. These are some of the best places to go, thanks to Boston baked beans*, clam chowder**, and lobster***.

*Yum!
