Clouded Leopard
~~
Blinking my eyes with sleepiness, I heave myself out of the car stretch, my mouth gaping into a yawn. Urgh... maybe it hadn't been the best idea to fall asleep in the car. Too late now. Slinging my bag over my shoulder, I turned and headed for the main buildings, tiny pebbles scattering from my feet as I walk towards it. I can already hear chattering from the main hall-- some other people must already be here. Hesitantly I stop in front of the door, wating for someone to appear.
A few moments pass, then a flustered-looking woman, appearing to be about 18 years old, dashes out clutching papers in her arms. "Hello!" she says, casting a quick glance back over her shoulder at the others in the building. "I'm Janette. Nice to meet you, camper!"
"...hi," I say, always a bit awkward around new people.
"What's your name?" she asks, clicking a pen and looking up at me. Her eyes quickly travel to my tail and ears and slitted eyes, and I feel self-conscious as she does a quick scan of me.
"Clouded Leopard," I say tersely. "But... some people just me Cloud, or Clouded." Janette pauses for a moment, then shrugs, muttering something like 'names around here'. I began to edge towards the building, desperate to escape the silence, when Janette's head perks up.
"Oh! Yes, er-- Cloud, you may go join the other campers. Enjoy your stay here!" she chirps, gesturing for me to go. Sighing, I head for a building with a sign detailing 'Cricket Cabin' in cheerful yellow letters. Closing my eyes for a second to prepare for all the people I'm about to meet, I push the door open and step inside.

Dandelion
~~~~~~~~~~
I wave to my Mom as she drives away in her blue car.
"Have a great time, I love you", she calls as she pulls out of the parking lot, waving.
"Good bye" I called back, "See you in 3 weeks." I turn around, nervously, to wait for someone to come. I look around at the many forks in the road, each with there own sign to a different part of the camp. Library, campfire, lake, it looked like fun. I take in all in when a girl, who looked about 18 or 19 hurried over.
"Welcome to camp CB, my name is Janette." I look down at my shoes and shly say,
"i'm Dandelion." She marks a few things on her clipboard and then says, I'm going to be your cabin leadear this summer. We'll have a great summer togethr!" I really hoped it would be the great summer she was promising only on teh first day of camp. I had been to other over nigth camps, but I had never been to camp CB before. A wave fo homesickness crashed over me. I fought to look eager to begin this summer in camp.
"Ok", she says, waking me from my day dream, "your cabin is right down teh path to the left. Its called cricket cabin. Some of your bunk matees are already there." She points to a small, but nice looking biege cabin down the rocky path. I start dragging my heavy suitcase towards towards the cabin and finally I reach it, and set my large suitcase down, breathing a sigh of relief. A few campers are already in teh cabin, some unpackign and others reading in teh small library. I take a deep breath as I look around my new surroundings and wonder, "is this really goning to be the summer of a lifetime?"
~~~~~~~~~~~
So, for my first day at camp. Sorry for any grammr mistiakes, theres probably a whole bunch.

Oh, by the way, I won't be able to post during the schoolweek, so you guys can do what you want with me (me the RP charrie). And BookBug, yes you may join.
Me~
I mumble a hello to all the people who are flooding into the cabin. I liked it better when it was empty and quiet.
All their names sound familiar, though. Like they're from the CB--the CB! I jerk my head up from my knees. My eyes sting.
Everyone looks over at me. I open my mouth, and a croak comes out. I blush and clear my throat. "Sorry...." My voice sounds small. "Has anyone heard of the CB? It's--"
My voice is cut off by a clamor of voices. "THE CB?" "I thought the names sounded...." "Chirp chirp Cricket!"
"Yeah. I'm Leafpool. I guess if you go on the CB, then you probably know me...." My voice chokes up again and I burst into tears. "I w-want to go home!" I sob.

Bluebird~
"We will settle this argument when I get back." I joke. My sister and I had been debating who would win in a fight between Antman and Spiderman (Antman, duh) almost the entire way to Camp CB. She almost signed up with me, but in the end decided she was too young to go. "Bye, dad. Bye, Lydia." I say.
I step out of my dad's cream-colored Malibu with my bag slung over my shoulder. It has a little bird stitched into the sky-blue fabric with gold thread, and contains everything I need for camp. Clothes, toiletries, my sketchbook, a haphazard assorment of art supplies, and a deck of cards. I also packed my mom's polaroid camera and lots of film to take pictures. Homesickness won't be a problem for me- if anything, it will be nice to have a break!
I walk up to the camp gate. It's wooden and has the words "Camp CB" on it in blue letters. Well, at least I know I'm in the right place. I step through. Unfortunately for me, there's a girl standing there, and I almost crash right into her.
I step back, pushing my glasses up. "Woah, sorry! I didn't know you were there!"
She smiles. Her shirt is green with a cricket on it, it must be the camp logo. "No problem. Hello, I'm Janette. Welcome to camp!"
I look around. There are four signs that say, 'LAKE, Campfire, Library, and Cabins' "I guess I'm supposed to go there," I say, pointing to the sign with small spiky letters.
"Yep!" She replies, pointing to one of the cabins. "If you have any questions, ask me. I'm you cabin leader. Oh, and once everyone gets here, we'll tour the camp. Your can get settled in for now!"
I nod. The cabin she pointed to looks happy and comfortable- I can check bad cabin off of my worries list. When I open the door and peek inside, I see four girls already there. One of them looks about to cry. I plop my bag onto the second bed, going through and messily tossing things onto the bunk until I find what I'm looking for- my sketchpad. What to draw? I decide to sketch a little cricket, in honor of the camp. I know already that I'll love it here.

~Nianad
I wave goodbye to my parents and sister and try to swallow a lump in my throat. A more pressing problem draws me from watching them pull away. I had better try to find my cabin soon so I can put these heavy bags down. I head to what looks like a big wooden gate with the words 'Camp CB' on it. I assume that this is the entrance and start to walk down the path when I nearly run into a tall girl, who looks to be about 18 or 19.
"Whoa, sorry!" I say, back pedaling as much as I can when weighed down by two heavy suitcases and a small backpack. "I--didn't see you there."
The girl smiles cheerily and says, "Hi! I'm Janette!"
"I'm Nianad," I say nervously. Janette looks at me weirdly and mutters something about names and then launches into a talk about the camp and its four areas, et cetera. I listen while she leads me to the cabins, and only stop her at one point:
"You have a LIBRARY here?" Wow. Okay, now coming to this camp is definitely worth it. Maybe I can go hide out in there after I unpack my things.
"Yes we do!" She says. "We support creativity here."
"Here we are," she says, stopping in front of a cabin which is covered in yellow paint and looks very sunny. "This is Cricket Cabin," she says, opening the door widely. I take the hint, and, despite the chatter of voices coming from the cabin which almost makes me want to turn around and flee, I go in.
Most of the girls look older or the same age as me, and there are about six of them. The room, however, looks incredibly inviting. I might explore it later when it's less crowded. I pick a bottom bunk which looks unclaimed and rest rest my suitcases next to it. My backpack I plop on the bed so I can unpack my doodlebook and take it with me to the library, but as I do so, one of the girls, a pretty one with long brown hair, says, "Hi! I'm Embers in the Ashes, or Embers, or Ashes. Depending on my mood."
"Um," I manage. I am not used to being singled out. "I'm... Nianad." Wait, what? Embers in the Ashes?
"I'm from the CB," I say, voicing my thought before I can think better of it.

Dandelion ~~~~~~~
I look around the fairly large cabin at my new surroundings. Two girls are already in the library corner. Collapsing with a book seemed like the perfect idea to relax after the long, tiring trip here. I walk over to the back corner and select a book. What's your name, a girl asks me.
"Dandelion", I say. "Dandelion?, she repeats, a surprised looked on her face.
"I'm Leafpool." Wait, Leafpool, I knew that name. Another girl introduces as Bluebird. I know all these names. But from where did they come from? Suddenly it hit me. We were all from the Cb! I struggled to ask the question on my mind. After a long moment of silence, I asked, "Have you ever heard of Cricket mag or the chatterbox??"

Sorry for the charrie control and grammar mistakes.

"Of course!" I say, pulling one issue out of my bag, "I never leave home without one! But, not that many people know what that is. Heck, the only reason my friends know what it is is because I needed to rant about Kyngdom to someone and no one in my school seems to be even slightly interested in writing- But wait, you probably don't even know what I'm talking about, do you? It's okay, I'm used to it."
"Um, actually," responds Leafpool. Then she pulls one out of her bag, too. Another Cricket magazine.

Hobbies: Plays the cello.
Other: Can be seen often with her earbuds.

I take out one earbud and look up right as the last girl to Cricket Cabin walks in. She introduces herself as Nianad as she and Ember converse. I flump back down onto my bed and put my earbud back in, switching the song to Sky Full of Stars.
But right as I do, the lunch bell sounds, and we all get up and head out of the cabin. I stick with Ember, and our entire cabin heads to the cafe, where there is a lot of bustling with everyone.
But even though it may be slightly chaotic, I can already tell that we'll all have a great time.

Me~
My mom helps me lug my trunk into the cabin. A girl is crying, and some others are talking. "Bye Mom!", I say. I settle my stuff onto an empty bunk. The bottom bunk. I am terribly afraid of spiders. The crying girl stops, and looks at me. She smiles weakly. "H-hi. I'm Leafpool. I get a little homesick sometimes.." "That's alright," I respond. "I miss my dog already. My name is Pepper Star. So, what activities will you be doing?" She sniffles. "Well, I like photography and art.."
One friend already. Not too bad.

Sure, you can join!

I'm really sorry I haven't posted but I've been sick.
Me~
When I get to camp it feels like everyone's already there. I say goodbye to Mum and Dad and then they leave. I start tring to find my cabin, hoping I'm not the last one here. Then a counseler walks up to me.
"Hi I'm Janette your consuler," she says.
"I'm Emma," I say, then add "But people call me Satin"
She points me in the direction of Cricket Cabin and I hurry there. I get ther and I'm dissapointed to see I'm the last person there. Then I realize that a few of the girls are each holding up a copy of Cricket.
"What are those?" I ask.
" A magazine you probly haven't heard of," one girl says.
Is shake my head and dump my bag on the last empty bunk. I open my bag and pull out my latest issue of Cricket.
(February 5, 2017 - 9:00 pm)
I put my book down on the small bedside table and look up. Wow! There are so many girls in here now. Last time I checked, only one other person had been in here. The homesick girl. I had gotten so swept up in the story that I hadn't even noticed when these people came in. I must have seemed so antisocial. Great first impression... I hop off of the bed and roll from my heels to my toes, stretching upward. Near one of the beds, there is a small cluster of girls chattering excitedly. I walk over to them. They're all holding Cricket magazines.
"You read Cricket?" I ask them. They turn towards me.
"You too?" One girl with medium length brown hair and blue eyes asks me. I smile.
"Yes!"
"Do you go on the CB?" My eyes widen in amazement.
"Yes! What's your name?"
"Satin." She says.
The other girls introduce themselves as Leafpool, Nianad, Embers in the Ashes, and Dandelion. I continued to talk about Cricket with them. I could make more introductions later.
This certainly was going to be a fun summer. The lunch bell sounded and Janette walked in to lead everybody to the dining hall.
