Hahahaha!...

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Hahahaha!...

Hahahaha!

...

I haven't heard enough of that recently.

What with the election, everyone has been so depressed. Honestly, I can't say I'm happy about this. The opposite, in fact. But--please. The CB is a place to go when you need encouragement, a friend, or just a bit of cheer. And really-- if you put this into perspective, nothing'll happen for another two months, until he gets inagurated. Also, it's fine compared to the Great Depression, World Wars I and II, and even terrorist attacks. All of those are bad, and you know what America did? Survive. And learn from its lesson. But! *hem*

Also not the point of this thread.

Since I haven't seen nearly any of my buds (in real life or over the internet) smile, or joke today, I wanted to start a thread where you shared any funny stories, jokes, or anything else to make someone smile! Remember- even if only one person reads or comments on it, it's one person that you've made feel better.

I'll post a few of my own anectodotes once this posts.

(As a PS- I'm not saying we can't be worried. It's human to be afraid or sad. But that doesn't mean we can't balance it out with nice things, too. Like puppies. I love my dog, he's such a sweetheart. See? My dog made me feel better. Good job, Dex. *hugs him* Go hug your dog. If you don't have a dog, hug your cat. Or pet your bird or hamster or even little sibling.)

Make someone, even if you don't know them, feel good today! if they're wearing a shirt with a fandom you like on it, point it out! Compliment them on their hair! The more specific you re, the better it feels.

Good idea, Clouded! I don't really have anything vastly amusing to say, so I'll just talk about Halloween and sugar highs.

This Halloween, I was from the hunger games. I had boots and a dress and it was really fun! I went trick or treating with a bunch of friends, and was on an EXTREME sugar high. Near the end of tricker treating, nobody had guessed who I was, so I started saying "May the odds be ever in your favor!" All I got was strange looks.  :P So, finally, my friends and I who had, for the most part, not been recognized, decided to sing who we were in ascending order. Unfortunately, by the time we decided to do that, trick or treating was over. Ah, well.

Also, one other thing that happened was we went up to a house where a bunch of good-natured elderly people were sitting around some candy. One guy went "Ok, here's how it works. You give us some of your candy, and we'll give you some of ours." He was joking of course. My friend went "No." at the exact moment I went "As long as it's not chocolate!"

So, yeah, while that may not be wildly amusing, it's all I've got at the moment.

And, also, let me just say that while I am disappointed at our new president, we'll be ok. We've had bad presidents before, and we'll be ok through this one. I'm honestly surprised that the American people could even bring us to this point.

But this is the CB! As Clouded said, this is the place where we go for encouragement and an escape from what just happpened.

Love you guys.

Hey! I didn't know you disliked chocolate too! It's been forever since I've met someone who hasn't extolled the virtues of chocolate candy to me. I had a lot of fun with my buds on Halloween, too. As my friends and I were going along, I met a little boy who was giving out candy with his parents, and when he gave us a few pieces his parents said "Give them a handful!" So he reached in, with his hand spread out as wide as he could, and gave us as much as he could hold. It was pretty adorable, and eventually his parents had to go 'Okay, that's enough'. So cute!!

Have you ever tried eating choclate while writing? Or reading? I find that all candies are best enjoyed when doing something else.

I dunno, I've just never been partial to the taste. I find it too bitter. Weirdly, though, I LOOOOOOVE the smell of chocolate. Baking brownies? *drools* Yuuuuumm. I also really like Oreos and white chocolate.

@Admins are you planning to do something again like kyndom in the future?

I don't know. But remember: there's still Kyngdom on Chatterbox.

Good idea! Let's see...what do I have that could make someone smile? Ooh, I know- describe my cat with her catnip.

PART 1 OF CAT CRAZIES

So my cat's name is Brooklyn, and she's black and white and SUPER cute. She also has extra toes like thumbs on her paws, and it looks like she's wearing mittens. I think it's called polydactyl or something. (Maybe I can post a picture of her today or tomorrow; I just remembered that on my family's iPad you can take a picture to include with a post, there's an option for that. It has a really bad camera, though.)

She loves catnip, and recently I made her a little sack out of fabric and filled it with catnip. Here is how she usually uses the catnip:

When I toss it to her, if she's interested, she'll run and get it and then stomp on it with her back foot, kinda kick it. (I could give the catnip to her and then take a picture.) Then she'll usually roll over onto her side and hold the catnip sack in her front paws while she licks and licks and licks it. And sometimes she'll use it as a pillow and kind of just stay there with a contented look on her face.

If we give it to her after 6:00 p.m. or so, though, she'll get all crazy that night and bolt around the hallway in the second floor. It freaks me out. ;)

Maybe tomorrow I'll talk about how she likes to chew on plastic bags...yeah. Bleck.
