Computer Virus.

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Computer Virus.

Computer Virus.

Hey. So, my computer got a virus. I won't go into details, but after lots of hassle, we finally took it to an expert. The virus was from Anime Creator we all use. When I play it, I upload the virus unknowingly to my computer. So I won't be able to make people anymore and I thought I'd just tell y'all.

Thanks for letting us all know!

Whoa, thanks for letting us know!

I have a question for you.

Lots of different websites use that same avatar creator, mega anime avatar creator. It orginated from the Rinmaru website, so that's where I usually use it. Did you use it on Rinmaru, or some other website? Some examples are: Girls Go Games, Azalea's Dolls, Dress Up Games, Doll Divine, Pkay Games Girls. Those all use the exact same Mega Anike Avatar Creator.

Please tell me which you used.

I use Doll Divine. I use it on my Chrome Book. My Chrome Book, I don't really know about viruses--but my other BETTER AND MORE AMAZINGER computer that can ACTUALLY HAVE GOOD APPS is really uptight about viruses and could probably detect it.

That must've been a nightmare for you. I'm sorry.

I use a chromebook as well, and most people say the OS is structured in a way that makes it nearly impossible to get a virus.

@_______:

Does the virus have any effects, e.g., file deletion, graphical errors, programs not running, etc.?

It makes my computer's internet unstable and some websites it does not allow me to open the page. It makes internet very slow and liable to exit out on me. AS far as i know, there were no file deletions or graphical errors.

Okay, bit of a correction. I downloaded the art and game to my computer, thus downloading the virus. I used Rimamur games, or however you spell it. Rinmaru or something.

So we're fine if we don't download anything?

I suppose so. But the complicated way my computer works, which I don't even try to comprehend, is that I can't play the game unless I download it. Too bad. Other computers will probably be different, and It seems no one else has this problem, so y'all should be fine.

Oh, I see. That's good to know, and I shall forever be paranoid of that creator now.

I'm no computer expert, but I'm pretty sure that you can't get a virus unless you actually download the software. If you do, that'll edit everything in your computer, probably giving you a virus. If you just play the game on the browser, it shouldn't do anything.

This may sound super-weird, but I've always wanted to see what a virus does, out of curiosity (but no I'm not gonna download it)
