Chatterbox: Down to Earth
*deep breath*
*deep breath*
I'm telling you guys something I haven't told anybody yet. My family and I have known since April 2nd. It's a good thing, don't worry! I've just been keeping it a secret so long....
I haven't even told my best friend.
Although I guess Maple might find out if she comes on.
It's not that big of a deal, but it is to me.
Everyone will figure out on Monday at school....
Okay.
I'll tell you.
*deep breath again.*
*pause for dramatic effect*
I'M GETTING GLASSES.
*screams*
I've never kept a secret that long! And yeah, I know, glasses don't really mean anything important. But they do to me! And I'm really really happy excited fantabulous at the moment! Because in two days I will officially look like what I am! A nerd! YAY!!!

Yaaaaaayy!
Welcome to the glasses-wearing side. We've been expecting your Appearence.

Yay! Are you going to get square lenses or oval lenses or something else? I have oval lenses for my glasses that I hardly ever wear. I wish I had square lenses. *sigh* But yay! You're getting glasses! So happy for you Savvy!

I used to have glasses. Not anymore. But yeah I do think that it took a little for the kids in my class to realize that I was a nerd because of the no glasses. But now everyone definitely knows that because today a kid was saying "Parker is the brains" over and over(and really annoying me) but anyways congrats!

Congratulations!! Is that what you say when people get glasses? Oh well. Whatever. Anyway, getting glasses is really fun. I've got this pair of big square red ones that are super nerdy, and it's great. Mei, you don't need glasses to be a nerd, nor do you have to be a nerd if you have glasses, but some people (including me) like wearing nerdy glasses, and having them be nerdy. It's fun. It makes me feel good about having glasses. I don't know about you, but I think that's a good thing.

Welcome to the Glasses Club! They're great, you can actually SEE! Congrats! Glasses-ness for life!
@Mei: Stereotypes aren't good, but they exist. Denial of them will not change the fact that they exist. While Savvy might know that she is a nerd with or without glasses, other people might look at her differently, and she can't control that, so it's unessecary to repremind Savs.

One pair is square-ish and the other is rectangle-ish... I don't know. I can post pictures when I get them tomorrow. I haven't seen them since April 2nd when I picked them so...
(April 22, 2016 - 6:37 pm)
Congrats!!! That is so exciting!! Do you know what color of glasses you are getting?
(April 22, 2016 - 9:30 pm)
AWESOME!!! I bet you'll love them! Nerd time;)

Cool! My brother got glasses when he was three or four, and then I wanted them really badly. Now I don"t really care as much, but I still think it would be really cool to be able to pick out the frames I would want. I have 20/20 vision though, so I don't think I'll be getting glasses.

Savvy44x, congratulations! :D :D :D It's not at all difficult having glasses-- the only problem I've ever had is losing them periodically, and that's just because I am only too good at losing things.
Glasses can actually be really cute-- they can compliment and enhance one's eye-and-facial shape.
Soon you'll be looking at a brighter, clearer world! ;) :)

YAAAAYYY!!!!! Welcome to the club, Savvy!
...Wait, is there a club?
You know what, I'm sure somewhere in the world there is a club for people with glasses!
Welcome to the club!
(April 23, 2016 - 5:19 pm)
I have the biggest glasses! They are large, square black frames. I go for the cute look, lol. My brother will look at me sometimes when I am goofy, or a squeal and he'll go:
"You are so cute."
That's the goal!
(April 23, 2016 - 6:34 pm)
This is going to sound very immature and stupid wow, not even me? Nice... But awesome! When are you getting them?!? I can't wait to see them!

That's so great Savvy! Seeing clearly is amazing. Even if it's a mild prescription. I am farsighted, and have had glasses since I was 2 with a subscription of 6. It's painful to take them off.
(April 24, 2016 - 3:54 pm)
Horray! I have glasses too- my prescription is -5.
