I almost cried when I saw this, and I don't even like cats. I'll pray for you, Joss.

That is so, so sad. I'm really sorry. I lost one of my cats once, we had to put him down because he had cancer. You'll get through it. We waited about a year to get a new cat because we wanted to remember our old cat, but the new cat helped, and I love her. You will never forget your old cat, but after a while it won't be as hard. If you have to put him down, like I did, they will make sure he is comfortable and he won't be hurt. I'm very sorry for you and your cat, and I hope this helps you feel better.

Thank you everyone for being so supportive. I knew I could count on you to make me feel better. You guys are so awesomeazing! I was at a friends house and my overprotective mom said I couldn't have a sleepover there like everyone else, so she came and took me home early. When we got home, one of our cats was eating wet food and the other one wasn't. Both of our cats are in love with wet food, so we got really worried. Apparently Bear was hiding in the closet all day, but he didn't show signs of sickness before. When we got there, he was sprawled out on the ground and weakly meowing. My mom kept saying he was waiting for me to die since I spend so much time with him. We wrapped him in a blanket and put him on a mat. I spent all night in the mat with him but he was paralyzed. He kept having these spastic movements all night. In the morning, he was still alive. I waited with him all morning until at like 1:40 PM our other cat, Avalanche, started meowing mournfully for him. Bear lifted up his head to answer him, but he could barely make a sound and he started foaming at the mouth. We took him to the vet and we had to put him down. We buried him in our backyard and we have a plaster with his paw prints on it as a reminder of him. We started looking at other cats online, but I don't think I'll love any of them as much as I loved Bear.

That is too sad. Too sad for anyone. Too sad for even me and that's saying something. My heart would break if I watched that happen. I could possibly, quite literally, die. Look in a rescue shelter for a cat. Get a kitten. Or whichever cat clicks with your family. I'm glad that the CB can be here for you, even if not in real life. We will always, always be here if you need us. I have the most sympathy, however, to Avalanche. Thin of when no body was at the house and how Avalanche only had Bear to keep her/him company. Her/his world must've been turned upside down. Were they littermates?

Shifting Sands would like you to know that there is a special area in the Continuity reserved for cats. Apparently, it's a nice afterlife. I hope your cat goes there if Shifting isn't making it up :3

...I'm not very good at this.

Joss, I'm so, so, sorry. Here, have this warm blanket, a book, and a hug. Feel better! Your cat will always love you, even in its death.

Josh..... I'm so sorry. I'd literally cry my eyes out if that happened to me...... I don't really know what to say except that I'm so sorry and I hope that you find another cat soon. I don't even want to imagine what it would be like to lose Francis or Edith. *hugs kitties* DON'T YOU DARE GO ANYWHERE, YOU ADORABLE KITTIES! But if you want to go comfort Joss, give him a hug and some cheesecake for me, won't you?

Oh Joss, I am so terribly sorry for you.  Pet's have a way of capturing poor hearts and making us smile even in the worst of times.  It's hard when you lose someone who's been around for what seems like forever.  I too am going through the process of losing a beloved pet, the very first one that was actually mine.  I want you too know that you will always have your memories of your cat and that he'll always have a special part of your heart.

No!  Thank goodness.  Buttercup, my bunny isn't doing so well.  She is 10 going on 11 which is ancient for a rabbit.
