I've lost a cat before, and it was terrible. He got bit by a snake. He was only two...
Anyways, he's going to a better place, where there are feathers and no disturbances for naptimes. I'm sorry, but just keep that in mind and you'll feel better.
I just got a new cat, and I think you should ask for one too. It really helps, and soon, you'll only remember the good stuff about your cat. You will never forget about him, but they will be good memories.
I'm sorry if that seemed insensitive, talking like that, but I just want to help.

Aw, Joss that's horrible! I've lost two cats in my life, Fluffy (Got run over) And Oreo.(Ran away because my sister left a window open.) I'm not good at comforting, so I just hope it isn't too hard.

Bear sounds like a really sweet kitty. I can barely imagine losing a kitty again. I understand how you feel -- you get a cat, love it, it gets really old, but you think it's going to live forever, or as long as you do, anyway. Then it dies. And when it dies, it's not there anymore. No fuzzy back to pet, no sweet rumbling purr, no adorable positions that it sleeps in- unless- UNLESS- you get a kitten. Then you can have so much cuteness every day, you can teach it and watch it discover the things about life. It's amazing, really, watching a kitten. Just make sure that it's old enough to be away from its mother. And that it's not too attached to its siblings if you only want one cat. Just remember that every kitten becomes a cat in an extremely short amount of time. <gives kitty hugs> <Leo and Lovie the kitties come and meow in your face> Your cat dying makes me think of my grandmother, who is also dying. I will not sleep well tonight.
Rather remarkably, Hallia said etoe. E-toes? Like e-readers only they're shaped like toes. Hope this cheers you up!

That's the worst part of owning a pet, isn't it? *sniffle*
I'm so sorry, Joss. I'm not a Christian, but I'm sure he/she will go to cat heaven if there is one.
You can never get used to losing someone you care about.
