Depression

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Depression

Depression

if you thought you had heard,

some things that you shouldn't word,

then you go along with thee,

to tell someone to be the bee.

So look at me now!

Sitting still despite the frown.

I should be doing something,

but I'm just a little dumb thing.

I always type my feelings to this little blue screen,

but despite all your sympathies, it doesn't seem to cease.

Oh, come on NOW, think a bit, try all you can.

It's a monster, eating you up, upseting your plans.

Just TAKE A LOOOOOK,

see my eyesssss,

can't. you. feel. the. painnnnn?

This guilt insideeeee, the pain that riseeeee

it's something I hadn't felt, before.

I want it, to STOP.

my happiness, will ROT.

oh, I know what it is,

depression.

This little word.

its like a little bird,

infecting all with its song!

But sweet little birdey,

don't be so wordy,

cause my sadness. weighs more. than your head!

I can see why, those mountains go shy,

because of the depression sinking into them!

its evaporation, increasing, the mountain pride!

For I want you, to know,

all heroes will die!

Its called depressiionnnn.

it eats your conjectionsss.

So forgeett your love.

it's tearing your soulll, to none.

it's just a pain (it;s just a pain),

so go rise! (Be insane!)

You are the best! (You are the worst.)

so GET DONE(;Go away!)

BE FAR. (Stay with me!)

for. it's.

depression.

I went through depression too before. Just know that whatever happens you will be the same awesome person that you always were and if you need anything, all the CBers on chatterbox will be there for you. I know I will. You will do great things in life and you have no idea how much of an incredible person you are. I recommend listening to music. Also, it's good to cry. It lets the pain out.

After all this has passed, I still will remain
After I've cried my last, there'll be beauty from pain
Though it won't be today,
Someday I'll hope again
And there'll be beauty from pain
You will bring beauty from my pain

*Danie?*

Life has bad bites and good, and sometimes a bit with a bit of poison in it.

I think of it this way...

will we be dying for something, or dying in our old age.

I know that isn't very helpful but...

Fantastic poem that could probably be sung about a not so fantastic subject. I believe I understand what you are going through. I am depressed sometimes as well, although I presume what I have is not as horrible as what you have. You probably just want someone who can understand and not try to tell everyone they know about your depression.

I reccommend excercise, eating good breakfasts, loud music, and dancing. Hanging out with friends helps me tremendously.

I hope you are lifted out of the depths of darkness that that blasted balrog depression has swept you into soon.

Yes, I've gone through depression before. It's a pain in the rear, but you'll come through, whoever you are. (Danie? Don't worry. Everything will be alright in the end. I don't know you, but I know you're strong. You can make it, don't let this hold you back.)

-All my friends aren't real friends.

-school

-thinking that I'm horrible at everything.

@Danie,

I know you don't really know me, but I'd like to offer advice anyway.

General Depression: Spend time with people you know care about you. (I'm really not implying anyone in particular, just so you know.)

General Depression: Be honest with yourself - there's got to be something you're good at! Even if you haven't discovered it yet, everyone has something special that they're excellent at.

As for school: if you need help, ask for it! There's a saying, "Smart people ask for help."

For your friends, if they're all being unkind to you, you're hanging out with the wrong crowd. Find someone new!

Stress: you might just have too many things on your hands. Consider what is most important to you and what isn't, and then cut back on the things that are less important to you.

No friends: make some! :)

I hope you find this information useful.

Danie, you are unique. You are not better then ANYONE.

But NO ONE is better then you. No one is or was or ever will be.

You are a brilliant, very smart person and a talented writer. Few people I know are as talented at writing as you, (Besides other people on Cricket, though you still are better then most.)

Think of things you are good at!

Minecraft! Writing! Jokes!

Things you are bad at? Pfft, who cares? Nobody is good at everything.

If your friends aren't really your friends then its their loss. They are the ones missing out on your companionship.

Obviously, unlike me, you aren't the most social. So you don't have to go hunting for friends, let them come to you and when they do, don't ignore them. A real friend will know your true value as a person.

Don't downgrade yourself because people are better at something than you; think of the things YOU are good at.

Yes, I agree with Katydid, concentrate on what you're good at, and if you still are depressed, then practice at the stuff people are better at doing than you, then you'll get better at doing it. And if that doesn't work.... stop thinking about what you're good at or not, and have fun, and DO it!

Then because you're not focusing on whether you're good or bad at something, you can still have fun doing it! And remember, don't judge yourself on what you're good at or bad at, that doesn't matter. it's how good a person you are that matters. whoa. That sounded so cheesy. But it's true!

Oh Danie...

I'm so bad at this stuff. I've gone through a tad of depression too, and the only thing I've learned is not to forget that the sun rises again.

And sadly, my depression was mainly caused because of the first thing on your list.
